“Suzy was excellent, polite and friendly from the first enquiry. My cat Alfie warmed to her straight away and within seconds they were having cuddles. The feedbacl provided after each visit was great, everything done that needed to be done as well as time for some fussing for Alfie which he loves. I will definitely be asking Suzy to visit again and im sure Alfie would love to see her again. Thank you!”

“Agata was a delight to work with. She provided excellent care of our two cats over a 3 day break. Kept us updated _ sent photos every day. I will certainly book her again now she has got to know them!”

“I can highly recommend Wendy! She fed my cat Eddie whilst we were away and kept us updated with photos which reassured us all was well and Eddie who is a shy timid cat was happy to come out from under the sofa for tickles, which is the seal of approval from him, thank you Wendy 😊”

About: Hi, I’m Sophie! Before my loyal Malinois, Four, turned me into a full-on dog person, I was a lifelong cat lover—so I truly understand both feline independence and canine companionship. I offer calm, trustworthy care shaped by years of hands-on experience with a range of pets, from affectionate lap cats to high-energy, working-breed dogs. Thanks to Four, I also have experience supporting dogs with pulling, reactivity, and basic training needs—so I know how to keep walks safe and stress-free. My partner Scott often lends a hand on walks and drop-ins—we’re both passionate about animals and committed to providing gentle, reliable care. Whether your pet needs company, exercise, or just a steady presence while you're away, I tailor my care to suit their personality and routine. Because your pet deserves a Five-Star experience! I work full time during the week, but caring for animals is a core part of my daily life. I walk my own dog, Four, every day—rain or shine—so I’m used to fitting pet care around a busy schedule. I don’t work weekends or during school holidays, which gives me extra flexibility for drop-ins and walks. My partner Scott is also an animal lover and often supports with afternoon visits when needed, but I’m always the main point of contact and responsible for bookings and care. Pet care is second nature in our household! Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. I hold a current DBS check and treat every animal with the same care and attention I give my own dog, Four. When walking dogs, I ensure they’re secure on a lead—especially those with reactivity or pulling tendencies—and always check the environment for potential hazards. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I create a calm, secure space tailored to your pet’s needs. For drop-ins, I create a calm, familiar environment for your pet by sticking to their usual routine—feeding, providing fresh water, and giving them the attention they’re used to. I take extra care to follow any specific instructions from you, and I’m always happy to send updates to keep you reassured. Whether your pet is a dog or a cat, I treat them with kindness, respect, and care, ensuring they feel comfortable and safe in their environment.
“We’ve already booked Rohit again—he’s been brilliant with Four. His communication is excellent, and he clearly understands dogs and their individual needs. Four warmed to him straight away, and it’s great to feel so confident leaving him in capable hands. Highly recommended!”

“Looked after my cat, nardo, took lots of pictures which was appreciated. Hannah is a lovely girl who I would definitely trust to look after him again, and recommend to care for any pet 🌷 x”

About: I have lifelong experience as a dog owner and previously raised two dogs of my own. I took care of all their daily needs, trained them from puppyhood, house-trained them, and provided proper medical care and medication when they were sick. I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and attention as my own pets, ensuring they feel safe and happy while away from home My schedule is structured to give pets plenty of love and care. On weekdays, I am free from 3:00 PM, which is perfect for afternoon walks, feeding, and evening relaxing together. On weekends, I have an open schedule and am available all day long. I am also very punctual and will strictly follow your pet's usual routine for feeding, medication, and bathroom breaks Safety is my top priority. I provide a clean, pet-proofed space where your dog can feel safe and relaxed. I closely follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, and routines, and I ensure constant supervision during playtime and walks.
“Had my first meeting with Angela since she will soon look after my dog for a few days while I am on holiday. She is very nice and polite and knowledgeable about dogs! Everything went smoothly and now I feel less stressed about leaving my fur baby!”

“Great communicator, very caring and just wonderful to contact for sitting my kitten. Best part of that my kitten, who's scared of most strangers had no issues playing with Amy. Will contact Amy first if I need a sitter for my cat again. Recommend to everyone else.”

About: I’m Blu! I have been studying animal care since collage and study animal behaviour and welfare at uni! Iv had many pets through my life and always love meeting new fuzzy friends. I have worked in dog kennels and groomers along with reptile shops. I’m happy to work with any breed and behaviours and try and work on some training if wanted! Unfortunately due to student housing I am not able to take in any pets but can visit and play for a while! I am currently unemployed and have nothing to do!! At home I have a pet snake and use to have a dog who I lost to diabetes but had a verity of pets over the years. Now a days I have lots of free time (which I spend doing art) so same day calls will be no problem as I’m free most days. I use to spend a lot of time exploring with my pup, seeing new wooded places but also getting him use to loud areas. We worked on recall so when I saw him sniffing something to eat or roll in he would instead focus on me. Iv worked with many animals over the years including cat and dog behaviour training. What’s important to me is learning who I’m with and what personality they have, whether they prefer a chill cuddle or an excited play I’m down for whatever makes them happy!

