“Haiqing (Heidi) was absolutely marvellous. She looked after Shadow so well, always on time and she sent us photos and updates regularly. I would hire her again and definitely recommend her. She is so trustworthy and credible as well.”

“Would be lost without Amanda! I have a nervous young dog who doesn’t like strangers coming to the house, so wasn’t sure how I’d manage when I had to go back into the office. Was so lucky to find Amanda as she was so patient and went so slowly to build up a relationship with her, and now my dog looks forward to her visits each week! Thank you Amanda :)”

“I can’t recommend Safiyyah highly enough!! She took great care of my cat, sent updates and pictures everyday, brought in the mail and any packages and was extremely punctual with her visits. Have booked her again for our next trip :)”

About: Hi! I have been taking care of dogs since I was little. Having first had a Scottish terrier growing up, I was able look after him at every stage of his life with increasing responsibility ensuring he was walked, clean, socialised and loved so that he enjoyed his life to the fullest. I’ve since re-homed two mixed terrier breeds with my family - Jackson and Yoda - so have experience working with anxious, reserved dogs since they needed significant help and patient reassurance adjusting to a completely new environment. I am accustomed to washing, exercising and feeding dogs as well as administering some medications and finding new ways to enrich their time. I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new dogs! I am currently a maths undergraduate at the University of Bath so have plenty of flexibility outside of the academic terms as well as during quieter periods to entertain and look after any dogs - whether they are perfect angels or more on the furry gremlin side of pets! I enjoy long walks myself so am happy to exercise your dog outside for as much time as they need. I am also available for drop in visits to check on and play with your dog most mornings and afternoons subject to occasional other commitments. I live near multiple parks, a golf course and some woodland areas – plenty of places for your dog to explore! I can easily adjust any walks to the capabilities of your dog.

“Lara was a fantastic dog sitter for our dog Otis! She was incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear Otis was in great hands, and we wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was born. We always had family dogs, so i’m confident and used to handling them. Skills like dog walking, feeding and bathing are no issues. Dogs have always been my world, so rest assured your pet would be loved and cared for whilst you are away <3. I’ve dealt with dogs of all ages from puppies to senior, so have experience in supporting to your pet’s needs. My family are also big dog lovers and have even more experience so your pooch will be in the safest hands. Since moving home from uni, I work part time. They aren’t long hours meaning I have plenty of free time to care for pets. I mainly work weekends, so weekdays are more open for me. Each week changes so have to be a week by week plan. However, would always say otherwise if schedules clash My family home has been used to large dogs for years, so plenty of space with a fenced garden and room for them to rest or run around. I have a utility room if they need a smaller space to chill but also plenty of space for larger dogs. I live a minute walk from a park so lots of running around space and freedom for your pooch. Happy to deal with any food requirements or certain needs. I also have a driving licence and a car available for all sizes. My mum Helen is also there to lend a hand if necessary (Photo 6). She’s had dogs her whole life, has lots of experience and loves all pets, so your dog will be in the best hands!

About: I adore all pets and I have the freedom and flexibility to be able to care for your dogs from home. With plenty of long walks closely available your dog will get plenty of exercise. I am available 7 days a week. I work full time from home looking after animals so any pets will get 100% attention. Long early morning and afternoon walks will give your dog plenty of exercise. I love to play ball games at home, in the garden or on walks. Giving your dog times of stimulation and rest are important but happy to follow the same routine as the owners.

About: Hi, I’m Tom, a 27 year old with a real love for dogs. I moved away from my family home (and dog) from the south coast and I’ve been missing the dog interaction ever since. I’ve had dogs since the age of 5, so I see myself as experienced in caring for and interacting with these amazing animals. I’d love to be able to spend more time giving my love to dogs while helping people out along the way. I work full-time, Monday-Friday, 9-5. However, some of that time is spent working from home and this is often flexible which means I’m able to free up some time over lunch, after work or before work. Ideally I’d like to walk a dog on a regular schedule, but also don’t mind the one off if needed! They tend to get spoiled a bit and take authority over other people in the house… But when it comes to other dogs, I always make sure I abide by the owners’ rules and wishes.

