About: I’ve been working with dogs for 6 years, but they’ve been my biggest passion since I was little. I have a certification in dog training, have taken a first aid class, and have experience with all kinds of pups! Dogs are my full-time job, which means your pup gets all of my time and attention! My day revolves around the care of my furr-ends! I have a fenced in yard, as well as a small turfed section that is double fenced for extra safety. I have a room in my home dedicated to the care of my clients! I have large comfy kennel spaces for each of my guests but if your pup happens to be social and non-destructive I would allow them to free-roam!

Alison took care of my cat, Wolfgang, for 5 days while I was on a cruise in the Bahamas. Everything looked better than before I left. She cleaned out the old bits and pieces of dry food from his 3 cat treat bowls and the litter box was immaculate. I will definitely plan on using Alison again in the future.

About: I have had experience with dogs for 18 years, ever since my parents got a dog for us when I was 8 years old and I had to help train it and care for it. Ever since, my family has had more dogs i’ve helped train and care for, and I have had roommates and friends with dogs that I’ve helped train and care for (including puppies, service dogs, and dogs who are elderly/ill). I am a consistent cat caretaker ever since I turned 19, when I got my first cat (7 years ago). Ever since, I have felt drawn to care for kitties and have fostered many kittens and cats since, in addition to caring for my own 2. I owned a ball python for a year or two, and my father has for six years. My sister also owned a leopard gecko for five years. I also cared for multiple guinea pigs to help out a friend for a long time. I’ve also had friends and family that have had birds that I have helped care for in the past, however, I have less experience with them. In conclusion, no matter the type, breed, size, age or health of your pet, it is important to me to make our companions/partners in life feel loved and cared for, and I would be honored to be a part of that! It is a large portion of my daily routine as is, and I would love for it to be an even larger part, especially if this could help provide means to live for my pets and I (finances) because due to certain conditions I am unable to work a normal job. I would care for your pets with kindness, love and patience. If you have any questions or concerns I would love to discuss them and I’m sure we could figure something out!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This was my first Rover experience and I couldn’t be happier using Kristen! She gave thorough updates each visit and provided many pictures. She was more than accommodating with the weird schedule we had. I highly recommend Kristen and she even gave extra love to the additional indoor and outdoor animals (she was only responsible for one dog!). I am so glad to know we have someone to check on Rosie and the other animals during future travels. Thank you Kristen!!! 🫶🏽

I appreciate Hannah so much for taking care of my baby! This was the first time leaving him and I was glad he had someone looking out for him. During my time away hurricane Ian hit but Hannah was always communicating with me and letting me know how it was going. Even though she stayed an extra 30 minutes before the storm got bad she still came back after 11pm to make sure he was set for the night. She had no problem with my 70lbs German shepherd/lab mix and taking him for walks. He seemed to like her as soon as they had a chance to meet!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover based on a 10-acre homestead in Pageland, SC. I specialize in structured, safe boarding with supervised outdoor time and secure indoor accommodations. We have a brand-new 6-foot wooden privacy fence enclosing our backyard, providing a secure area for dogs to exercise, stretch, and explore during supervised potty breaks and play sessions. Guests stay in our large climate-controlled sunroom outfitted with seven kennels, giving each dog their own secure space to rest comfortably between outdoor time, meals, and enrichment. Crate rotation and routine breaks are built into our daily schedule, ensuring dogs have consistency and predictability. Crate & House Access Policy • Crating is standard when we are away or sleeping, and during rest periods. • Potty breaks are offered approximately every 2 hours during waking hours. • For older, calm, fully house-trained, non-destructive, and cat-friendly dogs, free-roam house access may be considered on a case-by-case basis with owner request and compatibility assessment. • Dogs with separation anxiety, destructive tendencies, or unsafe habits (counter-surfing, door-bolting, etc.) will remain on our structured crate schedule for their safety. Experience & Approach I’ve owned and cared for everything from hedgehogs and geckos to chickens, horses, and working-breed dogs. I’m comfortable with: • Medication administration (oral or topical) • Senior dogs • Puppies & house-training stages • Reactive or shy personalities • High-energy dogs who require clear routines • Multi-dog coexistence and safe rotations My husband runs his own business and is home most of the time, ensuring someone is almost always present for supervision, potty break intervals, and routine care. I am home evenings and weekends, and we work together to provide structure, security, and consistent monitoring. What You Can Expect • Individual crate spaces (no shared kennels) • 6-ft fully fenced private yard • Consistent potty break schedule (≈ every 2 hours) • Supervised outdoor time only • Optional house freedom only if fully compatible • Daily updates, photos, and communication We focus on safe, predictable, and tailored care based on each dog’s needs and the comfort level of their owner. Whether a pup thrives with structured crate rest or enjoys calm, supervised sunroom naps, we tailor stays responsibly rather than one-size-fits-all. I work full-time as an insurance producer in Monroe, NC from 8–5, Monday through Friday. I’m home all day on weekends, and during the week, my husband is at our homestead full-time and helps provide care and supervision. Since we work as a team, your pets will never be left alone for long periods. I’m also available for morning or evening drop-ins and walks depending on location and schedule! We live on a peaceful 10-acre homestead. We do not allow free play with other pets - so you know that your furry friend is safe and sound the entire stay! They will have supervised playtime with other pups from the same household, or with just our staff! Our top priority is a safe stay.

About: Hi! I'm Kallie, and caring for animals has been one of the greatest joys of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home full of dogs, and for the past 15 years I've been caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. From tiny fish to giant English Mastiffs, I've loved every opportunity to care for someone's beloved companion. No pet is too big, too small, or too unique! If you ask my family, they'll tell you my sister's Golden Retriever is the joy of my life. I FaceTime him almost every day (sometimes multiple times a day!) so he can see his auntie. That's probably the best way to describe how much I love animals, they're truly family to me. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet behind, whether it's for a weekend or a longer trip. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind by caring for your furry family member with the same love, patience, attention, and affection I would give my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless games of fetch, belly rubs on the couch, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I work from home with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be available when you and your pet need me most. Whether you're looking for a quick walk to help your pup burn off some energy, a drop-in visit, or overnight care while you're away, I'm happy to help. No matter the length of the visit, you can have peace of mind knowing your pet will be cared for with patience, love, and lots of attention. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home until you're back together. I will make sure to care for your pet inside your home with the utmost respect and care and treat your space well. Whatever rules and boundaries you have with your pet will be the same rules and boundaries that I will set when I am in their care.

About: I love animals and I know people say that but I truly do. I have been working with animals since I could walk and I’ve never not had a pet whether it was a dog cat or hamster I’ve even had snakes. I now have a new dog and a cat and I would love to help others with there animals when needed because I understand completely that it is needed a lot. I currently work in landscaping so my hours are 6 in the morning and we’re usually off by 5 maybe 6 and occasionally I get off earlier or have daysoff. I am also free on weekends I have church on Sundays but that only takes about an hour of the day. I have 2 pets in my own home now so it’s a lot easier to do house sitting instead of in home care and my boyfriend watches my animals while I’m away. I am free to spend the night at anytime and even just sit with the animals for hours on end and the animals will always come first before any other plans.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Marshville stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Marshville. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
