Maggie and John are absolutely fantastic caring and easy to communicate with. We had no worries about our Dobby staying with them at all as we knew he would be taken good care of. We got regular updates how is Dobby doing with pictures of Dobby and he looked very happy. 💖🤗

About: My journey has been shaped by a deep devotion to animal care and a determination to give every pet the very best. From my early days as a dog groomer to building a thriving pet hotel in Norfolk, each step has strengthened my understanding of dogs and their individual needs. Breeding Cockerpoos and white Miniature Schnauzers gave me a unique insight into the joy and companionship they bring, while building lasting relationships with their owners. Time spent in an emergency veterinary clinic further deepened my empathy and reinforced my belief that every animal deserves respect, comfort, and kindness throughout their life. Now, from my welcoming home in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, I provide calm, one-to-one dog grooming and am proud to hold a 4* Home Boarding License, offering a safe, loving environment where dogs can relax, feel secure, and truly feel at home. I work part-time from home as a professional dog groomer, offering a calm, one-to-one service, two days a week and never grooming more than three dogs per day. This allows me plenty of time dedicated to every guest, I’m able to provide attentive, loving care so each dog’s stay is happy, comfortable, and truly enjoyable. Your dog will enjoy a cozy, dedicated guest room complete with a sofa, comfy beds, TV, and plenty of toys to help them feel at home. Each day includes two lead walks across the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, tailored to suit your dog’s individual needs and energy levels. I carefully maintain each dog’s usual routine to keep them settled and stress-free, while providing plenty of love, attention, and, of course, lots of cuddles.

We had such a tough time finding a good dog carer but when I found Brian and Erika I knew they were the right carers for us and our Quinn. We had a meet and greet which put our minds at ease and Quinn loved them right away running around the garden playing with their dogs. Whilst away we received daily updates or ‘pupdates’ as we started to call them which had lots of photos and details of their days adventure. After a couple of days our dog was apart of the pack and having a great time. they cared for other dogs whilst Quinn was there so she got to meet and play with lots of dogs which was great as she’s very sociable and has endless energy. We enjoyed our holiday knowing she was safe and came home to a clean and happy dog. Can’t recommend these two higher, if I could give more than five stares I would. We will definitely be booking again soon for all our holiday adventures. Thank you so much Brian and Erika! xxx

Sarah came to my rescue during a difficult time that meant needing short notice care of my dad's dog. She was incredibly understanding that Bruno was very anxious in the circumstances he was in and went above and beyond to help him settle. She gave me regular updates to make sure I didn't worry about him. I couldn't recommend her more.

About: I have been caring for dogs for many years, beginning when I lived in Latvia until 2011. During my school holidays, I regularly looked after my grandparents’ dogs — sometimes as many as four — as well as my godmother’s little dachshund, Rikis. I also helped neighbours by walking their dogs and caring for them when needed. Currently, I have a lovely, almost six-year-old Boxer named Chester. He is absolutely adorable, very well-mannered, friendly, playful, and fully trained. Chester loves the company of other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for your furry friend. We are always happy to welcome other dogs to play with him, whether at our home or in their own environment. We have a spacious garden at the back of our house, giving the dogs plenty of space to play and relax. We also enjoy regular walks around the village and through nearby fields. Chester is excellent off the lead, but we are equally happy to care for dogs that need to stay on the lead at all times. Dogs truly bring me happiness, and I love giving them attention, affection, playtime, and loving care. I would be delighted to look after your beloved furry family member and ensure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while in my care. I am always at home because I work remotely. I can play with them whenever they need my attention. I enjoy regular breaks with my boxer, so I will schedule consistent times to spend with your doggo :). I have a fenced garden with plenty of space, and my Chester loves dogs and will keep good company with your dog, I will always be around.

This is the third time my dog has stayed with Caroline and we wouldn’t go anywhere else now for dog boarding. Caroline (along with her husband and daughter) are the perfect hosts - so caring and attentive to my blind dog. Of course she’s a princess in my eyes, but I know that Caroline and her family care for my girl in the same loving way. I have complete peace of mind that my girl is in safe, loving hands whilst I’m away.

Extremely happy with booking and would highly recommend Aneta. Aneta looked after my cockapoo for an overnight stay. He's normally a very nervous and clingy dog but from the get go Aneta was extremely professional and planned Berties stay in advance to ensure that he was made as comfortable and happy as possible. She took him on plenty of walks and showed him extensive attention and affection throughout his stay. Making sure he felt at home. I loved getting regular updates and photos showing how he was getting on. Bertie left happy and stress free. What more could you ask for? Very happy, thank you!

I had a fantastic experience with Angeliki looking after my dog, Darcy . She's a lively bouncy little dog with a great personality and loves lots of attention. Angeliki was brilliant with her from the start, it was clear Darcy received plenty of attention, care and playtime, which suits her perfectly, I also really appreciate the updates, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away . When Darcy was collected , she was happy , relaxed and clearly had a wonderful time, it's such a relief knowing she'd been so well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and would highly recommended Angeliki to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog boarder.

Jo and Helen were first class with Bailey. We were worried about leaving him as he hadn’t been very well and needed medication but we had no reason to. Jo and Helen took good care of him and giving him his meds didn’t phase them at all. We had full confidence in them and will definitely be using them again. Thank you!

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