About: I have grown up around dogs of all breeds, shapes, and sizes, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. As a dog owner myself—to two wonderful French Bulldogs—I fully understand the love, patience, and attention to detail that pets need to feel safe and happy while their owners are away. I offer both house sitting and dog walking services, making sure your pets maintain their regular routines, feeding schedules, and exercise habits. Whether it’s energetic play, relaxed walks, or just cozy companionship at home, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Having experience with smaller breeds like Frenchies, as well as larger dogs from my upbringing, I’m comfortable handling different temperaments and care requirements. You can rest easy knowing your home and pets are in safe, loving, and reliable hands—with plenty of updates and photos along the way! I am available evenings weekends and some weekdays. I structure my day around giving pets the dedicated time and attention they need. Whether I am house sitting or dropping by for walks, pet care is my primary focus during bookings. My schedule allows for regular walking times, consistent feeding schedules, play, and plenty of quality downtime. I am always happy to adjust my routine to match your dog's specific needs, ensuring they stay on their normal daily schedule while you are away. Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. When house sitting or walking, I follow all owner instructions precisely—including meal routines, leash protocols, and house rules. I make sure spaces are kept secure, maintain clear communication throughout the stay, and send regular photo updates. Having my own two Frenchies, I am very attuned to safety, heat sensitivity, and keeping dogs comfortable and calm in their familiar environment.
“What can I say ? I’ve never left my dog axl before and he’s now 5 years old but Bik came round and meet him and I saw what a caring person she was . I can not recommend Bik enough she went above and beyond sending me updates and pictures of axl everyday she looked after him, I came home to a very happy dog , I will definitely ask Bik again whenever I go away , it was my first time using rover , first time meeting Bik and first time leaving my dog and it went so well 5/5 absolutely amazing”

“Cheryl is very professional and caring. I was kept up to date and informed what was happening with my dog and cat everyday I was away. She was very respectful in our home and I felt comfortable and trusted her completely. This was the first time we have left our family pet dog. She turned out to be very distressed at us leaving her and was quite hard to deal with. Cheryl remained calm and asked for anything she could do to try and help her settle. She was very understanding and saw the experience from our dogs point of view. You can tell she really cares about your pets wellbeing. I would definitely recommend her.”
“Abigail looked after my Rottweiler called Ronnie , she was so kind and caring towards him whenever she done her drop in visits. Always treating him as her own, definitely recommend anyone to use her😌”

About: I have grown up with pets my entire life. From cats and dogs to rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and spiders! My love for my animals is like no other. As soon as I left home I knew I needed to fill that dog sized hole in my life, I now have two crazy cockapoos, four rabbits and a hamster called Dora! My friends and family are always making bets on what pet I will be getting next! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently on maternity leave and have made the decision to leave my previous job so I can be as present as possible for my baby. This means I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, administering lots of cuddles, or simply keeping your pets company, I can easily adapt to their usual routine. I understand how important consistency is for your furry friend, so I’m happy to work around their individual needs to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while you’re away. I offer pet care in the owner’s home as well as dog walking, and I always make sure I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding, exercise, playtime, toilet breaks, and any specific care instructions such as medication or special dietary needs. I understand how important consistency is for all animals, so I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and settled in their own environment. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and stimulation depending on what they enjoy, whether that’s walks, play, or simply companionship. Being flexible and available means I can provide reliable, attentive care and regular updates, giving owners peace of mind that their pets are happy and well looked after.
“I was extremely impressed with Beth. She really bonded with my cat, and spent quality time with her. She fed her accordingly to the instructions, and ensured she was safe. Beth sent me loads of pictures and messages to give me peace of mind. I highly recommend her.”

About: I live in a house with four dogs which two of them are my own. I have two miniature dashchunds which I have owned from puppies. I have toilet trained them and trained them out of bad habits. I love them with all my heart and treat them as my children! I also help look after the other two dogs in the house, a beagle and a pug. I am on a zero hour contract so this fits in very well with my schedule whilst also doing something I love and am very passionate about. I will care for your animal in your home like I would care for my own. I will take them for walks, play with them and always provide cuddles! I can also give any medication if needed.
About: I have taken care of dogs since a young age and have lived in a house hold with multiple dogs at one time since birth. Happy to care for any dog, no matter the age, size , breed or temperament! I work full time, so will happily sit on week nights and weekends. Available for dog walks Saturdays and Sundays, hours will need to be discussed. I will be more than happy to follow a given schedule to keep with your animals routine. Happy to do anything that your pet requires.
About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals and my gentle, attentive approach to their care. I've cared for dogs, cats, hamsters and had 4 pet rats of my own. I have experience of training a puppy basic commands such as sit, stay, paw, lie down. I also trained one of my pet rats to sit on my shoulder whilst I carried out tasks round the home. This shows my passion for building trust with the animals under my care. I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs and I always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable and well cared for whilst in my care. I'm currently working part time on a rota basis so in general won't have availability the same every week. However, I am fantastic with last minute bookings and can be really flexible to suit your needs. Someone has let you down? No problem, give me a call and I'll do my best to help. I can support with dog walking, daytime (and potentially overnight) sitting, once/twice daily well-being and feed visits. I am a reliable individual with insurance and have references I can provide with people who have trusted me in their home while they are away.

Agata was absolutely brilliant with our boy Bruce. She kept us updated through our trip, with photos and what they got up to. She was keen to know all about Bruce so she can get to know him better, and make him as comfortable as possible. Definitely recommend her for your fur babies!

I was extremely impressed with Beth. She really bonded with my cat, and spent quality time with her. She fed her accordingly to the instructions, and ensured she was safe. Beth sent me loads of pictures and messages to give me peace of mind. I highly recommend her.
Annie is an absolute saint ~ I’d messaged her last minute due to a cancellation from our previously arranged sitter. She was great at communicating and went out of her way to make the process as easy as possible. She sent daily updates of my cat which was such a nice personal touch! She’s friendly and accommodating, great service and my cat Jam loved her. Would 100% recommend, we will be using her services again in the future :)

Great communicator, very caring and just wonderful to contact for sitting my kitten. Best part of that my kitten, who's scared of most strangers had no issues playing with Amy. Will contact Amy first if I need a sitter for my cat again. Recommend to everyone else.

Thank you to Rohit for looking after our cats while we went on holiday. It was a real peace of mind getting updates, photos and videos while away. Knowing about his work at the uni and his obvious love of pets was a real positive and we will definitely use Rohit again. Thank you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
