About: My partner grew up with border terriers and, after very little convincing, we have been the loving owners of our own border for the last four years. We first considered dog boarding when we struggled to find care for our own dog, having never been in kennels and being used to a very loving and cosy environment, we knew it was essential to find him somewhere he could feel like he was part of the family. To be honest I'm not sure who was more nervous, me or him! We realised we couldn't be the first people to face this issue and, after speaking to close family (who it turns out were in exactly the same boat) we decided to open our home and start offering boarding for our favourite four legged friends. Our own dog is very social, he has a calm temperament and enjoys tennis balls, getting muddy and curling up on the sofa in the evening. We live in a house with a secure garden and easy access to lots of green space and streams for walks. Our own dog has quite strict dietary requirements so we are comfortable working with any needs your own dogs may have. We understand it can be a horrible feeling leaving your dog, whether it's the first time or the hundredth. We aim to reassure you that we will treat your pet with the same love, care and attention we would want for our own. We will be responsive to your unique requirements and rest assured you will receive many pupdates along the way! One of us works from home, meaning we can be flexible with pick up/drop off times. Whilst we usually only provide weekends, during the school holidays we have midweek availability. We have a house with a very secure garden. We use nearby fields for most of our walks and would follow your own instructions as per how often etc your dogs need exercising and what they like. There will be someone with your dog at all times whilst in our care. We offer a pre-meeting to ensure our own dog will be comfortable with yours (and vice versa) and are very happy to send updates and images of your dog's stay with us.

“Emma & Poppy were fab with Humphrey… he had a fab day playing /walking. Been looking for a while for a home from home for him and with Emma’s passion and desire to work with dogs as a career she was perfect. Have got him booked in already for a few more dates.”

“George and Sophie! My dogs are both in love with them and cream crackered, which are both huge fur 2 high energy, difficult dogs, with both separation anxiety and reactivity! Thank you G&S xx”

“Ashleigh came through for us when our original plans fell through last minute. One very happy dog and a huge thank you to Ashleigh for her patience and understanding both of our circumstances and our unusually energetic senior dog.”

I take Rolo on a daily walk, so would be able to take your pups along with us ☺️ My partner, James, works shift patterns so has stints of up to 2 weeks off. This means at times we will both be able to look after your dogs (meaning extra cuddles and fuss!) I have a fenced garden where your pups are free to run around and play. We are also not far from a few parks and lovely walks! Our home is fully open plan downstairs so lots of room for play. We have two dog beds which can of course be used, as well as your pups being allowed on our sofa. We have a little set of steps for Rolo, which may be useful if you also have a small dog. Rolo’s toy basket is available for your dogs to rummage through and pick which toys they’d like to play with too!

“Humphrey got on brilliantly with Juno and they treated him as one of the family. Already have him booked in again … there is no better referral i can give. Thank you for taking care of him”

About: I am a huge animal lover and treat every animal as my family. I am available weekends for walks, drops ins, day care and pet sitting. I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was very young. For my entire life my family has always had animals around. We fostered Spanish and Portuguese rescue dogs for around 7 years, over that time we cared for about 82 dogs overall! Over this time we also had 2 cats and a house rabbit. I now live with my partner and our 5 cats. (Occasionally fostering rescue kittens too). I have lots of experience with tiny puppies and kittens to old timers of all personalities/temperaments. I can do basic grooming and lead training. I can also take care of small animals. Over the years I have taken care of rats, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs, parrots and budgies! Your pets will be in excellent hands! I am available any day of the week for walks, drop ins, daycare and pet sitting. Just drop me a message and we can go from there. I can provide all the care and love your pet needs in your own home. I am happy to give medication, bath/groom, feed, walk and entertain! Whatever you require, I am happy to assist. I will be taking a pet first aid (+CPR) course soon.

About: I have a love for all dogs, no matter their age or size. Providing a friendly face to dogs where they can trust and have fun with! I have had a dog for most of my life but recently he passed so any kind of love from dogs in my spare time would be great. (A sausage dog lover at heart!!) I have a lot of free time as I have uni a few times a week, so I would love a four legged friend to keep me company on my less busy days. I have a fenced garden and a gate on the front porch. I live with 3 boys in my house so I would hope that any dog would be happy in a busy, exciting environment. My house mates have had many dogs come and stay over the past few years and I thought I would join the fun to meet some dogs.

“Alexandra had both our somewhat lively springerpoo's for over a week, the house and setting is perfect and Max their border terrier is a chilled out delight who was brilliant with our two somewhat boisterous boys. When we picked them up they were happy to see us but secretly I think they wanted another week. Thank you so much for all that you did with them and we will see you the next time we go away....bit of a drive for us but so worth it to see them so happy and well cared for! The updates and photos were really appreciated and meant we could truly relax and enjoy our first holiday without them.”

“I cannot recommend Mumtaz highly enough! It is clear she has a genuine love for dogs and a wealth of experience in caring for them. Our Labrador Jasper immediately took to Mumtaz which put our minds at ease. Throughout our time away, she provided exceptional care, keeping us updated with regular messages and photos of Jasper. It was evident that Jasper was not only well cared for but also genuinely happy and enjoying his time. Mumtaz followed his feeding and exercise routines meticulously, and we returned to find Jasper in excellent spirits. Mumtaz is retired so is able to spend her time providing loving and nurturing care to your lovely dog. Laura W.
“Laura loves animals and has been around cats dogs all of her life. For 6 of those years, she lived with helped look after in excess of 80 foster dogs from Spain. So Laura has probably experienced every type of dog possible, from the very friendly and easy going to the absolutely terrified and nervous dogs. Some of the foster dogs could be very challenging but it was very rewarding for Laura to take a big part in turning them dogs around and finding them loving homes.”

Eva H.
“Eva looked after my very lively Springer Collie cross, Oscar. He had a troubled past and is frightened of anyone he doesn’t know, but Eva was so gentle with him and by the end of the week she was his new best mate. She has looked after him multiple times now and loves every minute of it, and so does Oscar! I’m aware that she is very fond of Daschunds and has been to a few of the Daschund cafe events dotted around the country. From the little period I’ve known her, I can tell that she just absolutely loves dogs and I will always call her first if I need Oscar to be looked after.”

Karen B.
“Having known Karen Bache, and her dogs, cats, and horses, for some 30+ years, I know her to be a competent and caring person. She will always go the "extra mile" to ensure the well-being of her charges, and I have no hesitation in recommending her services.”
