Your dog will feel right at home here! We have a lot of fun! We go on pack walks, hikes, and head to the off leash dog park to play ball (if you permit) We are very close to Laurelhurst Park, Mt Tabor Park, and we also love Fernhill and 1000 Acres.

When it is hot outside, I have misters set up throughout the yard, sometimes we pull out the kiddie pool, and I have a super powerful air conditioner that keeps the inside of my home quite chilly! When it is cold, we have a woodstove fire and lots of blankets and cozy dog beds.

I am a dog lover that has always had 1-4 dogs in my life at all times, fostered many dogs, and have also worked with dogs that needed special attention from Family Dogs New Life Shelter and Fences for Fido . I love dogs with all my heart, and their comfort comes first. I work for myself and watch dogs full-time. I have large crates if needed/requested, and I am familiar with dogs with special needs. 24/7 care is possible if requested as well. I have two dogs that make great playmates, yet at the same time, if your dog is a king or queen and likes to be an only child, I have the ability to keep your dog separate, comfortable and at peace. I own my own home, have lots of dog beds everywhere, and dogs are always allowed inside at all times!! I will also text you daily with photo updates of our adventures!

I have a 4 PM or later drop off (4-7 PM) and a 10 AM or earlier pick up (8-10 AM), or else doggy day care ($29) applies for one or both ($29 x 2) respective start/end days (in cases off added daycare, you can drop off between 8 and 10 AM and/or pick up between 4 and 7 PM). If you need a drop off or pick up before 8 AM, or a drop off or pick up later than 7 PM, I request that you just leave your dog for an additional night of boarding. In a complete and total bind, I will allow drop offs or pick ups past 7 PM or before 8 AM, but it is $15 for every hour or increment thereof. I don't do midday pick ups and drop offs, especially on the weekend, because we are out on dog walks/adventures. All pick ups and drop offs need to be scheduled between my time frames, preferably on the half hour. This allows me to give each dog the time they need to integrate into the home.

* Pickup/Drop Off rates are $20 for under 5 miles, out and back in one trip ie: if you live 7 miles from me, drop off or pick up will be $24 (2 extra miles each way = 4 extra miles x $1/mile= +$4. If you live anything under 5 miles away, it will be a flat fee of $20

**Any trips to the pet food store (if your pet runs out of food), trips to the vet for vaccinations or pre-existing conditions, or other errands for your pet are billed at $35/hour + $1/mile.

*** Even if I am marked BOOKED on the calendar, please don't hesitate to contact me via a general inquiry or a custom quote, especially if your dog is small. It means there will be at least a few dogs here boarding - if your dog is mellow and gets along with all dogs, it will most likely be no problem. We have more than enough room and people to keep a watchful eye!! I only accept one new dog during any particular block of time, the rest are all repeat clients. Send your general inquiry now!

****Dogs over 80 lbs are $60 per night. Please provide all details and send a general inquiry. Dogs must have good leash walking skills and training. Currently I only accept dogs over 80 pounds on a case-by-case basis.

*****Puppies 1 year old and younger are $75 per night. If your puppy is 6 months to 1 year, and you believe your dog is mature for it's age, you can leave your dog for a day of daycare or a night of boarding to be assessed. If they pass the criteria, (ie: have some obedience training, are potty trained, no longer chew everything indiscriminately, are independent, and are kennel trained), the rate will be $60 for future stays until they turn 1 year. Dogs that are geriatric and have a lot of medical issues, medications and/or incontinence will also be charged at the puppy rate of $75 per night . Daycare is $29 when attached to a boarding stay. Standalone daycare is $45.

****** I accept unspayed and unneutered puppies under 6 months. BUT if your dog is over 6 months and unspayed or unneutered, it is $75/night (same as my puppy rate) and you MUST indicate this to me verbally at the time of booking. I only accept unaltered dogs of any age on a case by case basis, depending on the other dogs I will have here at the time. All dogs must also be up-to-date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella), and have proof of flea preventative. All owners must also fill out an 4 page intake form.

