About: I have loved multiple breeds of dogs over the years, my last passing on at 14. I miss him terribly but still would love the chance to be able to interact with dogs, without the commitment of bringing another into our home yet. I really do prefer their company sometimes! I have trained my dogs from puppies and happy to incorporate any training you are applying. I work for a local estate agents and have done so for the past 5 years. My sole job is to carry out viewings, so I have a lot of experience accessing people's homes, some of which leave they're pets in whilst I am there. I currently only work Friday and Saturday and am available everyday otherwise. I have a vehicle so am happy to travel. I am available for emergency pick ups also, regardless of what that may entail. I always have treats to hand but am happy to adhere to certain diets. I have a medium fenced, private and secure garden. I have always adored my pets and will treat them just as I would my own.

“This was our first time with Hoi Wan and she was amazing. My cat was really well looked after. She's reliable and trustworthy. Would absolutely recommend her.”

About: Hi there! I’m Barbara, and I’ve always been an animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs. Over the years, I’ve gained experience not just through helping family and friends with their dogs but also by caring for my own lovable 9-year-old American Akita. I know the joys and challenges that come with owning a dog, and I’d love to share that same care and attention with your furry friend while you’re away! My dog-sitting experience comes from a combination of looking after my own dog, my friends’ dogs, and family members’ pups. I’ve learned a lot about different dog personalities, from energetic and playful to more laid-back and relaxed. I’m comfortable handling a variety of breeds and temperaments and can offer everything from daily walks to training reinforcement. I treat every dog like they’re my own, offering plenty of love, cuddles, and attention. I know how important it is to make sure your dog feels safe and loved when you’re not around. Having my own American Akita, I’ve learned a lot about basic obedience and how to keep up with training consistency. I can help with reinforcing commands like sit, stay, or leash walking and even help with minor behavioral issues if needed. I love taking dogs out for walks, playing games, and giving them the exercise they need. Whether your dog loves to run around or just needs some quiet time, I’ll make sure they stay active and happy. I’ll send you updates and photos to keep you in the loop about how your dog is doing. You’ll never have to wonder how they’re feeling while you’re away! Why Choose Me? Experience from my own dog, a 9-year-old American Akita called Kessi, and helping family/friends with their pups. A kind, loving, and patient approach – I understand the unique needs of different dogs. Comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes, including high-energy and more calm-tempered pups. Always available for short or long-term sitting, and I’m happy to adapt to your schedule. Clear communication – I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages to ensure peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about dogs and has real hands-on experience, I’d love to help take care of your dog while you’re away. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I am currently working Mon-Fri 6-2pm and I am free after 2pm and over the weekend. I will have plenty of time to play with your pet. I have a fenced garden and 2 min walk to the field where your pet can play with my lovely friendly senior American akita kessi.

About: I have been used to looking after dogs since I was a child, often taking care of dogs for family members and friends. I have always for as long as I can remember had a cat also. Even now with my own partner and children, I often look after dogs and cats for friends and family. I am a stay at home mum to 4 children, who absolutely adore animals. Our house is busy with 6 of us, so any dog or cat coming to spend time with me and my family, will never be short of attention or affection. We currently have a cat called “Poppy” and we have wanted a dog of our own for a while now, and we are currently trying to save up to be able to get a dog of our own at some point in the future. We are a family who loves to get out for walks to parks and sometimes the beach and we love being able to take a dog with us. Being a stay at home mum means I have plenty of time during the day to care for and spend time with cats or dogs. I am a stay at home mum and so I am around most of the time and would be able to take a dog along with me on school runs etc, if a dog isn’t happy being left for short periods of time. During the evenings, weekends and school holidays we like to go for walks to the park so we would be more then happy to take a dog along with us. Usually there will be someone at home so a dog would always have company. As I am a stay at home mum, I have plenty of spare time to be able to care for pets, as long as I can take my youngest child along with me. We have a spacious garden which is fenced. We have safety gates due to having a toddler at home. Our cat Poppy is usually hiding somewhere upstairs under a bed. We are easy going and so would be happy to let dog sleep on a bed and be on the sofa, although if that isn’t what you let your pet do, then we are happy to follow your rules. We always keep an extra watchful eye on our children when we have pets to stay, and they would never be left alone together unsupervised.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs most of my life for friends and family and have worked at a dog boarding kennels for 3 years working with all kinds of dog breeds and I studied dog behaviour, nutrition and management including housing and healthcare I’m currently working part time between 8-10am and 3-5pm so I’m available most days in between, if you are okay with your dog/dog’s being left for 2 hours morning and afternoon. In your home I will listen and follow all instructions to keep your pet safe and happy this will extend to outside the home on walks. Unfortunately i cannot have your pet in my home as I have a reactive dog and wouldn’t want to put another animal in danger or distress.

