About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have always loved being around them. Whenever my parents were away, I was responsible for walking, feeding, and playing with our dogs, so taking care of them has always been a normal part of my life. I also have a cat of my own, so I understand the responsibilities that come with caring for cats and making sure they are fed, comfortable, and getting the attention they need. I also understand that some pets experience separation anxiety when their owners are away. I’m thoughtful and attentive to animal body language and pay close attention to changes in their behavior, energy, and comfort level. I try to meet animals where they are rather than forcing interaction, especially when they are nervous or anxious. I’m patient and willing to give pets the time and space they need to feel comfortable with me. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, cared for, and as comfortable as possible while their parents are away. Since I have a cat of my own, pet care is always on my mind. I am used to constantly thing of how to make life better for my own animal, and keeping her healthy and fed. I work 8 hours 3 days a week, which makes it easy to fit in pet care either before or after work, or during my days off. Additionally, I have a safe and reliable car to take me anywhere in the city which makes caring for your pet more accessible. I have a large house in a very safe neighborhood. My home is already safe for pets due to having a cat living with me. My cat is extremely kind and gentle. I live in a quiet, residential neighborhood on a safe and not busy street. However, I would not let any pet off leash due to the unknown risk.

About: Both my husband and I have hands-on experience as pet owners and frequent Rover clients! I’m from Utah and my husband, Ikumi, is from Japan, where I lived for 9 years. We actually brought our Golden Retriever, Arc, overseas with us from Japan, so we are incredibly attuned to keeping dogs safe and comfortable during big life transitions. Between the two of us, we’ve grown up with French Bulldogs, Labs, Poodles, and Australian Shepherds, giving us a great foundation for handling all different sizes and energy levels. Because we use Rover for Arc, we know exactly what pet parents want: excellent communication, lots of photos, and total peace of mind. We decided to become sitters because we simply love dogs and want Arc to have regular playmates. Whether your dog is young and playful or an older dog who just wants to lounge, we will treat your pup exactly like our own! Between my hybrid work schedule (three days in the office, two at home) and my husband’s evening part-time schedule working at MLB games, we have pet care completely covered! There is almost always someone at home, meaning your dog will rarely be without human company. For exercise, we stick to a great routine: we usually take Arc out for a dedicated hour-long walk together during the day, supplemented by reliable morning and nightly potty breaks. When your dog stays with us, their comfort and safety are our top priorities. We maintain a secure, clean, and entirely dog-friendly environment, and we always closely supervise playtime, especially as your pup gets to know our dog, Arc! Our philosophy is to let your dog set the pace and we will match their energy. If they are feeling active, we love bringing out the toys for a fun play session in the home. If they are older, anxious, or just want to relax, we are more than happy to just cuddle and chill. We strictly follow your specific rules and routines regarding feeding, treats, and furniture privileges to ensure a trustworthy, stress-free stay that feels just like their own home.

About: I have many years of global house/pet sitting experience on other sites but am new to Rover. I will be back in the Seattle area from the beginning of October 2026 and will be house sitting until at least September 2027. I sat for a 350 year old original Greek stone home with 8 cats, 2 dogs, a very large garden and exotic plants. November 2025-March 2026. Seattle, Washington. One of the benefits of the area that I live is that we are surrounded by nature so there are many animals here. Sometimes when I open my front door in the morning there are deer in front of my gate waiting to see what will happen at breakfast time. Travel/Work/experience: 1993-1994 Worked for a historical museum in Ukraine. Was responsible for finding and conducting video interviews with Ukrainian Holocaust survivors. Specifically we were looking for survivors of Einsatzgruppen events. 1994-1995 High school History/English teacher in Bratislava, Slovakia. 1995-1997 Teacher and then manager of a private language school in Moscow, Russia. 1997-1998 Manager of a bar/restaurant, Koh Samet, Thailand. I ran a beachfront bar with 15 bungalows and a small restaurant. Was responsible for all operations, payroll, staffing etc. 50-100 customers daily. 1998-1999 History/English instructor for City University of Seattle. 1999-2002 Worked as a deckhand in Alaska on Salmon and Crab boats. Yes, exactly as in the Deadliest Catch but 7 years before the show started. Was on my boat each year for between 8-10 months. 2002-present. Owner of a private Language School. I have slowly grown my school into one of the largest language schools in Slovakia. I currently have a staff of over 50 teachers teaching English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian as well as Slovak for the many foreign managers living and working in multinational companies. My school cooperates with most of the large multinational companies in the area. I also cooperate quite closely with the local and state police departments as well as the mayor and city council all of whom are my students. While I will be house-sitting for you I will be managing my private Language School online. I will always have time to take care of the homes that I sit for as well as the pets regular routine. I always try my best to maintain the same pet schedule. 1st of all I LOVE ANIMALS! Our home in Slovakia is located up on the hill in the woods overlooking the lake. We have a large orchard and our nearest neighbor is about 300 m from us. We currently have 7 cats in various phases of either living, hanging out, or adding us to their busy social/feeding routine. During the Summer I take care of 2 friends' homes so I take care of their dogs, cats, fish, and even a very old turtle. as well. I travel to the U.S. regularly to visit friends/family each and this website is a perfect fit for my lifestyle as I manage my school remotely. To be quite honest, for all of the travelling I have done over the past 30 years, I have not travelled nor experienced the U.S. much which is another reason I have joined this website. I thought it would be a great way to see the U.S. as well as spend time with lots of great pets! I could take you anywhere you wanted on the Budapest metro blindfolded but have never been to Washington D.C. for example. About: Hello! I'm Shelby. I live with my dog, Maggie, and my cat, Neko (both senior gals), but I still gasp audibly every time I see an animal in the street. I know how scary it can be to be away from your pets, especially if you have to leave them with someone you don't know. I also know how important it can be to leave them with someone you really trust. I promise I'll take care of your babies like they are my own - and I'd love to send you a bajillion pictures of their adorable little faces, too. Rover is my full-time job at the moment! Please check my calendar to see what days I am available for walks, boarding, and other services. I live in an apartment in an older home in the Central District with a fenced yard. Please note I have an elderly cat and dog who are both friendly with other animals but fairly low-energy. My animals have mostly free reign of the apartment - they're allowed on the couches, beds, etc, but I try to keep my dog from going into the bathroom so she doesn't get into my cat's litter or food. As a house- and pet-sitter, I aim to treat your space and your animals the way you would - with respect, love, and care.

