We met before the visit so Gus could see where he was staying, meet Julie and make sure he was comfortable with her. Unfortunately shortly after Gus went to stay he became ill due to circumstances out of everyone’s control and Julie was amazing at keeping us up to date throughout everything and took him to the vets when needed on multiple occasions. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
