About: I have plenty of experience caring for dogs through looking after my own dog, Max, back home, who I have taken full responsibility for. I have also regularly cared for dogs belonging to friends and family, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, routines and needs. I’m an active person and really enjoy going on long walks. I previously had a Whippet, so I’m used to keeping dogs active and making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention and stimulation. Most importantly, I’m caring, patient and responsible, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I am currently a university student, but I have a flexible schedule and am free for most of the day. My university commitments are generally manageable, which means I can fit pet care around my studies. I’m able to be flexible with timings and can dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, feeding and giving pets the attention they need. I always make sure dogs feel safe, comfortable and cared for, whether they are staying in my home or I am looking after them in their own home. My previous dog was a Whippet, so I understand that they can be very affectionate and often love plenty of attention, cuddles and companionship. This has taught me the importance of being patient, attentive and understanding each dog’s individual personality and needs. I would make sure pets have a calm and secure environment, with regular walks, playtime, feeding and plenty of attention. I also understand the importance of following the owner’s routine and instructions, as keeping pets comfortable in their normal routine helps them settle in. I’m responsible and always keep a close eye on dogs during walks and outings, while giving them lots of love and reassurance.

I have my own lovely dog, Lenny, who is incredibly friendly and gets on brilliantly with other dogs, so your pup will have a built-in best friend during their stay. We have a beautiful, secure garden with plenty of space to play and enjoy some fresh air, and we’re also right next to the Common, so we have gorgeous open spaces and fantastic walking routes literally on our doorstep. It’s perfect for dogs who love a good walk and a chance to explore! Dogs are very much treated as part of the family here. I’m attentive, caring and will make sure your dog gets plenty of fuss, company and attention throughout their stay. I’ll also stick to their usual routine as much as possible, including feeding, walks and any little quirks or requirements they have. I know leaving your dog with someone else can feel daunting, so I’m happy to keep you updated with photos and messages so you can see how they’re getting on and have complete peace of mind while you’re away. Lenny is very sociable and loves having other dogs around, so we’re ideally suited to dogs who enjoy company and would benefit from a relaxed, loving home-from-home environment. About: I've grown up with dogs and have been around them my whole life. I've looked after friends, family and colleagues' dogs and have also fostered for a local rescue. My experience spans a variety of breeds and ages, from very young puppies to seniors, and dogs from unknown backgrounds/rescues. I'm reliable and sensible, meaning you can trust that your beloved pets will be safe and well looked after during your time away. I work full-time Monday to Friday and I'm able to work from home most of the week. If I'm needed in the office on any days where I have visiting pets, I can arrange drop ins/sitters to come and spend time with them while I'm out. I'm very active and enjoy lots of walks, so you can be reassured that your pets will have regular exercise during their stay. I have a fully secured, fenced garden so your pets will be able to go out for regular toilet breaks, along with at least 2 walks per day (more as required). I offer a home-from-home setting, allowing for a comfortable stay where your dogs can settle at their own pace and have plenty of cuddles while you're away. Depending on the chosen service, I can also offer sitting at your own home if your pets prefer to stay in their usual environment.

We met before the visit so Gus could see where he was staying, meet Julie and make sure he was comfortable with her. Unfortunately shortly after Gus went to stay he became ill due to circumstances out of everyone’s control and Julie was amazing at keeping us up to date throughout everything and took him to the vets when needed on multiple occasions. I honestly cannot recommend Julie enough. She is such a friendly and caring person and i would definitely use her again to look after Gus.”

Christy really helped me out by having my cocker spaniel for the day whilst I was visiting Lincoln for house viewings, she even had her longer than planned so I could attend a last minute viewing which was massively appreciated! Natalie is very sweet and lily loves going round. As a high energy jack Russell she never stops however whenever I pick her up she is knackered for a full 24 hours after - I’m not sure if it’s magic but Natalie clearly knows what she’s doing. She is very good with communication and pictures. I have used her many times and will continue to do so. She’s the best sitter I’ve used on rover
Archie had a lovely time with Jessica and Jonah and their dog Hula. It was a last minute booking but that wasn’t a problem. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
