“Andreia was absolutely brilliant. She really gave me peace of mind when looking after my cat. It’s obvious that she really loves animals and that she cares how they are doing. She was on time, had very open and regular communication, always uploaded pictures, played and spent time, and let me know when any issues came up. She had absolutely everything under control and was super kind when I needed to make a last minute change. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She’s absolutely the best!”

About: Hi! I’m Eva, a 21-year-old Biomedical student currently on placement. My studies can be pretty full-on, so spending time with animals is honestly one of the best ways for me to unwind. I’ve grown up around pets and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. At home I have quite the little animal family myself two beautiful dogs, four cats, and three guinea pigs so I’m very used to different personalities, routines, and care needs. From energetic walks and playtime to quiet cuddles and feeding routines, I’m comfortable with it all. I’m a patient, responsible, and caring sitter who understands how important it is to know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away. I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and proper care. If you’re looking for someone reliable who genuinely loves animals, I’d be more than happy to help look after your furry family member! Pet care fits really well into my routine, especially towards the end of the week. I’m typically available on Friday evenings as well as during the day on Saturdays and Sundays. This means I can give pets plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and care without being rushed. As a student, I’m very organised with my time and I enjoy spending my free time around animals, so caring for pets over the weekend works perfectly for me. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled while you’re away. I always aim to care for pets in a way that keeps them comfortable, happy and as close to their normal routine as possible. In a pet owner’s home, I would make sure to follow the instructions provided carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime and any specific care needs. I understand that pets feel safest in familiar environments, so I take the time to help them feel relaxed and well looked after. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise depending on their needs and personality. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel reassured while they’re away. As someone who has multiple pets of my own including dogs, cats, and guinea pigs I’m very used to different routines, temperaments and care requirements. I always treat every pet as if they were my own and make their wellbeing my top priority.
About: I like to board animals from one household at a time, providing a luxury service that your pet/pets will appreciate and love! All dogs that had been sharing their days with us, repeat the experience and wag their tails every time they come back! We have the best reviews on Facebook too! After studying animal management and dog-feline behaviour, I worked for many years with big cats as an ecologist. Since then, I worked in different areas of animal welfare feral animals and my favourite; wildlife rehabilitation. I have many years of experience caring for various species while working in the RSPCA and as part of other NGOs around the globe. For the past few years, I have been teaching about animal welfare, animal husbandry and ecology. My expertise focuses on behaviourally challenged cats and dogs as well as caring for different species and life stages (puppy to geriatric) and specific medical conditions (administration of medication). I love meeting the owners and the animals first to break the ice and make a connection! I work from home so, I have plenty of time for socialising and playing outdoors and a lot of love, care and fuss for your babies😍. I have a huge garden where we exercise from the geriatric dogs to the most active ones. This is needed, as we do not let any dogs off the lead when we take them for long walks, for security reasons.
“Orissa looked after my two Maine Coons while I was on holiday for a few days. This was my first time using rover so I wasn’t really sure what to expect and to be honest I was quite anxious. But after my meet and greet with Orissa, that all changed as she was so lovely to me and the boys and knew exactly what to do right away. While I was away Orissa would regularly send photos and write detailed reports of her visit which were so heartwarming. It reassured me and my partner that the boys were in the best hands. She took care of the boys so well, looking after their food, litter and also our house. When I came back the house was clean and tidy just how we left it. The boys seemed happy too as they had great company and someone to play with. Sometimes they can get lonely on their own so it’s nice to know there’s someone there for them. Overall, Orissa was amazing and would recommend to anyone who needs someone to take care of their furry babies while they’re away.”

About: I used to do agility training with my older dog. I'm also used to dealing with nervous dogs, who sound aggressive. I've helped in training my dogs for commands like sit, along with teaching them to move out of way and some tricks such as paw. I'm currently studying a full time uni course, with in person lectures on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so I have a lot of availability to take care of your dogs I will communicate well with the owner and follow their guidance by asking how they take care of their pet and replicate that because every pet is different. I will walk the dog on the lead, unless I am certain it will come back to me and I am in an enclosed area.

About: At the dog shelter, I would walk, feed and groom the dogs. I would also spend time with the dogs in their kennels, whilst cleaning their kennels. I’m looking for a side hustle, since at the moment it’s quite difficult finding a part-time job. So my schedule is very flexible and free. I love spending time with any animals, especially dogs, and I enjoy playing with them and trying to teach them new tricks. I’m not easily frightened by dogs and I can understand when a dog needs space, food or a walk.
“Tsz was amazing with my two dogs. She made sure they were well looked after and they loved her. I really appreciated Tsz coming around and taking care of them. Tsz made sure to keep me updated throughout the check in with messages & pictures. I would absolutely recommend Tsz and would love to rebook in the future.”

About: After a health scare & with my boys being much older now, I completed an Animal Care course to gain additional knowledge in animal care. I had a Westie for 16 years & now have a Havachon that we have had for 10 years now. I have built up a good sized portfolio of regular dogs & cats through BARK providing walks, pop ins & stays. *Additional customer reviews can be found on BARK. I am available in the week to walk & the week/weekend to provide pop in visits & day stays at my house. I do go over to France four times per year as we have a small house out there, but this would be discussed with the pet owners. I am offering dog walking, pop ins & day visits to my house. I have a large house & a good sized garden which is fenced & gated with no way to escape. I take my own dog Lola over to another village where there is a lovely long lane where we walk. I have now built up a good sized client base & so I would plan accordingly with your dog or cat & my regular clients.

Newark cat owners share their Rover experiences
Thank you Rory for looking after Tage & Trixie so well. Lovely updates and pics during his care and when we returned the girls didn’t seem to have noticed we’d been away - always a great sign! Rory is very conscientious and goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend Rory and have him back to sit for us any time.

Ava is very friendly and Felix took to her straight away. He seemed happy and well when we got home so obviously enjoyed his time with Ava. She kept in touch and sent photos which was really nice, I never had any concerns. She also left everything clean and tidy which was lovely and appreciated. I will definitely ask for her next time we go away.