About: I love animals to bits and admire them all I can. I use to foster a dog for a few months and we created a beautiful bond with so many lovely memories. My cousin's use to have a dog and I would occasionally look after him as well, he was a bit aggressive but with patience and love, he was a lovely. I have had hamsters so I know how important it is to give animals their space and to have patience to form a connection. Right now, my sister has a Syrian hamster, she is the only pet we have. I am a first year university student in Manchester but I have a lot of free time now that first year has come to an end. I do have a part time job at a cafe and will update my availability as soon as I get my rotas. Other than that, I am very flexible! I have a garden that is fenced up to ensure safety - the only thing would be that the garage roof it attached to the top part of my garden. But I will be keeping an eye and spending time with your pet so that they don't come across it.

About: Hello! My name is Jane and I am a dog walker and pet sitter. I have worked for the past 12 years as an animal care lecturer, as an animal management keeper, and worked in a large aquatics pet store, so I have a broad range of experience. In 2024 I decided that I wanted to use my experience with animals and work for myself. Having needed dog walking and pet services myself in the past and struggled to find someone local that could rely on, I know how worrying it can be to find the right person to care for my animals whilst I am not at home. The person I would be hiring would be responsible for two things I care about the most, my pets and my home. I therefore aim to provide a reliable and reassuring pet care service for all owners to help alleviate some of these worries. I am fully insured with PetPlan Sanctuary and have been trained in Canine First Aid (iPet Level 3). I also have an enhanced DBS check available for clients to view, so you can be assured you have someone trustworthy caring for your pets. I can provide regular or one-off dog walking and a variety of pet care services in your home (including one-off or regular visits, and overnight stays). I can even clean and maintain your aquarium for you, both freshwater and marine. I care for the pets of others nearly full time so I can fit in pet care services very flexibly. I also work part time shifts caring for an exotic animal collection at a local college and can usually fit in pet visits and overnight stays around this. Pets are cared for with their own comfort, and peace of mind of the owner, at the heart of the routine. As much as possible I try to ensure the pet's normal routine is not disturbed, which can help many pets when their owners are away. This is especially true for nervous cats and shy dogs who often need their own space, and I try not to pressure them into being in my company if they do not want it. On the other hand, confident cats and dogs can always get the scritches, belly rubs and play time they ask for! I try to wind this down in the late evening to ensure that pets know it is coming towards bed time. I believe it is very important to respect pets and owners boundaries. For example, if they're not allowed on the sofa with you, they're not with me either. This is all talked through at the meet and greet I insist on arranging before every booking to make sure we're all on the same page and the pets can meet me at least once before I stay with them. Rest assured your sofa will remain pet-hair free during any stay if that is your preference. When undertaking overnight stays with dogs, I try to pop by at least once during the day for a toilet break. Because I have other dog walking and pet visit commitments I can't always be there a lot of the day at the home, but ensure I pop by at least once in between my other commitments. For other animals (cats or other small pets) I do not usually do this unless needed for their health and wellbeing. I try to have a minimal impact on the owner's home when staying overnight. I bring my own ready-made food, my own bedding, and even my own entertainment. There's nothing more of a chore than coming home from holiday to clean extra bedding along with your own holiday laundry!

About: I’ve taken care of hamsters, cats and dogs. I’m a registered children’s nurse and DBS checked- I have a deep appreciation for non-verbal communication with humans and our furry friends! I’m currently waiting to start my SCPHN apprenticeship in September and have no other commitments currently. I have a syrian hamster at home that can be moved to a different room/floor. I am mostly at home and go for occasional walks. I will learn your pets routine and do my best to provide as much support and normalisation to their normal routines as possible. I’m always up for a nice long cuddle!

