“A big thank you to Curtis for an excellent service. Curtis was really flexible at short notice when we were let down by a friend a few days before a 10 day trip overseas. He came and did a meet and greet the day before we were due to leave, met our 2 dogs (one of which is very unsure of new people and can be a little challenging!) and then returned on our leave date to start the sit. Curtis is punctual, communicative and took lots of great pics whilst we were away. We came home to two happy dogs and an immaculate home where everything had been looked after. Our next trip is already booked and we hope to be return/ repeat customers going forward! With no family to help us with pet care, it’s been a genuine relief to find Rover and Curtis… “would highly recommend!””

About: I've been house sitting for over 10 years in Australia and the UK and have looked after dozens of dogs and cats. I've also cared for a heard of sheep & cows, a pair of turkeys, a flock of ducks & chickens and even a special frog in a London pond! I work from home a couple of hours a day, so have ample time for long (if the pet likes it) walks and lots of animal care. I have cared for elderly pets who require medication numerous times a day and have stayed up all night with a particularly nervous dog one night when there were fireworks. My dream is to live on a farm, and I'm slowly working towards buying my own land to make this happen. Until then, I adore making sure your pets are cared while you're away. I work a couple of hours a day (flexible time, but typically 10-1pm) so can adjust my work around the pet's routine. I'm a relatively early riser so am more than happy to go for a walk around 8-9am in the morning. I used to own and operate a guest house in Australia, so am very used to caring for a home and do my best to leave every home I stay in as clean (if not cleaner) than I first found it. I'm happy to water plants and tend to gardens: Good practice for me when I buy my land.

My schedule is flexible due to my part-time support worker role. I work varying hours, usually 2-6 hours per shift, with every other weekend and sleep-ins. I always respect each pet’s routine and the owner’s home as if it were my own. I ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their familiar environment. I follow all instructions carefully, keep doors and gates secure, and provide lots of love, attention, and gentle supervision throughout my visit.

About: I grew up with a large family that loved animals and was always surrounded by them. I asked for a mouse for my 10th birthday, and got a bonus of ten more when we found out she was pregnant! At the same time, my brother’s hamster was also pregnant and had a litter of eleven! We hand-built large cages for both litters and suddenly we’re surrounded by more than twenty adorable rodents! If you count the five goldfish we also owned, we were close to thirty pets at once. The lifespan is unfortunately short for most of these little guys, and as the years went on we got three birds, two dogs, and one rat. In my twenties when I lived on my own, I got myself a cat. He was the greatest boy I ever could have hoped for, but he had been born with an underlying heart condition and passed away at only seven. Since then, I have moved to the UK from America and married my animal loving husband (Fin). He had a dog, cat, and rabbits when I first moved, but they have all passed away in the last couple of years. His dog was 13 and died most recently in February of bone cancer, but he was the goodest boy. We are now living without any pets at the moment, and miss them so much, but know we need to pick the right time to start again with our own, so in the meantime, we’re really hoping to borrow yours! My husband and I both adore all animals, and are so looking forward to spending quality time with your own! My husband and I both work from home, so our hours are very flexible! It is very likely that we can make anything you need from us work. For all services, we have complete respect for our pet owners personal requests regarding their pets. If your little guy is on a strict diet, we will not sneak him treats behind your back. If they’re not, then they’ll probably be getting spoiled! If they eat dinner and go for walks at a specific time, we’ll set alarms to keep to that agenda. If they don’t like walking on pavement, we have a lovely grass field area across the street and multiple parks near us. My husband (Fin) and I both work from home, so we have all the time in the world to spend with your pets and give them all of the attention they deserve! We have a fenced in garden that’s quite long and a good width for running around dogs, and we have a gorgeous field/hill a stone’s throw away from us that we go to all the time and people love taking their dogs too. There is also an award-winning dog park down the road! As far as I door care, we start by respecting your own personal boundaries and wishes, but we love cuddles, playing, tricks, walks, pets, treats, and everything in between!

