“Liberty has been to Brandy’s twice now for daycare. She is kind, attentive and knowledgable and sends picture and video updates throughout the day. Liberty was nervous to go to daycare at first but on the second day she was excited and had her tail wagging when we arrived. I would definitely recommend Brandy’s services.”

“Natalie is lovely and we were very impressed at the care She showed Lexi. Lexi can be quite stressed with new situations but Natalie's calmness really settled her. The photos showed how She enjoyed her time with her! We would definitely recommend Natalie as a competent dog sitter”

“It was the first time I had to leave my rescue dog Pearl with someone. She was very worried and anxious when I dropped her off but Suzannah was vary confident, calm & reassuring with both Pearl & me. When I returned to pick her up she was sitting on the sofa cuddling up to Suzannah's daughter. Perfectly happy and relaxed. I am so grateful to have found someone who I will have no hesitation leaving Pearl with again. Thank you both so much:)”

“Absolutely wonderful. My boy was so happy there that the second day he didn't even worry that I was leaving. I felt completely confident and he felt completely relaxed. Knowledgeable, friendly, and two pairs of absolutely safe hands - can't recommend highly enough.”

Emma’s dogs was so good with Reeco it’s an amazing environment for him to stay in . When he’s there Emma is also helping with Reeco training . Will not let Reeco stay anywhere else I would highly recommend”

About: I've taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember, my own 2 (Husky/Akita's) are 10 years old and I've had them since they were 10 weeks old I work from my laptop so am usually available whenever and wherever so long as WiFi is available. Both weekdays and weekends (with enough notice) I would visit the owners House before agreeing to look after anyone's cherished pets, whilst there we would talk about feeding/schedules/behaviour/anything I need to know. The aim is to provide the same that the pet is used to and treat them like family
“Highly recommend! Jessica and Jonah took an amazing care of our 2 golden retrievers they had them for a full day, they were sending us lots of photos and making sure our dogs are being looked after well. We definitely will be back!”

About: Hello! My name is Sara, I'm an Italian translator and I've been living in Lincoln for 14 years. I've had dogs my entire life (4 at the same time, at one point!). My beloved 13yo cavapoo, Mia, passed away in June 2024, leaving a gaping hole in my life that I'm now eager to fill by looking after other people's dogs. Mia was on heart medication for the last 2 years of her life, so I have extensive experience in administering tablets to dogs and taking care of any other special needs senior dogs may have (frequent toilet breaks, shorter walks, etc.). Conversely, I can also look after younger, more energetic dogs: I regularly walk Reggie, a 1-year-old black Labrador who's extremely full of energy (as you'd expect from a Labrador pup!), as well as several young cockapoos, spaniels and Cavalier King Charles. I'm a very active person who loves the outdoors - I'm a keen runner and hiker, so you can rest assured your dog will get all the exercise they need whilst in my care! I am FULLY INSURED as a dog sitter, which means you can have 100% peace of mind whenever I am walking your dog or taking care of them, either in my home or at yours. Your dog will always be the ONLY dog I look after (unless you have more than one dog living together, of course!). I believe every pooch deserves my undivided attention at all times, and that's exactly what they'll get whilst in my care. Would you like your dog to socialise more? No problem, I have friends who live nearby who are always happy to go for a walk with their lovely, well-behaved dogs, so that your pup can make new friends and get used to other pups and to being in social settings. I have recently taken sweet Rita on a long walk that culminated with Sunday lunch at the Pyewipe and she absolutely loved it! Not to mention Renzo getting all the attention at Caffè Portico during a coffee break 🥰 I live in central Lincoln and work from home. I'm self-employed and own a car, both of which give me maximum flexibility. If you need someone to stay in your house to ensure your dogs' comfort and avoid stressing them out in a new environment, I'm happy to work from your home. I can also look after them in my own house - I have a secure courtyard with a locked gate and my house is obviously dog-friendly. I'm happy for your dog to spend time on all of my soft furnishings with me, if that's what they're used to, and they will have access to every room in the house, so they can explore as they please and find the perfect spot to relax and feel comfortable in. Additionally, I'm happy to pop in for a quick visit to check on your dogs during the day and/or take them out for a long walk while you're at work. And, if it's cuddles they crave, there's plenty of those waiting for them! I absolutely love dogs and can't wait to give them all the attention they need and deserve. Do get in touch and let's get to know each other. I'd love to become someone your dog loves and looks forward to spending time with! I'm self-employed and work from home, so I'm extremely flexible in terms of schedule and location I can work from. I own a car and am happy to travel. I have a secure, enclosed courtyard with a locked, tall gate to keep your dog safe. I'd also never leave your dogs outside on their own - I always supervise them while they're outside to make sure they're safe.

