“Ashley was our dog walker for the summer and she was great! She was extremely punctual and incredibly reliable. I think she was only late once (just by a few minutes) and she let me know ahead of time. Very good communication. My dog is a reactive to other dogs on leash and she did a great job managing his reactivity and listening to his needs. She also took out our pit Lexi, who’s a big funny little crazy lug, and did a great job managing her energy. If I was staying in the Seattle area, I would def hire her services again!”

About: Not only have I worked in the industry for many years I have been trusted to take care of pets that have very specific needs. This ranges from administration of medications, assisting pets who are blind/deaf and assisting animals with megaeaopagus. I love animals and have worked previously in a wildlife center. I work a regular 9–5 schedule, but I do have some flexibility during the day. If you're located near the University of Washington, I’d be happy to stop by for midday walks or check-ins during my lunch break. Evenings and weekends are typically wide open, and I’m always happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need! I always love taking the dogs on walks and ensuring to enrich them daily. With my own family dog I love hiking and taking them swimming.

About: I was practically raised by dogs as a child. I spent a lot of time with various dogs such as Irish Setters, Labs, Poodles, and Hounds; bringing them to parks and beaches to walk and play. I can throw a ball pretty far, and a Frisbee even further. I can help reinforce verbal commands and administer oral medication. I am currently self employed, so I am able to set my own schedule. I can accommodate your pet's routine while you are away, helping both of you stay as low stress as possible. Your pet gets to stay comfortable in a familiar space. I am typically a calm and quiet person who can assert themselves as necessary, keeping your pets calm, safe and reassured.

About: Available for early morning and late evening walks so your pup can beat the summer heat! Hello! My name is Cave and I have experience taking care of dogs of all ages and sizes, but have a soft spot for senior dogs! I have over 3 years of experience caring for senior dogs with limited mobility and health issues. I enjoy learning how to be a better friend and caretaker to our furry friends by trying to give them as much autonomy as possible and prioritizing their needs and ways of communication. Use my promo code CAVET94308 for a discount when booking with me! ~June 13th I am available before 6pm ~June 16th I am available after 11:30am ~June 18th I am available before 12pm and after 5pm I am between jobs right now so my schedule is quite flexible. For walks during the Summer, my schedule is most open from 6am-11am and 6pm-9pm. I have more flexibility with drop-in appointments during the summer but typically prefer 10am-8pm :•) The safety and comfort of an animal is my top priority. I am a very thorough pet parent myself and will always make sure to review any specific needs your pet has in order to provide them with a fun and comfortable time.

“Paige was amazing. She came over to spend a few hours with my 10 week old pup to give this puppy mama a much needed break. She showed up on time/early, was easy to communicate with and super friendly, and my girl had a great time. We can’t wait to see her again soon!”

“Maddie was a great cat sitter while we were out of town! She was communicative with us and timely for all check-ins (even bringing in a few porch packages so they weren’t sitting outside all week). Despite our old cat’s grumpiness, Maddie was patient and kind and sent us photos and thorough reports. We appreciate Maddie’s care and look forward to having her pet sit again!”

“Amy was great with our two fur babies! They loved playing with her and she took some amazing photos of the visits 😹 She is a great communicator as well. We loved working with her!”

About: Ever since my family adopted our first dog Corey, I discovered my passion for caring for others. She was a 15 lb miniature schnauzer and I would always take her on walks and play with her after school. My uncle had a husky (Marla) and a golden retriever (Maddy) and I had the opportunity to take care of them while he was away. I am currently working full time at the airport as a trainee for air traffic controller. My current schedule is friday/Saturday 12pm to 8pm, Sunday 10am to 6pm, and monday/tuesday 7am to 3pm. I am available before and after those hours to take care of your furry family members. Wednesday and Thursday I have full availability. I ensure that every pet's needs are met while maintaining thorough communication with the client. I can provide frequent exercise, potty breaks, playtime, and meals. Whatever your pet may need I will surely be able to provide.

About: Though it's been some time, I gained hands-on experience caring for my grandmother’s Golden Retriever when I was younger (ages 6-12). I handled everything from feeding and playtime to washing and general care. This early experience taught me responsibility and a deep understanding of dogs' needs. My background in caregiving and fitness also adds to my ability to provide attentive, active care, ensuring every dog feels loved and well-cared-for. As a second-year Physical Therapy student at the University of Washington, I'm currently on break with no classes, giving me ample time to dedicate to pet care. This break allows me to be flexible and fully available to assist with your dog care needs, ensuring your pet gets the attention and care they deserve! While I don't currently have a pet myself, my experience as a personal trainer and future Physical Therapist has taught me the importance of care, attention, and empathy. Just as I prioritize the well-being of my clients, I bring that same level of dedication to caring for pets. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I ensure that each dog receives personalized care, tailored to their unique needs, much like I do with my human clients.

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages, from puppies who need patient training to older pets who need extra gentleness and special care. I’m experienced with giving medications, handling special diets, and reading body language to know when a pet needs comfort, space, or play. I treat each animal like they’re my own, and I take pride in being reliable, communicative, and genuinely excited to see them every time. I’m currently working part-time and would love to spend my free time with your pets! I’m available all day Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as anytime before 2pm any other day of the week. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I prioritize keeping their routine as close to normal as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. I provide fresh water, meals, plenty of potty breaks, and lots of attention. I’m detail-oriented about feeding schedules, medications, and exercise needs, and I keep your home tidy and safe during my stay. I treat every pet like my own: snuggles, playtime, and all.

University District pet parents share their Rover experiences
Kit is an incredible cat sitter! She was very responsive, communicative, and always on schedule. She took wonderful care of my cat and provided daily updates that gave me peace of mind while I was away. I felt very comfortable with Kit after our first meeting. She is trustworthy and immediately put me at ease leaving both my cat and home in her care. Kit is very experienced, even with older cats who have additional needs. She did an amazing job with my surly, senior cat and kept her comfortable and healthy when she is usually stressed after visits. She also went above and beyond in cleaning the litter box. I am already looking forward to booking Kit for future visits. I highly recommend her to anyone searching for a reliable and compassionate cat sitter. This is especially true for anyone with older cats or pets needing a little extra attention from a dedicated cat sitter.

Hunter did a great job watching over my two cats while I was away. They are pretty timid around strangers but she was patient and gentle with them, so they were comfortable enough to interact and play. She was very responsive and followed all instructions, and left my apartment nice and neat. Would definitely book Hunter again!

Natalia and Scott did a fantastic job and we would gladly work work them again! Communication was easy and reliable - we scheduled a meet and greet before the booking began and thoroughly walked through everything together. They clearly followed our instructions and were on time for each visit. We appreciated the detailed notes and photos for each visit, and the apartment was in perfect shape when we returned! Our kitty’s health and safety were clearly a priority :)

Allison did a wonderful job once again. She is very professional, responsible, and reliable as a cat sitter. My four cats were very happy under her care, and I really enjoyed the comments and the photos she sent after each visit. I would definitely ask her again and highly recommend her to others.

A lifesaver for last-minute changes! We were so lucky that Kevin was available to extend our booking for an extra day when our plans unexpectedly changed. He was a lifesaver! Coming home to three happy, healthy, and incredibly pampered tigerz was the best feeling. Kevin's care and service were outstanding, and we would absolutely book with him again. Thank you so much, Kevin!