About: For over 30 years I’ve either Adopted, fostered or looked after pets. My first dog in 1988, was a puppy Alsatian cross. My friend’s dog had a litter of pups and I helped her take care of them, and, of course, I fell for one and brought him home. 4 years later I wanted a companion for him so headed off to get a rescue and was chosen by a male Lurcher from the RSPCA. In 2001 I attended a fundraising event with the view to adopt an older dog but the staff asked if I would consider a much younger dog and brought out a dalmatian puppy of 15 weeks. I was hesitant but as soon as they placed him in my arms I was smitten. He had many problems, as he was the result of inbreeding, and 2 major operations later the vet advised that he wouldn’t get past his 5th birthday, but 10 years later he was still with us. In 2011 I attended another fundraiser meet and greet with a small, local dog rescue and quickly joined the team as a volunteer fundraiser and van driver. During this time I walked and transported many dogs, all various ages, sizes and breeds, to larger rescues around the country. Few months in I brought a young dog home with intent to foster. As she was a Staffy x English Bull Terrier with a few behavioural issues she was over looked at the kennels for over 8 months and so she adopted me. Year later and still with the rescue I took her to meet a young male Staffy x Collie and they got on so well I brought him home (just to foster) haha everyone else knew he wasn’t going anywhere so another failed foster and he was adopted. 12 years on and I am now without my fur babies. I lost them both to age and illness in 2024. As I love being with animals I have decided that pet sitting is my future. I have given up my job as a teaching assistant and have chosen to pet sit full-time so I am available during the day and/or night. I only pet sit in the client's home. This way It allows your pet/s to remain in their familiar surroundings • It allows them to maintain their normal routine • Removes the stress and anxiety, for both the pet and their owner • Can help to safeguard your possessions and valuables. • Being on hand if an emergency should arise in the home • The presence of a pet-sitter can deter burglars, squatters and vandals

“So Since moving to Cornwall with my 3 Frenchie's I have been looking for a dog walker and sitter whom I could totally trust with my dogs, as they mean the world to me. Well I found Tia, she has walked the dogs for me and this past weekend 28/1/22 - 30/1/22 she sat with my dogs in my house. I had a very important and personal engagement over the weekend, which I was so glad I could attend. Needless to say I was very apprehensive, but that soon dissolved after a few messages and videos were sent to me of the dogs, Tia had them totally relaxed and enjoying themselves. This meant I could relax and get on with my weekend of events. Tia was excellent with them, calm and effective and I could not have wished for them to be in better and safer hands. About: I have grown up with all sorts of animals and pets I grew up helping to look after my nans two dogs from puppies a staff and a jack russel I absolutely adore dogs and pets it would be great to meet plenty more pet personalities I’m currently not working so I have plenty of free time that will be suited for anyone looking for pet care I can drive and walk pets I can board sit I can house sit and many other variety’s I have a fenced garden that is a great size for pets to run , they can also sit on furniture as I treat them with lots of love and care I also take care my nans dogs sometimes so if they needed company my dogs would be great for that

About: From a family who have had many different breeds of dogs, I am keen to support dogs and their owner needs within the community. I have major flexibility at certain times of year where I would love to spend with a furry companion whether it’s a short walk, or a sit in. I have experience of having a golden retriever from a puppy and training him myself as well as a Siberian husky. I would rise up to any challenge put towards me. I’m currently a teacher so evenings and weekends are my main availability as well as very flexible in half terms. I am open to sitting and dog walking during term time however; during the day I am required at work. I can adhere to rules set and will be consistent in setting these boundaries with the pet in question. I will ensure space is tidy and clean and respected as I understand the importance of this having used dog sitters myself.

About: I’ve taken care of dog since I was younger, where I’d be helping family and friends with walking or sitting for their dogs. I have owned boxer dogs since I was born, therefore am well experienced handling larger breeds that have plenty of energy to burn. I absolutely adore dogs, and would love to help others to offer the best care when needed. I have recently started my new employment, but missed my time will all my new furry friends!