About: I have been cat sitting now for over 2 years and i currently volunteer at a Cat rescue (Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary) where i have been working for 12 years. I have experience working with poorly cats, cats with special needs and cats & kittens of all ages. I also foster for the rescue so have a range of experience in looking after different cats with different personalities. I also have a National diploma in Animal management which i got at Craven College. I have grown up with cats all my life and currently have 5 cats of my own, all of which are rescues, Minx, Missy, Ninja, Cagney and Rascal. They range in ages from 3 to 14. I work at the cat rescue 3 days a week. I'm available in the mornings and late afternoons to visit your pets and spend some time with them or i can do overnight stays. I will look after your pet in your home and follow the routine and any instructions you give me on how your pet needs to be looked after.

“Lydia has been brilliant looking after my cocker spaniel puppy Dexter! Couldn’t recommend her enough. She even brought her dog Benny for a play date. Thank you for everything Dexter loves you both! ❤️”

About: I've grown up around pets, mainly dogs having spent lots of time at friends and families homes who had pets. As I grew into a teenager, my friends and I were allowed to take the dogs out for walks on our own come snow or sunshine! Over the years I have gotten to know many characters and personalities. I've become the go to person amongst friends to look after their furry family when they've needed someone to look after their dog for a walk, weekend or whilst they've gone on holiday. As someone who loves being outdoors walking, hiking or running, it's worked out well as I've enjoyed the companion of a furry friend on my outdoor adventures. I equally enjoy the company of a furry friend when working, I am fortunate to have a remote role whereby I go into the office once every couple of months so am grateful to gain company, in providing company in the working week. I'm a remote worker with infrequent travel to an office so can do morning, lunch and evening walks dependent on needs, I am also open to dog sitting at the home of the dog for holidays too. I would be more comfortable looking after a dog in it's own familiar environment than in my own home - leave me instructions on where to find their favourite toys and meals!

About: A lifelong animal lover who would be so excited to take care of your little family members. My pooch is fortunate to have company most days since I work 3 days a week. I would be glad to offer your pups a helping hand and support since not everyone has this opportunity. I have house-sat for friends' and families' pets, so thought it would be a great opportunity to share my love with others. Previously I've had Japanese Akita’s, Shih Tzu and Labrador’s and now my bundle of fun Cockapoo 'Doug', so have plenty of experience training and caring for high-energy larger dogs that need lots of mental stimulation and enrichment. If your pup is happier cuddling on the couch, that works perfectly for a bookworm like me. As long as you're away, your furry family member will get all the attention and belly rubs it needs. I live a short walk from Northcliff park a quiet dog park and Roberts Park so your pooch will always have a big, grassy area to play on or off-leash or we can go for nice long walks. I love exploring new areas too, so if you are located in another area I would thrive on exploring new walks with your furry friend. While you're away, your pet can enjoy a good cuddle, play session, and park walk. As much as anything, I am a patient, loving, and reliable person, who loves sharing my love of animals with others. I am a qualified midwife. So not only do I love my fur babies but I bring real babies into the world. I work shift work but only 3 days a week so have 4 days free to love your fur babies as much as I love mine! My dog has free rein of the house. He sleeps on our bed and knows no where is off limited. Any dog is welcome to sleep on our sofa aswell, I believe a pet is as much part of the family as anyone else. I have a big garden which is fully secure with 6ft walls, the garden is packed with toys (as my dog takes them out and does not bring them back)

Charlotte G.
“Charlotte came to our rescue whilst we were on holiday in Scotland. We were due to pick up our new Goldendoodle puppy when we got back, but got a phone call from the breeder asking us if we could pick him up earlier as they wanted to go on holiday. We thought of Charlotte immediately, as we knew how much she loved her own dog, Doug the cockerpoo. Not only did she pick up our pup from the breeders, but she offered to stay in our house till we got back, so our pup Elvis would get used to his new surroundings. She sent us photos and videos daily and treated him like her own. We were so grateful to have someone so loving, caring and trustworthy to look after our pup.”

Whenever I go on holiday I make sure Samn stays at my house to care for my pets as she is incredible with them . Not all my dogs get along with one another and Samn deals with this superbly by rotating their play time and food time I highly recommend Samn to care for your pets as she has done a fantastic job with mine”

“Hi Amy Baynes is my daughter. Obviously I have plenty of positive things to say about her. For your purpose I will share reasons for her to look after dogs. She lives in her own property in a nice area. Her back garden is secure. There are some good walks in the area. She works from home for the most part. For the past year she has been dog sharing our dog overnight about three times a week. He is well looked after. She loves the dog and spends a lot of time being affectionate towards him. She is more than capable of caring for other pets. I hope this helps. Kevin”
