Lisa made such a wonderful effort ahead of our booking to make sure we were comfortable with her setup and asked loads of questions equally to make sure Boo was the right fit. Lisa was incredibly reassuring, friendly and professional. It’s so nerve wracking leaving your doggo for the first time and Lisa made sure we felt informed with updates and photos. Cannot recommend her enough from a person POV and also a home set up! The garden is enclosed and a great size, and Lisa is super close to some brilliant walking routes - thanks so much for making us feel so relaxed ☺️

So happy to have found Katie and her dog Kali, lots of pictures and some videos of my dog having lovely playtime. She was totally at home with her new sitter Katie, she is so professional and organised, I always feel concerned leaving my very lively dog with a new person, Katie is very capable and knowledgeable around nervous behaviours as her own dog shares a similar temperament to mine. So I will be going to Katie as my first choice from now on. 🤩X

About: I have owned and looked after dogs for the past 25 years. I have a first class honours degree in psychology where animal behaviour was in each semester. I have a pet first aid and CPR NVQ certificate and I am fully insured. My home is very spacious and I am home all day everyday. SHDC licence - AWL00122 I work very flexibly from home. Thus, I can be there with your dog 24/7 if needed. I love walking my dog on nearby fields (I keep on a leash but have a loose 10m lead). Snuggles on the sofa in the evening and on hot summer days, the doggy pool and hose pipe come out for play time (or your pet can chill inside). I will treat your pet as my own. I have always been a god lover. We have 3 toy baskets and lots of places for quiet time if needed.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and have had five of my own over the years. This has given me natural confidence in handling different personalities – from playful puppies to older, calm dogs. What sets me apart is my calm energy and patience. I don’t rush pets – I observe their behavior and adapt to their needs. I’m especially attentive to emotional signals and make sure each pet feels seen and safe. I also understand the needs of senior dogs and can offer slow, gentle walks, comfortable resting spaces, and a peaceful rhythm. My presence is warm, quiet, and grounded – perfect for animals who need a little extra care and reassurance. Hi! I’m a calm, kind-hearted animal lover with a lifelong connection to dogs. Since childhood, I’ve cared for pets and have had five dogs of my own over the years. I currently have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and understand how much love and attention our furry friends need. I’ve recently come to stay with my mom in Spalding and I’m available for the month in June to help care for your pet. I offer dog walking, home visits, and pet boarding at my place. I’m responsible, gentle, and always aim to create a peaceful and loving atmosphere. Looking forward to meeting your pet and giving them the care they deserve! 🐾 I always aim to create a calm, loving, and clean environment for pets. Whether I’m caring for them in my own home or visiting them in theirs, I treat every animal with kindness, patience, and respect. I follow any instructions given by the pet owner carefully – including feeding routines, walk preferences, and safety measures. I make sure pets are never left unattended during walks, and I pay close attention to their emotional state and comfort. I also ensure that any interactions (especially if I care for pets at home) are safe around my young child – I supervise everything and only accept friendly, calm pets that are used to children.

I had a great experience with Carla and Jim! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care. From the start, they were incredibly friendly and approachable, which immediately put me at ease. They arranged a meet and greet beforehand, which was a really thoughtful touch and helped both me and my dog feel comfortable before the stay as it was my first time using Rover. During the time they were looking after my dog, they provided regular updates and photos, which was so reassuring and showed how well my dog was being cared for. It was clear that my dog was happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. I really appreciated the level of care and communication throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Carla and Jim again and would definitely recommend them to other dog owners looking for someone trustworthy and kind to look after their pet! Thank you!

Evie was a huge help in providing fairly last minute daycare for our puppy and were really understanding when we ran late for pick ups. I always worry about leaving our puppy with anyone as they can be hard work to look after, but Evie and her partner were great with him and we received regular updates on how he was getting on. He was happy every time he came home and we would not hesitate to contact Evie again whenever we are in need of puppy care!

Many thanks Tom and your lovely family, for taking good care of Daisy yesterday. Our labradoodle is 11 now and it’s the 1st occasion we have left her with Tom. He sent through some lovely photos of Daisy with the children, which was very reassuring and gave us the confidence to know that she had settled in and will be fine when we leave her again. Hopefully next time the weather will be less soggy for your walks !

About: Myself and my husband are experienced dog owners, and have been around dogs our whole lives. We are happy to consider any dog breed and can handle large or small dogs. We had an Alaskan Malamute weighing 48kgs in her prime, sadly we lost her in August at 14 years old, so no trouble handling big and stubborn breeds! We do have a 14 year old cockerpoo called Alfie who is very tolerant and misses his companion - therefore dogs coming to us must be okay with other dogs. He is neutered. We have a loving family home with husband and wife team and grown up children who are always happy to play with dogs walk, entertain, exercise etc (children are 16, 19, 22 and are dog lovers like us!) We have a large enclosed garden for dogs to roam around in and are a cat free home. Boarding and doggy day care welcome, we often go to the seaside too, so if you pooch likes the beach they'd be welcome to come with us if they can travel in the car okay. Happy to answer any questions, or set up a meet and greet with your furbaby. I work part time 3 days a week and my husband works from home full time, so there is always someone around to keep you dog company and give them the love and care they need. Evenings and weekends we have 3 grown up children that are dog lovers like us, and are more than happy to help keep your dog entertained (children are 22, 19, 16 so not little kids). We have a large secure fenced garden for dogs to roam around in as they please. There is always someone at home. We have a 14 year old cockerpoo who misses his companion who we lost this year. He is a gentlemen. Happy to crate if needed, though we do not have a crate at the moment so this will need to be provided.

About: I’ve struggled myself to find the right home to look after my precious boys. I offer a home from home setting where your dog(s) will receive lots of cuddles and lots of playtime. We have two male cockapoos, one of which is of senior age. We have previously had Great Danes (gorgeous breed) and have grown up round a variety of breeds. We have two children age 10 and 13 who have grown up around animals and absolutely love dogs and if your dog wants to run around with smaller humans they’re all for it. I work from home part time so I’m available for cuddles on the sofa and they can play freely with open access to the enclosed garden. We will accommodate so that everything is familiar to what they are used to for example sleeping in the kitchen, sleeping in a bedroom, being on furniture and so forth. We have a Vets locally who our dogs are registered with and plenty of green areas for dogs to have good walks. Any questions please feel free to ask. I know they are your babies and we will take great care of them. I work from home part time and I’m kept company by my two cockerpoos; one who is old and quite happily chills and the other who is seven and can always be encouraged to play. We have a secure enclosed garden where they will have access to play freely. We have lots of walks and greenery close by so they don’t have to do the same route all the time and can adapt the walks we take to your dogs needs.

I was nervous about finding care for our puppy, and worried how well she’d settle with other dogs - but I didn’t need to! She has had a great time with Lisa-Marie and it’s been brilliant for her socialisation. We’ve had updates and lovely photos of what she’s been up to during the day. When we pull up to the house our puppy is very excited to go in, so you can tell she loves it there 🙂

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - South Holland

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in South Holland on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 310 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in South Holland. About 89% of South Holland sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your South Holland commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