“Thanks so much to Natalie and Elliot for having George for the day. They are obviously natural dog lovers. They sent updates and photos throughout the day, which was very reassuring as I could see what a lovely time George was having. He’s come home and crashed out straight away. I think he’s had a great day! 😊”

About: I have had cats for 16 years, in the house resides 1 indoor car and 2 who go in and out. I have had dogs as a child but the two littlies I have are 8 and 3. They all have very different levels of bounce and chatter. Oh and I do have a 15 year old who would adopt every pet possible if he could, so extra cuddles are available. I am currently assessing my options regarding my next career, so am available most of the time. I have numerous rooms to give space to any pet that needs it and have a garden that they can chase around too. Walking will be in line with owners expectations. So let me know what your pet needs. I have a fenced garden and have two little dogs and the 3 cats. And a gecko. I can accommodate crates if you bring them.
About: I have always adored dogs and I've been taking care of them since my teenage years. My mum met an elderly lady, Sue, at a local library. She needed her dog, Penny, walking, and Mum suggested I helped her. I was 16 at the time and was saving up for a laptop. I had always loved dogs, but never thought about walking them. After a nervous cycle down the country roads and an awkward introduction, I was walking through a wheat field and I realised how peaceful it was. I cherished the experience and since that day, I have been helping with neighbours' dogs, whether that's house sitting them in their own home, walking them or just popping in for 30 minutes. My friend is a dog walker, so I would go for walks with her and I learnt a lot about handling from her too. Since moving to Lincoln with my husband, I haven't had much time to do that, and I don't know my neighbours as well, but I would love to start again and get the ball rolling. I have made a couple of dog walking friends, and we now have our own lovely puppy, Tonka. Training has been tough, so if you choose me to look after your pup, I will definitely keep up with their training as I know how hard it can be! Recently I looked after a friend's dogs in my own home and Tonka loved the experience, however, Archie (my cat) did not, so I would only look after dogs who are good with cats in my own home from now on. I'm currently between jobs. I am a teaching assistant, and I work with children with SEND. The child I was working with at my previous school was in year 6, so has moved on. I am currently looking for a new job, whether that's in school, in a care home or at someone's house as a nanny, so I have plenty of time on my hands to take care of people's pets. I have a decent sized house with a fenced garden that has plenty of space for my lovely boy and your dog/s to make friends and play. My cat likes to try and join in too. I will respect the needs and wishes of your pets and always aspire to give them the love and care they deserve wherever I look after them.
About: Hello! I’m Tasmin, a lifelong animal lover, especially of dogs. Although I don’t have my own dog right now (hopefully soon!), I’d love to take care of yours! I’m an experienced dog boarder (our home), dog and home sitter (your home) and dog walker, regularly looking after dogs of all sizes from puppies and daschunds to german shepherds and retrievers. I am happy to take care of your dog for both short and extended stays. I also offer routine walks, home visits or one-off walks when you’re unavailable for 30 minutes or longer! I enjoy long walks, playing, and even taking naps—so I'm the perfect best friend for any dog! As a self-employed brand designer and illustrator, I’m home almost all of the day and I really love having the company of a furry friend. Home Boarding and Doggy Daycare 🏠 I live in a spacious three storey town house with my partner Toby (who is also self employed and also dog obsessed) and we love having dogs stay with us. We only board up to two dogs at a time and only if they are from the same family, other than this, your pup is the only dog in the house, so you can rest assured they are getting as much love and attention as possible while you're away. Our home is spacious and we don't mind sharing our soft furnishings with your pup (as long as that's the rule in your house too) should you prefer they stay in their own space we are also very comfortable ensuring we follow and maintain your household rules during their stay. Wherever we are in the house we always ensure