“Nicola yet again looked after our Cat Jippy so very well whilst we were away for a couple of Days. We so appreciate all her help and support. We came back home again to a very happy Jippy. Thanks again Nicola.”

About: I've lived with animals my whole life - from fostering a family of feral cats in Cyprus, to owning cats, dogs, fish, birds, hamsters and reptiles, to now being a PFSS fosterer. I have the most experience with cats, dogs and hamsters, but in general I can care for almost any animal both big and small. Currently I am waiting to complete a certified pet first aid course to become officially pet first aid certified. I am currently unemployed and available every day of the week at almost every hour. I have a couple of social events during the week but it shouldn't interfere greatly with sitting/walking work. Unless I already have an existing booking at the same time, I will most likely accept requests! Dogs will always be walked on leash and will always use provided devices (harness, muzzle, etc). They will be walked in the provided route if offered, otherwise I will determine the safest route in the area. Life360 location can also be provided so you are able to see my location at a glance if need be. Other pets, including cats or other free roam pets, will be secured before opening doors/windows while caged animals will have their enclosures cleaned and checked regularly. I work using a positive reinforcement method when handling dogs, which emphasises rewarding good behaviour over punishment for bad behaviour. I do not use any methods involving 'alpha mentality' or domination tactics. Most of my experience has been with medium and large sized dogs so I am also adept at being firm and speaking authoritatively when needed without being cruel or violent.

About: I’ve always loved dogs and have plenty of experience with labradors and greyhounds, as well as cockapoos and Jack Russells. I have loads of patience for nervous pups and trained my gorgeous foster greyhound to walk upstairs and to learn to be in unfamiliar public spaces with other dogs, as well as aiding in his recovery from enduring injuries and stomach complications from before he was rescued. The comfort, safety, and health of your dog are my top priorities. I’ve looked after golden retrievers, cockapoos, and Jack Russells for days and weeks at a time. I also was inseparable from my golden Labrador Meggie from when I was 7 to when I was 20 and would love to look after your brilliant dog with the same warmth, dedication and care. I’m in the final stages of my PhD in English Literature and will be spending significant time working at home until teaching resumes in autumn. Having the company and energy of a dog to break up the day would be such a boost and I’d be ready and able to walk and play with your dog as much (or as little!) as they require. I work part-time on Tuesdays but I’m otherwise available and my partner Michael will also be on hand in the flat to take care of your furry friend when he can! I live with my partner, Michael (photo 6), who also loves dogs, in a spacious flat in the southside of Glasgow. I have a fenced backyard and close access to Queen’s Park and Linn Park, and can also drive to any parks your dog might feel more comfortable in. I’m very sensitive to the individual needs and spirit of all dogs and will do everything to ensure that they’re relaxed, happy, and cared for whenever they’re with me.

“I’d highly recommend Rachel. Our usual cat sitter was unavailable and we felt anxious finding someone new. Rachel was so reassuring! She responded quickly, she was punctual, professional, with great communication and very knowledgeable about animals. It was lovely to get her updates about the cats when we were away and we’ll definitely book Rachel again!”

About: Hi, I’m Cloe! I’ve been caring for dogs and other animals since I was young, and it's something I’ve always been passionate about. I currently have two dogs of my own, Nylah and Honey. Nylah is reactive, which has given me valuable experience and understanding of different dog behaviours, especially when it comes to dogs with unique needs or behavioural challenges. This hands-on experience means I’m confident in caring for pets with a range of temperaments, and I always take a calm, patient, and personalized approach to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also regularly look after a family member’s cat, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. Whether your pet needs a little extra attention or just a cozy, fun visit while you're away, I’m here to provide loving, reliable care. I am available on any day of the week and weekends. I’m also open to overnight stays with advance notice and can often accommodate last-minute bookings when my schedule allows. I’ll do my best to work around your needs and provide reliable, loving care. Any questions just ask! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I always take the time to understand each animal’s individual needs and personality, ensuring a calm and secure environment where they can feel at ease. Whether it's managing leash reactivity, administering medication, or simply providing a quiet space to relax.I also keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos for peace of mind while you're away.

“Roisin and Edward have been fantastic! We organised a drop in with Fergus and we received great info/pictures and felt very confident in them. Would highly recommend and would use again!”

About: I always had dogs growing up and always loved to look after my friends dogs too. Since I adopted Alma my focus and prioritis completely shifted and I just want the best for her. Since she's a very social dog I thought maybe I can provide her more fun by accepting dogs in my home and walking them regularly. I might not have years of experience I can show up but I have my doggy as proof, how much I love and care for them. Since I got my Alma, I quited hospitality to honor my pledge I made on adoption: not leaving her behind. Because of that I don't have an other job and I live in my own property which gives me a lot of freedom in decision making. If it's a beautiful day there is big chance I'll take them out for a hike/hillwalk somewhere close to Glasgow too. For many dogs distractions is key when they left with someone else. Alma is a great partner in this, as she loves to play. They can be anywhere in the apartment: carpets, sofa and bed but I do have designated bed for doggies too. If you wish me to keep them off the furniture because they are not allowed back home, I can do that too. The house has a fanced shared garden in the back where I would take them for a quick wee before bed. I live close to 3 parks and I take them for longer shorter walks regularly. My dog is off lead but I'll follow your instructions how you would like me to walk your dog, within and outside of the park. I have 2 flatmates, they both love dogs and been looking after friends dogs in the past too. What I can provide is the GPS history of my own dog, so you see how much we have been out and where. I believe this should be mandatory for all dog walker anyway.