Late pickups (after a 30 min grace period) incur a $15/hour fee in addition to regular daycare charges.

My holiday boarding rate is $50/night. I have a two night minimum over holiday periods (see the Rover calendar for more information regarding holiday periods).

ALL DOGS MUST BE KENNEL TRAINED. I do not leave dogs in kennels often or for long periods ever, however, if I do have to leave the home to walk other dogs, or for a quick errand, I do separate dogs and kennel them. I also feed dogs in kennels to ensure that dogs eat their own food and ONLY their own food.

I DO NOT accept dogs with excessive barking issues, severe separation anxiety, strong dominance issues, or even the slightest bit of aggression towards humans or other dogs. YOU MUST DISCLOSE IF YOUR DOG(S) HAVE ANY OF THESE ISSUES. IF YOUR DOG EXHIBITS ANY OF THESE BEHAVIORS, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE THE STAY AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED $150 PER DAY UNTIL THE DOG IS PICKED UP BY YOU, YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACT, OR ANOTHER SITTER ARRANGED BY ROVER.

I have worked as a foster for Fences For Fido, Hopes Haven, and Family Dogs New Life Shelter. I have been pet sitting full time for 7+ years. I have owned and taken care of dogs for 30+ years.

Why I love dog sitting

I have cared for and fostered dogs for the last 30 years. I have always had 1-4 dogs in my life at all times. I grew up with dogs and was taught responsibility through the caretaking of dogs. Dogs bring me a lot of joy and happiness and I love how each dog is an individual with a unique personality. I could not imagine my life without dogs involved. Bonding with dogs is very rewarding.

About my yard

I have a medium sized yard that is fenced in with a brand new 6 ft tall solid cedar fence. Buried around the whole perimeter of the yard is chicken wire so dogs cannot dig out. All gates are doubled and locked. Around the perimeter of the yard is a dog run with cedar chips and misters for the summer. I clean up the dog run multiple times daily. We go on a pack walk in the AM and a pack walk in the PM. In the summer, dogs will play like they are in a mini doggy daycare, lounge around in the yard, and on the back deck basking in the sun and soaking up the rays :)

My experience administering medication

I can administer medicine orally, nasally, or intramuscularly.

SandyPDX: Taking dogs still :)Sabin, Portland, OR

During this time of social distancing and possible quarantine I am taking small dogs on a last minute basis...but without meet & greets. We can do a virtual meet & greet on the phone. :)

I specialize in small breed dogs (1-year-old and older). Special needs & geriatric are welcome. I don't walk dogs off my property, for safety's sake, but they have free reign in the backyard as many times a day as they like.

Now retired, I enjoy being with the dogs 24/7, except to get groceries or occasionally go to the gym for an hour or so.

I am as loving and indulgent as only a favorite Aunt or Grandma can be. Naughtiness and 'accidents' do not freak me out. Lap lounging is encouraged and welcome. Lots of snuggling and cuddling for every dog, every day.

Fenced backyard is safe and secure. I will send you texts or email messages with pics daily. Dog-friendly floors and furniture, and smoke-free environment. Dogs are fed separately from each other, so nobody gets anyone else's food.

I look forward to having your dog(s) come stay with me!

About this sitter:

I love having dogs around me...they are the best companions. It is so much fun having my dog visitors and I feel great about providing a home setting for people who worry about their dogs being unhappy while they are traveling. I have not had any dogs display separation anxiety during their stay. They all respond to the comfort, safety, and affection of a home stay.

Why I love dog sitting

I have loved dogs all my life. I've always had dogs at home and dogs seem to like me too.

About my yard

Small fenced back yard, secure.

My experience administering medication

I am used to giving pills, drops, ointments. But not injections. I also know how to help a dog if they have a seizure.

