“We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Bradley as our pet-sitter for our Maltipoo puppy, Theo. From the start, Bradley's genuine passion for animals was evident, and he quickly established a comforting connection with Theo. Throughout the day, Bradley went the extra mile, regularly sending us delightful photo updates that showcased Theo's joyful time under his care. The highlight was undoubtedly Theo's playdate with Bradley's own dog, Lincoln, providing our pup with a wonderful companion. Thank you, Bradley, for making Theo's day so special!”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets, ranging from energetic zoomers to gentle and vulnerable boomers. I have every intention of ensuring every pet feels and stays safe, happy and healthy whilst their family is away. Growing up in a home with dogs, cats, hamsters, tortoises, and more, I learned early on that pets are a big part of the family. I pride myself on maintaining their routine to reduce anxiety and providing frequent updates with pictures so you’re able to travel with peace of mind. As I work flexible hours from home on weekdays, I have plenty of time to structure my day around your pet’s needs. Whether they need a midday adventure, scheduled medication, or just someone to snooze next to, I have the freedom to ensure they never feel alone or neglected. When your pet stays with me, my home becomes their home. I prioritise a safe, 'pet-proofed' environment where they can relax on the sofa or play in our fenced garden at the back. Before any stay, I do a thorough walkthrough to ensure no hazards are within reach and I stick strictly to your feeding and exercise schedule to keep their digestion and energy levels consistent.
About: I've always been around dogs growing up. We've had big dogs and small dogs as well. I will take your dog out for regular walks. I've a fenced garden where they can play with my year old cockapoo. I'm a full time employee and I work from home most of the times. My wfh days are flexible hence it works well with dog sitting. We have a fenced garden and my own dog to keep them company alongside me. Your dog is allowed to be on sofa and bed unless otherwise mentioned. :)
“It was such a relief that Sarah helped us out at short notice while we were away on holiday, she had great communication and she immediately was so loving and affectionate to our dog. She kept us updated through the day so we had a completely worry free trip, and we’d highly recommend her! Thankyou Sarah”
About: We live in a home set in 10 acres of securely fenced paddocks and parkland. We have 3 horses, and a stable cat, who does keep himself to himself, but I would prefer to avoid dogs who knowingly chase cats. We have two of dogs, a Weimerarnar and a Jack Russel. They are extremely welcoming of other dogs and we have a lot of space to roam in safety. We can go for walks around our own land on or off the lead. Your dog will sleep in the same room as my own dogs but they will have their own independent space, whilst still having company. I do not accept dogs the require to sleep on the sofa or upstairs on the bed! I do not leave my dogs for more than 3 hours at any time, so I am pretty much always at home. I understand how difficult it is to go away if you are not sure your pet is going to be happy and well cared for. I offer your pet a loving environment to ensure you can relax in the knowledge that your best friend will be looked after carefully and loved like one of the family. I will only ever accept 2 dogs from the same family. I will never mix dogs from another family during any stay, so you can be assured that your dog is my priority. I do not let dogs upstairs but they do sit with us as one of the family in the evenings. I find dogs are happier if they have some of their own belongings with them like their own bed/blanket etc. I prefer female speyed dogs but will consider small male neutered dogs. I always request a meet and greet before accepting a booking to ensure we are all happy. It is also beneficial to have a trial visit and ideally an overnight stay before embarking on multiple night stays. This ensures the dog is comfortable and stress free during its stay. For the avoidance of doubt, an overnight stay is 24 hours from the time of drop off to the time of collection. Anything over an hour additional time, will be charged at my standard day rate. I am not the cheapest sitter, (but the Ritz isn't the cheapest hotel). I do however offer an amazing service in a safe environment where your pet can have freedom, fun and become part of the family.

“Sarah and her husband are a lovely couple with a lovely house and a lovely garden. The place is a very nippy drive from the centre of Lincoln and you get stunning views of the Cathedral on the way. They clearly adore animals and Sparky had a wonderful time. I wasn't expecting her to be walked because Sparky is very strong willed and rarely allows anyone else but me to walk her. However, Sarah struck up a strong rapport and did take her out. Brilliant care and very happy with all she did for her whilst I was working. An easy 5 star rating.”

“I have left Reeco with Emma twice now. Never left him with anyone before. Emma was amazing made me feel at ease she kept me updated throughout the day. Emma’s dogs was so good with Reeco it’s an amazing environment for him to stay in . When he’s there Emma is also helping with Reeco training . Will not let Reeco stay anywhere else I would highly recommend”