About: I grew up with dogs as part of the family, so now that I live away from home and can’t have one of my own, I really miss having them around. That’s why I love helping care for other people’s pups. Based in St Albans, I fit in dog walks, house sitting and check-ins around my full-time job. It gives me my much-needed dog fix and a bit of extra coffee money, all while doing something I genuinely enjoy. Currently, I am available every day of the week apart from Tuesday and Thursdays. My calendar will always be up-to-date as I would also have occasional weekend days available. Although in a flat, I have a communal garden where a dog would be happy to run. I am also next to a lovely park where many dogs go to be walked. Long walks are available.

About: I work from home and would love to spend some time taking care of furry friends as they are the best companions in the world I work from home, so I have plenty of time. I also like long walks and I think dogs are the best companion for that I think it’s important to ask the owner how they usually treat their pets ana follow their instructions. To me, it’s really important to give the pet the space they need.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was like 10 years old. My previous dog died of old age when he was 15 and 7 years later I decided to adopt another one, he’s name is Rocky and he’s been with us for more than 3 years. He gets along with all dogs and because of that we are looking to help other dog owners in our area. I’m free most of the weekends but if you contact me in advance I’d be happy to organise my calendar according to what you need. I live with my partner and he’s also happy to help We have a small patio at the back of our ground floor flat which we’re the only ones with access to it. We have no carpets in the flat, so nothing to worry about when they come back from muddy walks :)

“It was wonderful to know that Charlotte came in to let Pip out and to feed him. With the App showing when she came in and a few pictures, it was peace of mind . Pip enjoyed the attention I am sure!”

About: I've been caring for dogs since we got out first family dog when I was 8, and I've loved every moment! Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to walk, feed, and look after their dogs, a responsibility I take with enthusiasm and care. I currently work full time, mainly from home. I like to live an active life so would happily include dog walking in my weekly schedule! I live in a flat with only a balcony so I would be able to care for your pet in your home, in the morning, lunch time, and evenings, or on weekends. About: Myself and my fiancé, Elliot, have grown up with pets all our lives and miss having dogs around so much! We live in St Albans with both Clarence Park and Verulamium Park in super easy reach and we feel at a loss going for walks without a pooch in tow. We’re super active and love to be outside (no matter the weather). We’re a relatively low key, responsible and chilled couple. Both of us have experience looking after our family dogs as puppies, right through to old age. We also appreciate how much of a family member they are and that it’s scary leaving your dog with someone else who you hardly know - we’d of course be open to meeting anyone and their dog before needing to commit to us taking care of them - trust is so important! We promise to care for and love your pooch just as you would :) I work two days a week from home, starting at 9am so can do pick up anytime before. I’m an early riser so morning walks before 9am are no problem. I have an hour for lunch break where I love to get out of the house, and from 5.30pm free as a bird! Boarding over the weekend is no problem and for all day care I’d be taking your pooch of 2-3 walks a day if that suits the dog. Of course if elderly and needs shorter/less walks that’s not a problem! Our garden is completely fenced of with no means of escape! Our home is around 1,000 sq ft mid-terrace. We have no problem with dogs going upstairs but of course if this is against what they do at home, we will enforce any rules you have for them so we don’t undo any training!

About: I have grown up with dogs (of all sizes!) from birth and have taken care of neighbours, family members and friends’ dogs since a teenager. I’ve also looked after dogs on BorrowMyDoggy when I lived in London. I’m a confident carers of all dog breeds and sizes! I work from home part of the week so have plenty of time to play with and walk dogs/ puppies. I’m available for boarding from Friday through to Monday - I spend most my weekends walking into town, in the garden, or going to parks so your dog will be well stretched and looked after. I have a fenced garden, a bigger shared garden behind my fence, and Clarence Park is on my doorstep. I have a good sized front living room, long hallway and doors that open out into the garden from the end room so your dog will have lots of space to roam around as they please.