Bed & Biscuits Pet Hotel, LLCKing, PORTLAND, OR

Hello, my name is Sandy and I live with my little dog Yoda. I fell in love with the little guy several years back working as a volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society. He was a bit of a rascal, since he spent the better part of five years fending for himself on the streets of LA. It took a lot of patience, perseverance and love to get the little guy to trust me and to be the upstanding dog he is today.

After more than a twenty-five year career in the hospitality industry I recently decided to embark on a new adventure and work online from home. While, Yoda and I have a grand time together here at home we both thought it would be fun to meet new friends and host some sleepovers with other pups in the city.

As a frequent traveler myself, I know how comforting it is to have a safe and loving home for your dog to stay. Your dog will be treated as a part of our family and be surrounded with love and affection.

Our home is ten minutes from the Portland International Airport so it easy for anyone who is getting ready to fly out.

Why upset your dog - Stay at Home!Pearl District, Portland, OR

Owner works from home and is able to provide your pet with more attention and potty breaks to align with their normal schedule. However if you want me to come in and just feed your pet and not spend time playing with them, I am the wrong sitter! I have had dogs since I was young and my wife and I need to fill our temporary dog love void! We can develop a plan that works for you and your dog to ensure they have the best time possible!

Why I love dog sitting

I have had dogs since I was born and have had them on and off over the years. We unfortunately do not have a dog right now so we are looking to care for them for their owners.

About my yard

My husband and I both grew up with dogs, but in 2002 we rescued our own little bundle of joy who grew into a 110 lb big bundle of joy, a chocolate lab we named Austin. We were so surprised, and caught off guard, by how much we loved this guy. This depth of love is like no other, he stole our hearts... he truly was our furry child.

In 2012, our family unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our very best friend... our partner in crime, confidant, walking buddy, foot warmer, bed hogger, brother, therapist, "mommy's big guy", and co-pilot. We were heartbroken, and our home felt so empty and quiet, even with our 2 1/2 year old son keeping us crazy busy. "Austin" had changed our lives forever. He filled our hearts with joy and our life with love, and taught us things like humility, always greet everyone with enthusiasm, any time is play time, everyone is a friend, each moment is a new moment, never hold a grudge, smell every thing along the way and roll in the good stuff, chase anything that runs, and keep one eye on the cat.

After our loss, we started helping a local dog rescue by fostering dogs coming out of high kill shelters. We felt this was "Austin-Approved". It was a way for us to give back while providing them a safe, loving space where we could discover their personalities, quirks and qualities and they could feel loved again while waiting for their new fur-ever homes.

"He took my heart and ran with it, and I hope he's running still, fast and strong, a piece of my heart bound up with his forever"

Exploring Nature TogetherFar Southwest, Portland, OR

We love the fresh air and exercise in a natural setting, so dog walking is a big part of our day! We live in a quiet, residential neighborhood surrounded by parks, school fields, and nature trails, so your dog will enjoy exploring and the adventure of a hike while being safely on lead in a people/dog friendly environment. Often there will be more than one dog per stay (but no more than three in order to maintain a home atmosphere) so chances are your dog will have a new friend to meet and socialize with. Also, with 24 hour supervision, you can trust that your pooch will be safe and well attended. (I also have the help of a very responsible, 19 year old son, who is a dog lover too. He especially enjoys playing a good game of fetch, or taking those high energy types on the necessary extended walks.) Treats, belly rubs, under the chin scratches, and behind the ear tickles are on the agenda, along with snoozing on the couch (if OK with parents) and curling up in a lap. A typical day usually entails a morning and later afternoon walk, about 1/2 hour each. Depending on the needs of the dog, this can be adjusted. I try to match the dog's normal routine in order to provide continuity. If your dog needs their own space, that's OK too as I incorporate the convenience and security of safety gates. This allows the dog to still be part of the group, yet in their own area. When bringing your dog for a stay, feel free to include items from home that will help him or her feel comfortable and welcome. Regular check in's with you, (including photos!) particularly before the end of the first evening, are provided. This let's you know all is well with your pup throughout the duration of the stay. So, in a home environment, with plenty of nature walks, treats and tickles, new friends and a responsible, experienced provider, (me!) you can be confident that your pooch is safe, happy, and well cared for.

