About: I've had pets since I was five - birds, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, cats, fish. I love all animals, and will seek them out at parties or unfamiliar territory. Several of my kitties have been special-needs and required medication. I recently retired from teaching, so I am trying to pick up a few jobs that allow me the flexibility to enjoy retirement but still have a sense of purpose. I have taken on a gig teaching private lessons on Thursdays, but that is the only day I currently have a committed schedule, and that's only in the daytime on Thursdays. I am so grateful to have my furchildren to come home to, they keep me sane and grounded. When I have cared for friends' cats, I have taken care of refilling food and water, cleaning the litter boxes, and then spending time with the cats as they were willing. I usually dealt with a multi-cat situation, so I would play with and give treats to the cats that chose to play with me and just made sure the other cats were accounted for if they weren't in the mood to be social. I made a point of sending "proof of life" photos to my friends, which was was a request I always had of anyone caring for my babies.

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This was my first Rover experience and I couldn’t be happier using Kristen! She gave thorough updates each visit and provided many pictures. She was more than accommodating with the weird schedule we had. I highly recommend Kristen and she even gave extra love to the additional indoor and outdoor animals (she was only responsible for one dog!). I am so glad to know we have someone to check on Rosie and the other animals during future travels. Thank you Kristen!!! 🫶🏽”

About: I have been caring for dogs since 2018. I am passionate about the work I do and take care to be nurturing and compassionate toward all dogs and pets. I care for dogs at all life stages. I am comfortable giving medications. I am phyically fit for walks and playing. I can feed your dog and stay to make sure he/she eats. I will give your dogs the love and attention I would give my own. I am retired and have the necessary time to spend with your pets. I have the flexibility tovwork with your dog's unique schedule and needs. I am good for spur of the moment needs , as well as planned assignments. I have a fenced in backyard and a small dog of my own to keep your fur babies entertained. I can walk them up my street and and play with them in my backyard. I can also walk and play with your dogs at your home for drop in appointments. While I am there or in my own home, I can feed your dogs and stay with them to ensure they eat. I can also give medications, and I will strive to treat your dogs with dignity and respect.

About: My family loves dogs, but currently having one doesn’t match our traveling lifestyle. So we love having your pups visit us while you’re away. We used to foster for many years where we used to live. I like structure for my kids and the pups I take care of. I appreciate dogs with good manners. I have 3 kids, one that is a dog whisperer and is willing to play fetch at any time. I have 5 acres, so lots of walking and play areas. The house is far from the street so no disturbance to any dogs who enjoy their quiet time! I have a stay at home family, I home school so I am available throughout the day. I do have small stretches where my family and I are out of the house but not more than 4/5 hours max at a time, around 2 times a week. Morning coffee time for me, means outside morning bathroom time for my guests, followed by breakfast. Then attention time whatever that looks like for the individual pup. Outside breaks as needed. Afternoon play time followed with dinner. Last potty break before bed. Dogs are only allowed on the 1st floor that is all hard surfaces for easy clean up in the event there is an accident. All dogs are on leash when outside for safety. I do have 2 cats, however they are outside pets, they do not come inside. With puppies I typically do leash training, making sure they are with me at all times until they can show a level of independence and rule following, not getting into any mischief.

About: Hello! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with medium-sized dogs—primarily German Shepherds—and have helped care for four family dogs over the span of 16 years, from early puppyhood to their senior years. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve been a devoted cat owner for the past eight years and have fostered kittens for three years. I currently share my home with three beloved medium/long-haired cats and have experience supporting cats with medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications (including pills and eye drops), brushing and grooming long-haired cats, and trimming nails when the cat is comfortable and stress-free. I understand how important it is to find someone who will treat your pets like family, and I’m committed to providing gentle, attentive, and reliable care tailored to each animal’s individual needs. I currently work full-time from home as an IT professional, which allows me the flexibility to provide attentive care throughout the day. I have availability during breaks in my workday, in the evenings, and on weekends to spend quality time with your furry companion. I’ll care for your pet just the way you would—following your preferences to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Your feedback is always welcome and appreciated, as it helps me provide the best possible experience for your furry family member.

About: My passion for pet care started early—I grew up with two Miniature Australian Shepherds who taught me just how much love, energy, and attention dogs need to thrive. Since then, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, from spunky puppies to mellow seniors, and everything in between. Whether it’s an energetic walk, a calm overnight stay, or just some extra snuggles, I adapt to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I treat every pup like family, and pet parents trust me for both my reliability and the genuine care I bring to every visit. As a surgical trauma ICU nurse, I work night shifts, so my schedule can vary week to week. However, on my days off, I love spending time caring for pets—it’s a rewarding and relaxing way to recharge. My flexible schedule allows me to offer personalized, attentive care when I’m off the clock. Whether it’s dog walking, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I make sure each pet gets the love and attention they deserve. Caring for animals brings me joy, and I treat every one like part of the family. In my home, your pup will enjoy a safe, calm, and loving environment with no other pets—perfect for dogs who need one-on-one attention or a quiet space. I have a fully fenced-in yard for supervised playtime and potty breaks, and I always follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and happy. When caring for pets in your home, I’m respectful of your space and keep your pet’s day-to-day life consistent—whether that’s their favorite walking route, feeding schedule, or bedtime routine. I’m all about clear communication and sending updates, so you always know your pet is in good hands.

About: I have had a lifelong passion for animals and have cared for pets of many different kinds throughout my whole life. Cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, bunny rabbits, lizards and more. I am also particularly good with sick animals. I have a flexible work schedule and can make myself available for pet sitting at almost any time, nights and weekends included. I'm often available on short notice as well. I can do either drop-ins for just walking and feeding or I can do full time pet care overnight in your home depending on your preference.

Tracy H.
“I have known Tracy for 20+ years. In that time, I have known her to be the best pet mom ever. Truthfully, if I come back in a second life, I want to come back as one of Tracy's cats, haha! For several years we lived in the same neighborhood, and when I would go out of town she would cat-sit for me. She didn't just stop by and throw some food out and empy the litter box, she would come and spend quality time with Sylvie. They watched TV, took a nap, played with toys, whatever they decided to do. I would always get cute pictures of their antics. A few years ago, when my hubby and I knew Sylvie was in her last days, we called Tracy so she could come spend time with Sylvie to say goodbye. I know Sylvie appreciated that as much as Tracy did. Tracy loves all animals. She signed us up for goat yoga one time, haha. I think her favorite part, though, was helping to carry the little goats back to their trailer, talking to them and loving on them. I can day without reservation that Tracy would take the best care of anyone's pets.”

Janicia B.
“Janicia is the archetypal caregiver. She exudes calmness. Her home is a place of warmth, peace and joy. She’s detail oriented and anticipates and plans for the unexpected. There’s plenty of space at home. Pets are well integrated to the family, and are pampered by the kids. If having your fur baby feel like they’re loved and cared for like home is important to you, you’ve come to the right spot.”

Alyssa W.
“I can't recommend my daughter highly enough for anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and trustworthy dog walker or dog sitter for overnights. Alyssa had 2 Miniature Australian Shephard's while she was growing up, so she is very used to some high energy dogs. Our friends who have had her dog sit would also call her the "dog whisper" as their dogs just LOVE her! Alyssa is reliable, patient, and very attentive to the unique needs of each dog. Whether it is with high energy pups or older dogs who need just some extra love - she is there for them!! Your pet will be loved, safe, and well cared for each and every step of the way.”

Sarah M.

“Sarah was so great during her drop-in with my dogs!”
