“Gary and Carol agreed to watch Spettro my blind IG when my regular sitter was out of town! They both were very welcoming, warm, kind, and flexible. They provided a safe home and comforting snuggles throughout the day! Spettro came home happy and tuckered out each day! Spettro will definitely want to go back and visit! Thanks again Gary and Carol!!!!!”

“Willow was great with my reactive, anxious dog. It’s challenging to find sitters knowledgeable and capable of dealing with his issues. We felt confident leaving our dog with her and I can tell he had a good time. Willow kept him busy with activities and gave us frequent updates. We will definitely use her services again when we need daycare.”

“Tracy and her family took great care of my big guy! Plenty of attention and play time in the backyard, and good communication throughout. No reservations about having her watch him again.”

“Emma is amazing! She is so knowledgeable about dogs and asked all the right questions before we brought our pup over for daycare. We received pictures and a video during the day and were updated on how things were going. When we picked up our pup, she smelled amazing and was wearing a cute little bandana! We are so happy we found Emma’s place and will keep sending our pup back!”

“María is the sweetest soul! she did such a wonderful job caring for my puppy Bones. he came back wagging his tail & ready to go to bed! she got all his energy out! Bones struggles with very very bad separation anxiety, & maría reassured me from the start that he was in good hands & would not be left alone. which has been a struggle in the past with previous sitters. Bones can also have some behaviors like jumping on people or the counter tops, & she did amazing setting that boundary with him not allowing him to hustle her & get away with being a menace! María kept me updated and sent me pictures quite often which i really appreciated! She made Bones & I feel comfortable & confident with our decision to go with her. she is so lovely & i would recommend her to anyone who may be worried leaving there pup w someone they don’t know! María is great!”

“Makenzie is the best! Our little pup has a blast going to her house and playing with her friends. She takes great care of all her campers and always send the best pictures of our puppy to us to let us know how much fun she’s having! Highly recommended”

“Ariane is a great communicator, and it’s obvious she’s great with dogs. my dog loved her right away. I appreciate her exercising my pup and loving on him afterwards. Will definitely leave my boy with her again!”

“Shasta and her family are very loving and caring, we truly trust her completely. Our dog Gus gets so excited about having a stay it make leaving him a boy easier knowing he just runs right into the house out of excitement!”

“Badru had a ton of fun romping around with their dog. I appreciated the videos and pictures along the way. Thanks for making it easy to be away from this big baby!!”

“Took excellent care of my high energy puppy, provided lots of pictures and videos of him happily playing in the yard, prompt and communicative. Couldn't have asked for a better person to trust with my kiddo for the weekend”
About: Gigi loves all the babies! I’m a cat & dog mom and Gigi to 3 grandkitties who live right next door. Would love to spend time with your little (or big) sweetheart too. Confident with dogs of all sizes including reactive dogs, meds administration for dogs and cats, and am available for overnight care. I’m currently working from home and make my own hours so can easily work around your schedule. I’m available for drop-in’s, walks, and overnight care. I have a calm energy most animals welcome and I’m usually able to gain their trust early. Having raised 2 dogs and several cats through medical conditions and several moves, I’ve become very attuned to their body language which helps me to understand their needs and wants.
“We are really pleased with our dog’s first stay with Peter and Missy! We appreciated being able to meet them and their sweet dog, Gunner, prior to booking with them. Peter and Missy seem very caring, conscientious and knowledgeable about dog care. After our dog’s visit, we were pleasantly surprised to receive information about our dog’s activities (e.g. map showing where he went on a walk, at what time and distance) and loved the photos! We appreciated them taking such great care of our dog!”

“From the beginning, very responsive and helpful! They were able to handle my high anxiety dog and didn’t get annoyed by the overly long explanation I had about his dogality. Followed up with pictures and updates and my dogs had a blast! Highly recommend Cass and Trevor for dog sitting.”

“Sarah was a great sitter for my dog Rosie. Rosie was so excited to come back every morning for daycare, and Rosie and Ellie were fast friends. We will definitely book with Sarah again in the future!”

“This was my first time ever using Rover and using a dogsitter outside of family and friends. It was a wonderful experience! Lousie is a very warm and friendly person. She kept me updated on my two fur babies throughout the day and sent me photos. I recommend her!”

About: Pets have always been a large part of my life. I have grown up with pets of all kinds; dogs, cats, chickens, horses, cows, hamsters, Guinea pigs, etc. I will always treat your pup just like my own; giving them all the unconditionally love, attention, and care they need & deserve. I work 2x days per week and spend most of my time at home with my pup, Bentley. I also watch my daughter’s dog often. I can take dogs for potty breaks frequently throughout the day, go on walks, and take them on car rides. I have a big fenced yard with one loving 9 year old lab. He loves to play fetch and tug a war and your pup can join or can play separately, whatever is needed. Also, have a pool if your pup enjoys swimming they are more than welcome to get in! I watch at all times, your dog would never be left alone in the pool or backyard. My pup loves swimming and would love to swim with other dogs. I live close to a park and can take your pup to run (off-leash if allowed) or walk! Bentley is friendly with other dogs, as well as my daughter’s dog who I often watch and take care. There will also be plenty of cuddles, loves and treats!

Gary and Carol are very knowledgeable and take great care of our rambunctious boxer puppy. We feel very confident leaving her with them. She seems to be very happy being there: she runs up the stairs when we drop her off and is reluctant to leave when we pick her up.

From the beginning, very responsive and helpful! They were able to handle my high anxiety dog and didn’t get annoyed by the overly long explanation I had about his dogality. Followed up with pictures and updates and my dogs had a blast! Highly recommend Cass and Trevor for dog sitting.

Kristen was so friendly and was prompt with answering any questions I had about working together before we booked. I felt great knowing our puppy would get to play with other doggies all day rather than sit alone at our house in his crate and he must have had a blast because he’s tuckered out the day after snoozing the day away.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