About: With over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes—from tiny Chihuahuas to lovable Golden Retrievers—I’ve developed a deep understanding of each dog’s unique personality and needs. My journey started when my brother brought home a puppy, and caring for him quickly became second nature. Since then, I’ve become the go-to sitter for friends, family, and local pet owners who value my reliability, frequent updates, and genuine love for dogs. What sets me apart is that I’m home full-time during the week, giving your dog plenty of attention, long walks, and companionship throughout the day. I treat every dog like family and strive to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Being home all day every day means pet care naturally fits into my routine. I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention, regular walks, and a calm, consistent environment throughout the day. Whether it’s sticking to a specific feeding schedule, providing company and playtime, or just being a reassuring presence, I’m here for it. My flexible schedule also means I can often help out at short notice—perfect for last-minute plans or unexpected changes. Your dog will never feel like they’re waiting for company—I’m here, ready, and happy to welcome them in. Safety and trust are at the heart of how I care for every pet. Whether I’m welcoming your dog into my home or looking after them in yours, I treat them with the same level of attention and care I’d give my own. In my home, I create a calm, dog-friendly space where pets can feel secure and relaxed, with plenty of love, structure, and supervised time outdoors. If I’m in your home, I respect your space and routines, making sure your pet stays comfortable in their familiar environment. I keep things clean, follow instructions carefully, and provide regular updates so you always know how your dog is doing. My goal is to make your time away stress-free—for both you and your pet.
“Zuzanna has been very caring with Baloo and ensured he has everything he needs. Baloo was very comfortable around her in her house and we also received photos and videos on how he has been doing. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have always adored dogs and I've been taking care of them since my teenage years. My mum met an elderly lady, Sue, at a local library. She needed her dog, Penny, walking, and Mum suggested I helped her. I was 16 at the time and was saving up for a laptop. I had always loved dogs, but never thought about walking them. After a nervous cycle down the country roads and an awkward introduction, I was walking through a wheat field and I realised how peaceful it was. I cherished the experience and since that day, I have been helping with neighbours' dogs, whether that's house sitting them in their own home, walking them or just popping in for 30 minutes. My friend is a dog walker, so I would go for walks with her and I learnt a lot about handling from her too. Since moving to Lincoln with my husband, I haven't had much time to do that, and I don't know my neighbours as well, but I would love to start again and get the ball rolling. I have made a couple of dog walking friends, and we now have our own lovely puppy, Tonka. Training has been tough, so if you choose me to look after your pup, I will definitely keep up with their training as I know how hard it can be! Recently I looked after a friend's dogs in my own home and Tonka loved the experience, however, Archie (my cat) did not, so I would only look after dogs who are good with cats in my own home from now on. I'm currently between jobs. I am a teaching assistant, and I work with children with SEND. The child I was working with at my previous school was in year 6, so has moved on. I am currently looking for a new job, whether that's in school, in a care home or at someone's house as a nanny, so I have plenty of time on my hands to take care of people's pets. I have a decent sized house with a fenced garden that has plenty of space for my lovely boy and your dog/s to make friends and play. My cat likes to try and join in too. I will respect the needs and wishes of your pets and always aspire to give them the love and care they deserve wherever I look after them.
“Liberty has been to Brandy’s twice now for daycare. She is kind, attentive and knowledgable and sends picture and video updates throughout the day. Liberty was nervous to go to daycare at first but on the second day she was excited and had her tail wagging when we arrived. I would definitely recommend Brandy’s services.”

About: I’ve had lots of experience looking after my own dogs and cared for dogs for friends and family. I currently have a lively 3 year old Springer Cocker Spaniel cross called Hector who I’ve raised from being a puppy. I’ve previously cared for dogs with special health needs, and will work around any requirements you’ve got for your four legged friends. I also used to have 3 horses who required a lot of care and attention, and used to work on a yard at weekends looking after people’s horses. I know how important it is to stick to each animals needs and schedule. I work from home so I’m always around for toilet breaks and lunchtime walks. My availability is usually Monday-Friday but weekends are possible if given notice. I have one dog and no other pets at home. Hector is a lovely boy and loves to go on walks with other dogs, and we go out walking together every day. I live in a quiet area with an enclosed garden and we will make your dog feel right at home!
“Absolutely wonderful. My boy was so happy there that the second day he didn't even worry that I was leaving. I felt completely confident and he felt completely relaxed. Knowledgeable, friendly, and two pairs of absolutely safe hands - can't recommend highly enough.”

“Wonderfully looked after our dachshund Wolfie came back Happy and relaxed. Sophie and Charlotte were kind and knowledgeable nothing too much trouble. They are excellent dog sitters and we couldn't have asked for better. Thank you”

About: I’ve had dogs almost constantly since I was 7, of all sizes and temperaments, with a particularly fondness for greyhounds/lurchers. Have looked after friends’ dogs over the last few years too. Currently in between jobs, when I do work it will be part time. Husband currently works from home so almost always someone in the house. Like to travel and be active at weekends so weekdays work better currently. We have a small secure fenced garden with a large park and other field areas nearby for plenty of sniffs and longer walks. Teenage daughter at home who has always been around dogs. Currently have our own beagle who is fairly chilled; happy to not leave any visiting dogs on their own with her if preferred. We do live in a 3 storey house with the living room on the first floor so dogs need to be OK with stairs.
“Highly recommend! Jessica and Jonah took an amazing care of our 2 golden retrievers they had them for a full day, they were sending us lots of photos and making sure our dogs are being looked after well. We definitely will be back!”

“Natalie is lovely and we were very impressed at the care She showed Lexi. Lexi can be quite stressed with new situations but Natalie's calmness really settled her. The photos showed how She enjoyed her time with her! We would definitely recommend Natalie as a competent dog sitter”

What a lovely couple! My dog loves going here for doggy day care, he always comes back well loved and exercised! You can tell they both genuinely care and love dogs, which helps me relax knowing he is being well looked after. Great communication and photos/videos updates throughout the day with great flexibility. I 100% can’t recommend them enough!! 🙌🏼

Maggie and Toffee had a wonderful time. I booked very last minute and it couldn't have been better. They have a new bestie in Lincoln the Sausage 🥰 Super cuddles and walks and the pictures were so cute. Unfortunately I'm not local, but if I was I'd book again in a heartbeat. Bradley and Pip have a lovely home, perfect for a doggo holiday. Thank you so much Pip for loving them ❤️

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
