Pirate had such a good time with Dan and his dogs that when we reunited today, Pirate gave me kind of a side eye that said, “Hey, I like hanging out here. About: Update: I took 2 years off Rover due to moving to a new area and having a long commute to work. Now I live closer to work in Pasadena and am able to start providing care again :) Hi There! I've been caring for pets for almost my entire life. I've owned or cared for rabbits, lizards, frogs, fish, cats, birds, guinea pigs, horses, and my beloved two dogs! Being a high school science teacher, I have a lot of patience and animals are always better behaved than teenagers :-D I would love to get a chance to get to know your pet(s) and treat them just like I would my own! I had my own dogs for 15+ years (they recently passed due to old age/health conditions). I am especially well-versed in daily care for small dogs, but I am willing to learn and apply whatever is best for your pet. I am currently available for drop-in visits and walks. I am a high school teacher and on summer break so I am available pretty much any day/time at the moment, lots of scheduling flexibility. I take pet safety very seriously after having cared for my own two senior dogs. I always walk dogs on a leash regardless of the neighborhood/area for both their safety and mine. My dogs and any visiting dogs will never be left alone together in the same area (I have a large gated pen I can use to separate dogs when necessary). I always am very careful about following owner's instructions and will ask questions if I think I need assistance. I also send detailed Rover cards with information about everything that happened during your pet's stay/walk/drop-in.

That being said, trust and respect are my main priorities when responsible for people’s most loved possessions (one’s house and animals). I am a part high school, part college student with an extremely flexible schedule. I generally wake up early and am comfortable staying or commuting to people’s houses. When pet sitting I periodically check in on the animals and the owners and exercise/walk however much the owner is comfortable with. I tend to not like to bring a foreign dog into my home as I’m not sure how my dog or my clients dog will respond. Not a risk I’m willing to take. About: I live in an 800sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. I usually keep cats in the bedroom and dogs in the living room or whatever works. If you are not ok with that, please confirm with me if I am boarding any other pets. Not spayed pets are ok and I make sure there is nothing to worry about. I absolutely love pets and even after they come back to their actual home, I still look for them around my apartment. They also get used to me very quickly because I give them a lot of attention and play time. Once a friend asked me to take care of their pet, and that’s when it all started. In my life, I have had 10 cats and 2 dogs (German Shepherd) so I know how to act in any situation, even emergency. I have experience with pets that have separation anxiety. I am strong and can handle even the wildest creatures and treat them gently even if they misbehave. I do not raise my voice and I do not have any strict rules. I won't keep your pet like in a "prison cell". Playing with pets is one of my most favorite things to do. I also love running and if requested, I can take your pup for some physical activity in a park. I always stop and look around before I cross the street and never cross on red light. I love taking photos of pets and if you would like, I can send you photos of them daily. I do not have experience in grooming but I will be happy to give your pet a bath so it's clean and fresh when you pick it up. I always leave a small light on. Also, if it is hot/cold outside, I make sure to keep comfortable temperature inside. Kitties love my portable heaters! About: I’ve been petsitting for 12+ years and fostering animals for 8+ years! I have taken care of many dogs under age 1 as well as senior dogs. I also have experience fostering kittens (as young as 2 weeks old) and cats! I am fluent in both Korean and English! Also, one of my family members is a veterinary assistant :) My home is condominium, and the floor is hardwood. I have a small patio area inside my house. I also have a small grass area for the residents — it’s located outside my house but inside the condominium complex. Pets are always welcome to sleep on bed or relax on our furniture! Usually, we take the pets out for potty breaks 4 times a day—first one in the morning, second one around noon, third one in the afternoon, and last one at night, right before bed. We also use the small patio area for potties if they need to potty more frequently. I take them on walks in the afternoon! For cats, I clean the litter box as soon as I see that they used it. I also have plenty of toys, treats, and cardboard scratchers! My parents and I will be available to take care of your pets full-time! My family (5) is also available to take care of the pets most of the time! If you do not want your pet/pets to interact with other pets, I can separate them upstairs and downstairs. At least one person will be available upstairs and downstairs so the pets are not left alone! Our condominium complex has two doors/gates (front and back) . I look forward to sitting your pets!
About: I'm a former clinical research nurse coordinator dealing with human patients for 20 years before becoming disabled. I have had pets all of my life. I have adopted several cats and dogs from the humane society including a 3 legged Siamese cat who was a Siamese twin that surgically separated from his sister leaving them both with 3 legs. I lost my husband to pancreatic cancer 4 years ago and I now am looking to supplement my income by working with animals and giving and receiving unconditional love. I make sure that the pets are fed, have water, and go potty, (which means cleaning up after them.) Of course play with and walk the dogs. I would come to your home at intervals of 1, 2 or 3 times a day or if you or if you need I can stay at your home to care for your pet.