the dogs are with us too so we can keep each other company and keep them safe. When your dog boards with us we provide at least two hours of walking a day split into two or three walks as well as additional toilet breaks. We have the West Common, The Lawn, The Arboretum and Mount Street Gated Dog Park on our doorstep and these are the places we head to most often. We do also have a secure balcony at the property with dog friendly artificial grass which can be used for elderly dogs or dogs that may struggle to get around or that are prone to little accidents (the balcony is also perfect for the dogs that love to sunbathe *I'm looking at the sausage dogs*) During their holiday we ensure to keep to your dogs routine so they can stay as settled as possible during your time away. 🚗 If you (and your dog) are comfortable with car rides then we love to take them further afield for a trip to the Lincolnshire Wolds, a local National Trust or a beach for the day, if that is something you feel they would enjoy. 🌲🐚 I know it’s hard to leave your pup and even harder to leave them with someone new, but I'll be sure to send you photos and videos of your pet snuggled up next to me, playing, chilling in their own space or on one of their walks so you can feel reassured that they're cosy, safe and having a holiday of their own! House Sitting When I house sit I will be spending time with your pet(s) as if they were my own, making sure to maintain their routine, offer lots of cuddles and playtime and ensure they feel calm and secure. Due the nature of self employed work I am able to work from anywhere as long as you have wifi you don't mind me using, so I would be able to stay for the duration of your time away. I am also happy to take deliveries, collect post, water your plants (inside and out) and do small jobs around the house and garden if needed! (I like to keep busy!) I will treat your home as my own, with respect and care, I ensure that I maintain your space and make sure it's inviting, clean and tidy for you to return back to. I'm very safety conscious person and I will always ensure to follow any usual security measures you would normally take when in your home. I am a photographer occasionally on the side of my design business so while your dog is with me I am sometimes a little extra and provide a mini professional photo shoot for your pup when they are relaxing or having fun, so you'll have some quality photographs to cherish forever. 📷✨ Dog Walks Need a dog walker? I'm super flexible with my availability for dog walks due to the nature of self employment and would love to collect your dog for half an hour up to an hour and a half for a walk and play to break up their day. The most common places we visit are The West Common, The Lawn, The Arboretum and Mount Street Dog Park (for the shorter walks). Please free to message me with any questions, I'd love to get to know you and your best friend. Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Lincoln
Rachel is a lovely, caring, flexible and conscientious sitter who made my boy feel so totally at home that he didn't give a monkeys about me leaving him. She was brilliant at sending photos and updates and I knew he was in good hands all day. And she's just a really nice person as well :)

Thank you so much Caroline for looking after our pup Woody at such short notice. He had the best time. From the initial contact message I knew that we would be leaving Woody in great hands. You looked after him and it was definitely a 'home from home' experience for him. I would not hesitate to recommend Caroline. Great communication, regular photos and updates. 5 star experience for us and Woody!

Thank you so so so much for accommodating my booking at such a last minute. Beanie was calm and content after returning home, and you come across overall wonderful and calm yourself so it's no wonder Beanie enjoyed staying with you. I really appreciate you for opening your home for Beanie to stay at an extremely short notice. Huge thanks!

Tillie spent time with Raquel today in her home after a very positive meet and greet. Raquel provided regular updates during her time with Tillie who does suffer from separation anxiety. She was so reassuring, caring and patient with Tillie during her stay. It is evident that Raquel has a natural talent with dogs and her compassionate and supportive approach was just what Tillie and myself needed. We will definitely be requesting Raquel's service again. Thank you Raquel🙂

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Lincoln commute.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