Arianwen M.
“Arianwen’s family have owned dogs since before she was born, so she has grown up accustomed to their behaviours – in the first instance, that of a lovely but strong-willed terrier. More recently, her family have owned two rescue dogs, with some of the anxieties and trauma-informed behaviours that rehoming mature animals can bring. Since she was old enough, she has been involved in all aspects of feeding, grooming, walking and loving dogs, deploying understanding with compassion yet firm boundaries. I would not hesitate to let her look after my dogs and am more than happy to recommend her to others.”

Lara J.

“Lara was a fantastic dog sitter for our dog Otis! She was incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear Otis was in great hands, and we wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with her again. Highly recommend!”

Kirsty W.

“Thank you so much Kirsty. We had pictures, videos and great communication with Kirsty and felt very lucky to have her look after Sassy. Can’t thank you enough :) Dave and Jen”

Claire G.
“Claire looked after our Lurcher Dash recently whilst we were on honeymoon for nearly 3 weeks. We were happy and confident that he was being well cared for having done few walks beforehand and a trial sleepover. Genuine caring dog loving family, highly recommend.”

Emma R.Star Sitter

“Our cockerpoo Annie was instantly enamoured with Emma. She had a lovely way with her and clearly enjoyed looking after her. I would highly recommend Emma.”

Jemma M.
“I highly recommend Jem as a pet caregiver! She is incredibly responsible, caring, and attentive to animals' needs. Whether it's feeding, walking, or simply giving pets the love and attention they deserve, she goes above and beyond. You can tell right away how much Jem genuinely loves animals, and pets instantly feel comfortable and happy around them. Anyone would be lucky to have Jem care for their furry family members!”

elif hande b.
“Elif was my neighbour in Turkey. She used to walk mybaby Bulut, poodle. Sometime she took Bulut to park, run together, play fetch. Once when we had to go away for weekend and she took care of him.”

Georgina S.

“Georgie was absolutely fab! Very communicative and gave us updates when popping in to see the cat. Came home to a very happy cat. Thank you Georgie!”

Nelly F.
“Nelly Marie is my niece, she is very professional and very affectionate person. She loves animals, and she grew up in a family environment where pets were part of the family. Nelly loves dogs and she has patience and respect for then, that makes them feel protected and guarded at all times. She also has a detail oriented personality where paying attention to details is a way of life. She has an inclination and patience for animals being vigilant and at the same time lets them show their personality in a relax environment. As a caregiver, I have no doubts of Nelly's responsibility, patient, vigilant, and professional style at all times.”

Charlotte W.

“It was wonderful to know that Charlotte came in to let Pip out and to feed him. With the App showing when she came in and a few pictures, it was peace of mind . Pip enjoyed the attention I am sure!”

Joseph H.
“Joe is great with our nervous rescue dog, Olive. He's calm and patient and before long she was happily getting scratches and asking to play. He's an experienced dog walker and had no problem taking her out - sometimes even for a run with him, which she loves. Now we can relax knowing she's in safe hands if we need to leave her with a dog sitter. Thanks Joe!”

Holly H.
“Holly was a breath of fresh air and hit it off with my Beagle Rover instantly! I felt very comfortable with Holly having Rover and was very flexible with my schedule. Here’s to many more park walks!”

Megan R.
“Megan has looked after my Chocolate Labrador for me several times - both for walks and a few home stays, and she is incredibly trustworthy and reliable! I knew Megan could handle a slightly larger dog as she grew up with Golden Retrievers and I could tell she was a passionate dog-lover from our meet up, which made me feel comfortable and at ease. Meg is right by a great park and has a garden which was a big bonus for me as I knew Cocoa would prefer a home where he could get lots of toilet breaks. I always get the best updates from Meg with pics of what they're getting up to!”
