“Brittany did a great job taking care of our two cats when we were gone for a week. She stopped by every day at the same time and sent updates and photos. She was very amenable to taking in the mail and putting our trash cans back after trash day, which I appreciated. Would definitely request her again.”

About: We are not ready to own a pet full time just yet but I would love to help other owners with their pets. I do have children my youngest being 6 so they do have to be children friendly but I also have a safe space your pet can be separate from them when they want or need to be. I grew up with all different types of animals my whole life as well as worked taking care of, full time, a rescue that consisted of 16 cats, 5 dogs and 5 horses. So I am very familiar with animals and their needs. This is the first time I have not had a pet in my life which is why I decided to join this app. Hope to see you and your pets soon!! I am a licensed real estate agent and mother to three beautiful children. I am available at various times to watch and care for your pets. I love to be outdoors and going for walks. I live in an apartment complex, in the building that sits in the back. I have open space and an outdoors community area where your pet can go for a walk or use the bathroom. I also am comfortable working in others homes with respect to their belongings and personal preferences.
About: ~ I consider myself a compassionate caretaker in as much as I do. ~ * Although I have only had two dogs of my own: a Spaniel-mix (rescue) & Terrier-mix (from a litter) I took upon a role of part-time caretaker, by helping to feed, walk, and bathe our dogs. I enjoyed using a k9sportsack to carry our smaller pup on extended hikes when terrain was tough. I hope that your pet can enjoy their time with my family and myself - as I believe we are keen to sense a pet's basic needs. Personally, I know of fun &/or calm places to take pets on brief outings outdoors, including trails &/or parks. I also take time to clean up along the way, or afterwards. Please feel free to browse my Facebook (Max Allan Mosesman) or Instagram profile (maxmosesman) where I post my most frequented routes, travels, & hobbies. If your pet does end up booking a stay with us (please schedule a Meet & Greet beforehand in order to meet us and our environment so that we can best prepare for your pet's booking as per their individual needs & preferences). Our home is small to medium sized, and good for up to 1-2 pets maximum (if they are already house trained), to take naps within, and/or sleep overnight. Our Backyard, half-grass/half-patio is also on the small to medium scale, with fencing on all three sides. The outdoor yard has side access (to a Garage) with two gates (one is removeable) along the way. Both front & back yards contain flowers, herbs, and fruit-bearing trees that you or your pet may find pleasant to be around. Currently, we are only accepting small to medium sized dogs that are already well-trained & socialized. If this description matches what you are looking for - then we hope to help you and your pet out soon enough! I currently work/volunteer part-time - which gives me about every other morning to take your dog outside on a specific hike (if deemed suitable & appropriate), as well as check in on them throughout the day for basic feeding and breaks in the backyard. Currently we have five members to our household, and each person does a part to help out with boarding pets, which includes some combination of feeding, walking, playing, bathing, and 'light' grooming. We are open to any & all suggestions that specifically pertain to your pet and will to our best to make adjustments accordingly.
About: Welcome to Sung & So Pet Care! Our family, including our beloved Cocker Spaniel Sunny, provides a cage-free, loving home for dogs. With over 4 years of experience caring for various breeds, we follow each dog’s routine closely and ensure every pet gets plenty of walks, playtime, and attention, just like Sunny enjoys every day. I stay at home every day, making food and taking care of the dogs. My husband goes to work every day and my son goes to school in the morning and goes home to do other activities. On his free time, he usually plays games or plays with the dogs. I care for pets in a safe, calm, and loving environment where they are treated like family. In my home, dogs stay in a cage-free space and are supervised throughout the day. I follow each pet’s regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and rest. I also reinforce basic manners and leash etiquette during walks. Upon request, I provide homemade meals or treats once a day in addition to their regular food, and for long-term stays, I offer bathing services. To ensure a healthy environment, all pets must be up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and on regular flea prevention. I require advance booking and strongly recommend a meet-and-greet visit before care begins so pets can feel comfortable and adjust well. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my priority is always safety, consistency, and giving each pet the same love and attention I give my own. 🐶💛
About: I worked in an animal shelter for a year in high school to help dogs get adopted. I also have taken care of friends and family pets for years! I do have foster care experience with an American bully who made himself at home quickly and got adopted shortly after! Currently I have an open schedule this week! I would love to drop in and spend time with your pet and provide them with the love and care they deserve! Caring for a new pet requires patience and understanding. We are both meeting each other for the first time so it's important to listen to pay attention to their needs.
About: *** ALL Time Slots are now filled. Thank you to all who checked in*** I will reActive when slots become available! *please leave a text msg either through Rovers messenger or cell phone text so there is a written conversation for both parties to reference* ** ** Residential walks are 20/hr hikes are 35. Those with a higher energy level I do hikes with but that is all based on the client's age, agility and their leash training. For 1 dog per Hike is $35 With new clients I like to have a "meet and greet" at their pickup location before walking services begin. That way I am not a "stranger" to them for pick up on our first hike and get to learn a bit about their behavior. Hikes involve water breaks as needed but usually at halfway point and at the end of the hike with a paw check. Hikes and residential walks are tracked via gps app which you will get a screen shot of so you know where we went, the distance and time. For hikes I also film for short session videos usually about 35-45 second videos that I send via text message. Treats are optional. I use Hebrew national hot dogs; which are cut into small circles and those circles get cut into 4. So two small circles turn into 8 nibble size treats. If you have preferred treats that you currently use I will use those, or if you don't want any treats used thats ok too. For a 1 hour residential walk is $20 per dog. Usually no water breaks but depending on the weather there may be a halfway point water break. I also film parts of the residential walk and will send a short 30-40 second video via text message. I only do hikes and walks Monday, Wednesday,Friday. I currently have a 7AM slot open Monday, Wednesday and Friday available. **ONLY 7AM slot available** I have to pick up my son from school so I only walk dogs during the morning hours. I take care of my dogs at home. One is a senior that takes an oral medication twice a day. Sorry I don't do boarding.
About: I’ve been around animals since I was 5, so I’m comfortable with animals of almost every shape and size. I’ve done volunteer work helping stray dogs find safety, and currently volunteer at a local animal shelter where I clean up after and interact with animals of almost variety of temperaments. Whatever your pet’s needs, I’ll give them the care and safety they deserve! I currently work under a flexible schedule so I am available both weekends and weekdays for dog walking, check-ins, and pet sitting. I only need one day’s notice for low-intensity interactions, and a week’s notice for overnight sitting. I am attentive to your pet’s body language and any of their other needs. I can handle smaller animals safely when needed, and will keep your dogs on safe paths when walking.
“Chloe did an incredible job at the last minute, helping us with cat care when our other sitter fell through. She is clearly a really lovely person, and was professional, responsible, and thorough on top of that. Our cat seemed not to miss us at all!! I highly recommend her.”
About: I have hands on experience raising two energetic and loyal German Shepherds. I offer a balanced approach to care, with focus on creating an stress-free , fun and safe environment. I’m currently working in La Crescenta from Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm so I have all afternoons free to walk or drop in on your pets while you’re away. I can also do a quick drop in from 11:30am- 12:30pm At the moment I can not care for pets in my home but in a clients home I would get clear instructions from the client for house rules, feedings, medications, etc. Get to know the home and routines of the pets and have emergency contacts to call.