I'm out of college for the summer, so I have lots of free time to spend with pets. I can come by frequently for pet care activities, as well as stay in-home. I will play with your pet, snuggle with them, and do any other activities they find enriching!! I truly love animals with all my heart and care that they are safe and happy!!
About: We are not ready to own a pet full time just yet but I would love to help other owners with their pets. I do have children my youngest being 6 so they do have to be children friendly but I also have a safe space your pet can be separate from them when they want or need to be. I grew up with all different types of animals my whole life as well as worked taking care of, full time, a rescue that consisted of 16 cats, 5 dogs and 5 horses. About: I absolutely love dogs. I've grown up with dogs all my life, sometimes with 5 in the house at a time. Along with taking care of my own dogs, I began dog sitting and dog walking for family members and family friends when I was 15. I love making dogs happy, getting them out of the house on walks, playing tug of war with them, or just cuddling on the couch. I am a full time college student taking mainly online classes so I have a good amount of availability. I am available Monday-Friday mainly all day, for the weekends I have limited availability but I can always be flexible. I think being respectful of what your boundaries are is most important. About: I've taken care of dogs for a long time. Extended family members have dropped off their pets with me when they are away on holiday. I enjoy playing with them. I work from home so your pet will have supervision at all times. Typically I walk my dog, Mochi, once in the morning. Sometimes I play fetch with her around noon if she's up for it. I feed her on schedule daily. I have a large fenced yard and one friendly dog who will enjoy a playmate, as you may see in the first photo of Mochi with the pavers and grass. I make sure that there is always fresh water available for Mochi and that she gets regular outdoor breaks.
About: I have had animals my entire life dogs, cats, hamsters and a snake. I have taken care of numerous pets for my family and friends. I am a college student and will be available anytime I am not in class! I have a lot of free time which i would love to be filled with spending time with animals. About: Before boarding, l should know the living habits of the pets. Feed them on time every day, keep the boarding environment clean, take them for a walk in the morning, at noon and in the evening, train them to relieve themselves outside. During the day, the dogs play in a safe yard and sleep in the indoor dog bed at night. Pay attention to the details of the pets. In case of any emergency, communicate in time I get up at 5 am every day and work part -time marshalls from 6 am to 10 am for 3 days a week ,the rest of the time l' m free and can take care of pets, Even l am not home , my husband will be at home, so don't worry , be safe/ be clean /be happy ! I live the house with a closed and secure yard ,during the day pets can freely move and play around in the yard, the room on the second floor is where the pets sleep,l don't boarding more than three pets at sam time

“This was our first time using Rover for our German Shepard, Axel and Buddy’s Retreat could not have made the experience more perfect! Christine was warm, thorough, and welcoming at our meet and greet. Easing any of our concerns and giving us a run through of a typical day. Drop off was quick and easy- Axel immediately felt at home! The updates were frequent with lots of happy puppy pictures from playing with the other dogs, numerous games of ball and snuggling in his bed. Our pup can even be a finicky eater and they were kind to try different treats to entice him to eat. Upon pickup Axel was the most calm I’ve ever see him after a time away from us.
