“Thank you once again for looking after Harvey like he was your own ❤️ I really appreciate the re-assuring pupdates, it means that I can actually relax and enjoy my holiday without stressing about my special boy. I feel confident that he is safe and happy and totally at home with you and your family. I'm not actually sure he wanted to come back home with me on pick up morning!!”

“This being my first time leaving my dogs, i can honestly say i've never been more happier. Both dogs were more than happy with Bradley which was great to see from my more nervous people cocker spaniel and my puppy was clearly enjoying herself and having fun playing with Lincoln. Whilst ollie the older cocker spaniel enjoyed quuer cuddles. Bradley sent us plenty of pictures of them which was really reassuring and responded quickly to any questions we had. Will certainly use Bradley again as its always nice when you find a home from home that your dogs are settled and comfortable with. Would also recommend to friends.”

“Would highly recommend Laura. She clearly absolutely loves dogs and was lovely with our very energetic pup! Laura took Zelda on some wonderful walks in the fields, and sent us some very cute photos to keep us updated. We felt like Zelda was in really safe hands and was clearly very happy while we had a night away. Thank you, Laura!”

“Sarah came to my rescue during a difficult time that meant needing short notice care of my dad's dog. She was incredibly understanding that Bruno was very anxious in the circumstances he was in and went above and beyond to help him settle. She gave me regular updates to make sure I didn't worry about him. I couldn't recommend her more.”

“Maggie was great with Ben and he has come home happy and content. She was really flexible and accommodating when our plans changed and would highly recommend her. Thanks Maggie!”

“Brooke has been absolutely amazing looking after our dachshund! She sent us loads of cute updates and pictures and it looked like our dog had a fantastic time with her and her two dogs. We will definitely drop off our dog again with her in the future!”

“Emma and her family are the loveliest people who genuinely care about pets. They treated my dog and others like they were their own. Which is so lovely to see in the many updates and pictures sent back to me whilst on her 2 night stay. I felt at ease whilst away knowing my dog was having a lovely time and being treated extremely well. I highly recommend Emma to anyone needing love and care for their pets and wanting guilt free time away. ❤️ thankyou Emma. X”

“I had a fantastic experience with Angeliki looking after my dog, Darcy . She's a lively bouncy little dog with a great personality and loves lots of attention. Angeliki was brilliant with her from the start, it was clear Darcy received plenty of attention, care and playtime, which suits her perfectly, I also really appreciate the updates, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away . When Darcy was collected , she was happy , relaxed and clearly had a wonderful time, it's such a relief knowing she'd been so well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and would highly recommended Angeliki to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog boarder.”

“Frankie loved his stay with Christine & Luke & Hugo! I’m sure Hugo & Frankie will be friends for life. Christine kept me happy by sending lots of videos & picture updates, I felt at ease & knew Frankie was being loved & looked after. Thank you so much for looking after my fur baby, I would highly recommend this wonderful family & home 🥰🐾”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better people to look after our dog, Layla. From the very beginning, it was clear that she was in caring, capable, and genuinely loving hands. Caroline and Andrew took the time to understand Layla’s routine, personality, and little quirks, which made a huge difference. We received regular updates, photos, and messages that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away—it was obvious Layla was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Layla wasn’t just “looked after”—she was treated like part of the family. We’re incredibly grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the couple to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and truly passionate about dogs. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Layla—we will definitely be booking again!❤️”

“We were very relieved when we found Helen and Joseph who agreed to have Stanley at very short notice. He hadn’t been left with anyone outside of the family but we were instantly put at ease after meeting them. Regular updates were reassuring and honest feedback at collection. Helen also very kindly dropped one of Stanley’s toys off at home when she found it left behind. Would definitely recommend to others and use them again.”

“After Sarah agreed to look after Henry. We went to meet her and her husband Bob. Henry took an instant liking to both. We went back for a second meet, Henry ran straight upto them and into the house and made himself at home. I had no doubts what so ever leaving him with Sarah and Bob. Sarah sent photos of Henry, he looked happy and at home. I can't recommend Sarah enough to look after your dog. He will be so well looked after. Will certainly be booking Henry in again. Thank you very much Sarah and Bob for my worry free weekend knowing Henry was with you.”

“Linnet looked after our 7 month old pup whilst we went out of town for an event for the night. Being a Viszla X Collie our pup is highly energetic and driven but Linnet provided a safe place for him to be away from his usual home. Linnet kept us updated with pictures and videos throughout the booking which was highly appreciated. ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ definitely recommend”

About: Hi, I’m Julie 🐾 I’ve been a dog lover all my life and was lucky enough to share many wonderful years with my two Labradors, Rubes and Rio. They were my world, and during the last four years of their lives I chose not to go on holiday because I simply wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. They weren’t “just dogs” they were family, and I know that’s exactly how many owners feel too. Although I’m not ready to have another dog of my own just yet, I really miss having dogs in my life. I regularly look after my son’s lively Cockapoo, and I also care for a colleague’s dog from time to time, so I still get plenty of muddy paws, wagging tails and dog cuddles. I work full time in an office role with the flexibility to work from home on some days, which allows me to spend extra time with the dogs in my care when possible. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, and I’d also consider caring for suitable dogs in my own home. I’m an active person who loves getting outdoors, whether that’s a local walk or exploring the countryside. Every dog is different, so I’m happy to adapt to their routine, energy level and personality to help them feel happy, relaxed and loved. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I’ll care for your dog as if they were my own and keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can relax knowing they’re in safe hands. I work full time in an office role with some flexibility to work from home. I offer dog walking, drop in visits, house sitting and boarding around my schedule, ensuring every pet receives plenty of exercise, attention and care I understand every pet has their own routine, I will always follow the owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, sleep and play. Whether caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll provide plenty of love, attention and exercise & update you with regular photos and messages. My aim is to make your pet feel safe, happy and relaxed while you’re away.
“This was our first time using Rover but we are extremely happy with the care our dog recieved from Neil and his daughter. Neil sent us updates throughout the day and was very kind when I had messed up the booking! Definitely recommend.”

Just collected Ziggy from his stay with Bradley. He was happy, healthy and had obviously enjoyed his stay with Bradley and Lincoln. Bradley sent me photos and videos which was very reassuring and meant I could relax. Ziggy is already looking forward to his next stay very soon. 😊 Thank you Bradley.

Bradley and pip were amazing with Callie! They truly spoiled her and treated her like one of their own, she went on lots of runs and outings. Lots of reassuring photos and videos were sent. Callie has had so much fun that she isn’t happy to be home and away from her new friends. We will definitely be using again!

Our dearest Bronte is an elderly lady and we couldn’t have found a better home away from home. Bradley was so warm and welcoming on our initial visit to meet him and put our minds at ease about leaving Bronte in his care. We received a daily update and that certainly put us at ease. Leaving your loyal and loving companion with someone is always a worry but Bronte has returned home happy and has fallen into her daily routine as if she hasn’t been away, all that is left, is to say; Thank you!

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