About: I’ve been dog sitting and walking dogs since I was in high school for neighbors, friends, and even a few of my teachers. I grew up around animals and have always loved spending time with them. At my childhood home we would often watch friends’ dogs while they were away, so caring for pets has been part of my life for a long time. Most of my experience is with dogs, but I’ve also cared for cats and other small pets. I even had a pet bird for a couple of years, so I’ve always enjoyed being around animals of all kinds. I work as a film editor, and Rover is something I do on the side because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and getting outside for walks. It’s a nice way to break up the day and spend time with some great pets. I’m comfortable with drop-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I tend to work more with dogs, but I’m happy to help with cats as well depending on the situation. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always try to make visits calm, fun, and stress-free for them. I’m always happy to do a quick meet-and-greet beforehand so your pet can get to know me and we can make sure it’s a good match. I have a flexible schedule and can usually fit pet visits easily into my day. I work as a film editor, so I’m often working from home and can step out for drop-ins, walks, feeding, or playtime. Pet visits are something I enjoy doing to get outside and spend time with animals, so I try to make each visit relaxed and attentive for your pet. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to keep things calm and consistent with their usual routine. I’m attentive to instructions for feeding, walks, medications, or anything else your pet needs. I make sure pets feel comfortable while their owners are away and treat every home with respect and care.
About: From hamsters and lizards, to cats and dogs, I have been a devoted pet parent (and aunt) my whole life. I absolutely adore my Shiba Inu and treat her like the princess she is. I have experience with training as well as pet-sitting and checking in on dogs of friends and family. I am currently a freelancer and work from home. I can be available with short notice mornings, afternoons, and sometimes evenings. Just let me know and we can work something out (: I live in a home with a fully fenced yard. My dog loves to play out back and on the front lawn. There's plenty of room indoors as well.
About: Trust your beloved pets to a mature, responsible adult. I enjoy a loyal following of repeat clientele because my clients understand that I can be trusted both with their beloved pets and with their homes. We can board up to two dogs at one time, but they must be from the same family home. I am a successful small business owner and I work out of my home. I live within convenient probity proximity to downtown Glendale and the 134 freeway. Each visiting dog may arrive with a bed, blanket, toys or anything else you think necessary for them to enjoy a sense of stability and security. If requested, we're happy to send updates, pictures and videos to assure you that all is well with your pet. “Alisa is a very attentive and caring sitter with a great connection to animals. She and Rocky found a common language right away, and it was clear he felt comfortable and happy with her. Alisa is easy to communicate with, responsive, and very accurate and thoughtful. I felt confident leaving Rocky in her care and would happily book with her again.”

