“Savannah did a wonderful job taking care of Phoebe. She was attentive, gentle, and responsible, making sure Phoebe was comfortable and well cared for at all times. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Phoebe’s well-being, which gave great peace of mind.”

“Mark did a wonderful job with my fur babies. Very attentive, punctual, and caring. My two pups are like polar opposites, one big and hyper, one small and chill, and he made sure they each got the attention they needed. Excellent job!”

About: Working with my mom and brother since 10 I am now setting out on my own, we have made sure every pet in and throughout has gotten their proper care and I will continue to today. I am a vet ACE center student at Hermitage High School and a senior in high school at Freeman so be assured I am taking the time to learn about your fur baby and will do my best to succeed in their best liking. Currently I take care of pets at home through my mom but I am going on my own and at my ACE center, as I have at past jobs of mine. So after school and on the weekends is best for me. If you write out your schedule, what time for feedings, walks, when bedtimes are, and preferences, I will do it to the best of my ability while also updating suggestions and places to get supplies. You will get updated with pictures and other chores you would like done at your will.

About: Hi. I go by Kimmy! I think what sets me apart most is that I genuinely enjoy being around animals and I’m very comfortable handling both the fun and messy parts of pet care. I’m especially experienced with cats — I currently have three of my own, including two that I adopted as seniors and one kitten I raised from 8 weeks old. That’s given me experience with everything from energetic kittens to older cats that need extra patience, monitoring, and gentle care. I’m also comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve helped care for stubborn corgis, abandoned 5-month-old puppies, and pitbull mixes. When my boyfriend works long days, I regularly take his dogs out for walks up to six times a day because I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and making sure they get enough exercise and attention. I’m not squeamish or easily overwhelmed, so I’m comfortable handling things like accidents, litter boxes, hairballs, vomit, bath time, medications, minor wound care, and cleaning up after pets when they’re not feeling well. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and bathroom habits because I know those small details can matter. I try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I'm currently a part time graduate student, and most of my classes are online so I'll have plenty of time to give your cat or dog the attention and care they deserve. I currently take my boyfriend's two dogs out at 6 AM every morning, so any time after 7 AM and before 7 PM is ideal for drop ins, walks, feedings, etc. I try to keep pets as comfortable and stress-free as possible by sticking closely to their normal routine. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walks, litter box or potty habits, medications if needed, and making sure they’re getting enough attention, exercise, and affection while their owner is away. For cats, I’m very used to monitoring behavior, appetite, water intake, and litter box habits since I have three of my own, including two seniors. I know some cats need space at first while others want constant attention, so I adjust based on their personality and comfort level. I’m also comfortable handling things like hairballs, accidents, or cleaning up if they’re not feeling well. For dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise, bathroom breaks, and interaction throughout the day. I regularly help walk and care for my boyfriend’s dogs when he works long shifts, so I’m used to keeping up with high-energy dogs as well as more stubborn personalities. I’m comfortable with cleanup, bath time, minor wound care, and making sure pets feel safe, calm, and cared for in both my home and theirs. I make sure to update or ask permission from the owners if there are any deviations.

“Fantastic cat sitting service provider. My cat came down with a sudden allergy just before I left on vacation. She was willing to apply medicine on him each day and provided updates and even drove to pick up a cat medicine that was mailed to the wrong address. She’s very nice and friendly and my skeptical cat warmed up to her quickly. Would absolutely recommend.”

About: I’ve owned pets my whole life. I have experience with puppies, adult, and senior dogs. Cats as well. I have a 3 year old active dutch shepherd so I am used to long walks and playing fetch etc to ensure both physical and mental exercise. I work full time but do so remotely and can be flexible with my breaks. I will have the most availability Friday-Sunday and then evenings Monday-Thusday. I am great at following clients instructions and preferences. I am available to care for your pet in your home for drop in visits as well as walks.
University Of Richmond pet parents share their Rover experiences
Meghan was great with my cats and dogs. She was very professional and took notes at our meet and greet. She didn't have to ask any questions while caring for my pets. She also didn't send an overabundance of pictures, usually just one picture of each animal.

Dawn was amazing. This was my first time ever using any sort of pet sitter that wasn't family. She went out of her way to explain how it works and to set me at ease. She took excellent care of my 2 kitties while I was away and was a great communicator. My cats were happy to see me but I could tell they weren't stressed, and it was obvious from the pictures she sent during her visits that my cats were comfortable with her. 100% would use Dawn any time I go out of town. She even left them a little treat (a can of salmon) which they LOVED.