For an alternative to boarding, I also offer traveling care. This is the same excellent care but offered in the comfort and convenience of your own home. If bringing your best buddy to our home is not possible, and the commute is within reason (I have a 4 mile travel radius), this is a popular option. With numerous traveling stays successfully completed throughout my 7 years of professional dog (and cat!) care, along with over 100, 5 star reviews and recommendations, you can be sure that your home and pets will be very well cared for. Finally, additional services include: Daycare, drop-ins w/walks, extended stays (with discounts), senior and puppy care, special needs (administering medications, etc.,), and basic training. Sorry, no aggressive dogs.

I have been caring professionally for dogs 7+ years. I have always loved animals, (particularly dogs!) along with spending much of my time in nature (hiking through forest trails a favorite!). I come from a multi-generation, animal loving (particularly dogs!) family, so I grew up with always having at least one dog (usually more!) at my side. Observing my mother successfully practice and complete several basic dog training courses as she worked with our dogs, I was able to add knowledge in this area. Also, as as an avid reader, I keep up with the latest information about dogs and their care.

I believe in taking good care of animals and that means finding out what their needs are and meeting them successfully. It is a symbiotic relationship that I am always learning from and enjoying. A key to both our health and happiness is plenty of exercise in natural settings, so I adhere to this belief and practice. My motto is safety first, along with always treating the animal with care, compassion, and respect.

On a final note, over the years we have established many "return friends" who have become part of our extended family and have taken up permanent residence in our hearts. Yet at the same time we love meeting new friends.

About this sitter:

I have always been around dogs from childhood on. I grew up in a dog friendly household. My sister is an ace vet. and I've learned a lot from her over the years.

Since I have a cat and a dog along with a young son in a house filled with tempting chew items, I find that it's best if I care for your pet in your home.

I have done a lot of pet and house sitting recently and have been for thanked for keeping a clean house as well as attentive pet care.

I also have a strong background in plant care and don't mind keeping an eye on your house plants and outdoor garden - in fact I enjoy it!

Portland Dog Lovers! Home F-T!!King, Portland, OR

Hello! We're Angel & Monica! We cannot wait to spoil and pamper your dog. We love having dogs over to visit, and since we are both experienced pet parents but do not currently have a dog of our own, your dog will be number one and get all the attention he or she needs! We especially appreciates the genuine, kind nature of dogs and cannot wait to meet yours!

Home full time, Monica and I will be able to provide your dog with the care and attention he deserves while staying with us. Take a look at our photos to check out our home and fully fenced-in yard to see where your dog would be spending his doggy vacation. Our home is in the Alberta neighborhood and there are two parks within one mile! The entire neighborhood is extremely dog-friendly, and one of our local restaurants even has dog items on the menu. Our house is cozy and comfortable, and our yard is a great place to explore and have potty time, and has mulch for your pup's comfort when going outside. We've undergone advanced screening as well has been met in-person and my home has been inspected.

NOTE: Rover keeps us very busy!! Though we keep our doggie guest list small, we almost always have other dogs in our house. Dogs that do best with us are at least reasonably dog social or ok with other dogs around. We have also learned that dogs who have a gentle demeanor and are ok alone for short periods also do best at our house.

Why we love dog sitting

We appreciate the companionship of dogs. Dogs are cuddly, so excitable, and like to engage with their owners. We both especially appreciate dogs' genuine, kind nature. We are particularly fond of mid-size dogs (from about 30-70 pounds), as Angel had a great time playing with his ex's Boxer-Ridgeback and loveable Black Lab. Monica's family dog Lulu was a Red Heeler, she was beautiful and had a wonderful, loving energy. Lulu was very intuitive and could tell when her family needed the extra attention. She made a lifelong dog lover out of Monica!

About my yard