About: I grew up in a home where there were always animals. As a child, I helped my parents take care of our two dogs, Trufa and Chispa—cleaning them, taking them for walks, and giving them lots of love. Later on, I occasionally took care of my sister’s dog, Darko, the cutest dachshund. Finally, I was an au pair from 2020 to 2021, and whenever my host family traveled, I was in charge of taking care of their dogs—Milo (a yellow lab) and Zara (a Great Dane). Now, I’m looking to take care for animals again so I can keep sharing my love with other dogs and save up to have one of my own someday! I’m searching for a job in marketing right now so I have plenty of time to take care of your pet, but in the future that will change a little bit. However, i would be flexible to make it work! About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have experience working with reactive pups in particular. It’s my priority to make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and happy. I’d love to take your pup for a run, a long walk around the neighborhood, or just hang for some belly rubs if that’s more their speed. I’m currently a graduate student, so I’ve got a flexible schedule and lots of room to care for pets - especially midday when their parents may be at work. I’m respectful of my clients’ homes and will always prioritize safety and honor the rules and systems that work for pet care in their homes! In my space, expect dog friendly furniture and a big sweet lab/pit mix to keep your pup company. I have a fenced in yard ready for backyard play and easy access for bio breaks throughout the day.

About: I’ve always had a passion for taking care of dogs and cats. I’m a personal trainer so I go on a lot of walks in the neighborhood to maintain my fitness. I care for pets by going on regular walks and making sure they are fed, hydrated and petted a lot throughout the day. It’s important they get attention like playing. The routine would be get up in the mornings go to the bathroom, outside then use some treats to practice on commands and then it would be breakfast time. I care for the pets in our home by keeping them warm and fed. And I also give them attention and some treats if necessary.

About: I have had dogs since I was a kid, I can navigate puppy-hood to senior care. I have experience with big and small, separation anxiety, on and off leash behavior issues. As for cats, I didn't find my feline affinity until a bit later in life. I had my own cat (miss him so!) and I have volunteered at PAWS Cat City for more than a decade where I assist with adoptions, cleaning, cat socialization and care. I currently have an ~20 year old foster cat named Leo. I'm so happy to have him around and to be able to help his family while they go through a period of transition. I even volunteer and help out with the care of local mini horses. Can you believe there are mini horses in the city?!? I have finite bandwidth but I will communicate clearly to be sure that I am a right fit for your pet. I am eager to help pet parents and provide quality care to their furkids. I live in Madison Valley and have a single family home with a completely fenced in back yard with lots of terrain and territory to explore.

Flexible schedule (job search in progress), Uniquely experienced with multi-pet homes, insulin-delivery/diabetic care, all ages, sizes, special needs (medication, food, gates, routine, etc.), Latest Pet care: West Seattle home - 1 large dog with food allergies, 1 dog with vision impairment, 1 cat. This was then blended with 2 more cats! I love staying with this pet family for extended periods as they travel. Madison Valley afternoon walks for a small dog and a long-term stay for another dog. Lived with a family for a year in NY for pet-care. (1 large dog with dietery limitations and medication needs, 1 small dog with elderly accommodations I've lived with and assisted with care for housemate's pets the last 5 years I've lived in Seattle. I grew up with a dog and a cat and remember taking care of the neighbors cat since I was 10. I really miss my cat who lives with my sister - he's the one with diabetes. I would love to care for your fur baby! Gone dec-jan for surgery. After I will be available weekdays and some weekends with a flexible schedule while I apply for jobs (just finished my doctorate from University of Washington). I find success sticking to the animal's pre-existing routines. Fortunately I have a flexible job that allows me to adjust as needed for earlier/later feedings/walks.
