“Gary and Carol were both outstanding in watching Baker for the night. We visited our son in Portland from Eastern Washington for one day to see our son and we relied on ratings to choose them. Everything people said was correct. Very responsive with communications before during and after the boarding. They sent pictures and let us know Baker was doing fine during the stay which relieved some of our anxiety not knowing anyone in the area. Bottom line, Baker had a great time with their dog Brady. We highly recommend Gary & Carol for any of your boarding needs. We will definitely contact them for our next trip to the Portland area.”

I had to be away for a week for a family emergency, and decided to hire a pet sitter to come in twice a day to feed and play with her instead. This was the longest I've had to be away from my cat and Michelle took amazing care of her. Likewise, Roo loved Michelle so much, I've never seen her get so attached to someone so quickly. On her visits she fed, watered, played with her, cleaned her litter box, cleaned up after Roo's water protest and took such great pictures of her. When I returned home, instead of Roo complaining about my absence for a few days, she only complained for a few hours. Such a huge difference and I'll never board her again. Michelle is thorough, responsible and dependable. I will use her again if she's available, and I would recommend her services to others. You cannot go wrong hiring Michelle to watch your pets. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. “Finding the right fit for taking care of my two older chihuahuas was very stressful, until I came across Julie and Barry. Firstly, my huge requirement was that they had no dogs of their own and secondly, that they would only have one client at a time. That is not super easy to find. And not only do they fulfill both of those requirements, but it is two people instead of one, so it's an incredible amount of care and attention that is given to any animal that they might care for. One of my pups has some pretty major anxiety and Julie knew just what to do with her. She turns on her heating pad and cuddles up on the couch with her, and I can tell that they are very loved while there. And though I know my pups don't like being away from me, they very obviously feel safe and comfortable with both Julie and Barry. They also have a wonderful place for the dogs to be when outside. Our pups are going to board with them soon and we feel 100% comfortable with it, and excited that we have found Julie and Barry. Besides taking great care of the pups, they are lovely people and we have enjoyed getting to know them.”

About: I’ve taken care of my friend’s dog on multiple occasions, for as long as two weeks at a time. I also have two dogs at home! We’ve had dogs since 2010. I also used to have cats as a kid, so I have experience with cat care as well. I can work around any schedule! I absolutely love all pets and am always looking to hang with them. Recently moved here so I am in need of some cute pets to take care of! My dogs are taken out three times a day and are fed twice a day. They are allowed to roam throughout the day and I do my best to give them as much attention when I’m home :) For dog sitting in the past, I typically visited 2-3 times a day, taking the dog out each visit and feeding twice a day. I take the dogs on walks for 15-20 minutes and poop is always picked up :)

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve had family dogs growing up and had a dog of my own in my early twenties, so caring for them has always been a part of my life. Around 2020, friends and coworkers started asking me to house sit while they traveled, and that’s when I realized how much I genuinely enjoy caring for other people’s homes and especially thier pets. Since then, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities... from tiny Chihuahuas and miniature Poodles to Huskies, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans. I’ve also spent some time with cats, hamsters, bunnies, and lizards. Unfortunately I have retired for caring for cats due to allergies. I know that every dog is different. Some want to play nonstop, some love long walks, and others just want someone cuddles. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I’ve even helped reinforce basic training, taught a few fun tricks, and worked on some very simple behavioral habits when owners have appreciated. I believe consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement go a long way. When your dog is with me, they’ll be treated like my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your best friend is getting plenty of attention, exercise, affection, care until you’re back home. I’m currently a surgical technology student, and my classes are scheduled in the mornings, which means I’m available most afternoons and evenings for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and quality time with your pets. Trusting someone with your animal is a huge deal. I am big on personal integrity and respect. I know every pet is different, so I like to stick as closely as possible to the routine they’re already used to. Whether that means long walks, playtime in the yard, keeping up with feeding schedules, or just hanging out on the couch together, I’m happy to do whatever helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. Safety is always my biggest priority. I’m especially careful on walks, pay attention to each dog’s personality and body language. This means, my phone is away… unless I sneak a really cute picture of your pup. I also know how important it is to trust the person staying in your home, so I’ll treat your space with respect and leave it just the way I found it. I’ll also send plenty of updates and photos because I know I’d want the same if someone was watching my dog. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away worry free.

I am one of the few sitters that take reactive dogs, I have the space to accommodate them and still have them get the love and attention they need! About: All services are offered in Oregon. For Washington folks, I can offer boarding your pet in my own home but I do not travel across the river. I have over 1/2 acre of fenced yard and I am home all day giving your babies my full attention. Caring for your pet is my full time job. I have owned two senior border collies that I trained since they were puppies. I have personal experience training using only positivity and clicker signals. I have also owned 3 senior cats that I've had since they were kittens. I no longer have any pets in my home and looking forward to spending time with yours! Since all of my pets have passed over the rainbow bridge, I have decided to come back to my true passion... taking care of animals! I am also working towards a becoming a certified dog trainer. Your pet will not be lonely with me. I will play tug or fetch with your dogs. I am happy to use a crate or cuddle with your fur baby on the couch for nap time. I will be happy to brush your cats and spoil them with catnip and chin scratches. I will keep their rountine to make them comfortable and give them plenty of engaging activities to keep their mind sharp.

“Gary and Carol were both outstanding in watching Baker for the night. We visited our son in Portland from Eastern Washington for one day to see our son and we relied on ratings to choose them. Everything people said was correct. Very responsive with communications before during and after the boarding. They sent pictures and let us know Baker was doing fine during the stay which relieved some of our anxiety not knowing anyone in the area. Bottom line, Baker had a great time with their dog Brady. We highly recommend Gary & Carol for any of your boarding needs. We will definitely contact them for our next trip to the Portland area.”