“Isabel did a great job caring for our two dogs. She was communicative and flexible. Our dogs quickly got along with her and trusted her. Looking forward to enlisting her services again.”

“Sorn is a dream! Extremely responsible, communicative, and a good vibe. Sorn watched out kitties over Christmas and it was wonderful to know they were in such great hands. We will absolutely work with Sorn again. Thank you, Sorn!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Verdugo City
Ru was so amazing with our dog Sienna! She took care of Sienna for 3 1-hr drop-in visits while I was out of town for work. I loved that she sent lots of great photos and updates. Sienna was clearly well cared for and had so much fun! I would definitely use Ru again for Sienna!

Tomoko was wonderful! She took great care of my cat for two weeks and kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. My cat was happy and well cared for the entire time. I really appreciated her kindness and attention, and I would definitely book her again. Highly recommend!
I was so impressed with Michelle and Liz. They played with my (very active) cat and I was never worrried for a moment. I felt like my cat was being taken care of by a friend. This was the first time I left my cat alone with ANYONE and I was very nervous about how she would do but I got pictures of her cuddling and playing with Michelle and Liz and I felt so relieved every day. I would definitely use them again. They were a godsend.

Barbara is the best sitter! She takes care of my cat Lancelot every time we travel. She gives him a lot of love and affection, and will go far and beyond to take care of unexpected things that happen when you travel (like plumbing issues). Thank you, Barbara!

We’re so thankful we found Maria to care for Odin and Loki. She was on time, kept us in the loop, and the boys were clearly happy and relaxed with her. From the first meeting, it was obvious she had a natural way with dogs, and we felt comfortable. She stayed responsive to our questions and made the whole experience stress-free. Truly grateful for her help — we’d happily book with her again and highly recommend her!

What a thoughtful and responsible caretaker! Larissa kindly fed and played with my 3 cats, including a pretty crazy panther-kitten; I felt like they were in great hands, she followed my instructions to a tee, and even the shy cat came out to play with her. Hope to be able to book her services for my future trips away!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
