About: I spent 2 years volunteering at a dog shelter, while doing so I received training on dog handling at different behavior levels. I also professionally walked dogs with a small business for 2 years. I had many clients that I would walk for daily! Pet care fits well into my schedule because I work afternoon and nights, which leaves my mornings open. I’m looking to make the most of my time by helping pet owners with walks, drop ins, and quality care. I treat every clients home with the same respect I would my own. When meeting a new pup, I always take a slow, calm approach to let them get comfortable at their own pace and build trust. I always follow all care instructions. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for!

Mariah provided friendly, dependable, and courteous drop in care for our senior kitty. He needed medication at the last minute. (When we first booked Mariah , kitty only needed basic drop-in care. But just before we left an issue arose requiring medication.) Mariah handled everything beautifully and with care. Excellent

Kristin was wonderful to work with. She took care of my 2 dogs and birds for a week. She visited 3 times a day and gave me a summary of the visit and photos of my puppies. She went above and beyond when my senior dog had some tummy issues, she took great care of him and did everything I would have done. By the end of the week, the dogs became very fond of her. My house was tidy and she brought in packages and mail. I would not hesitate having her back as my regular pet sitter. She is very responsive to texts and emails.

About: Hi, I’m Pat! I would be happy to help you with your dog's walks and other needs. I have been a dog lover my whole life, and I grew up taking care of my yellow lab, Bailey. My wife and I have two dogs of our own, including a senior dog. Though I am most experienced in dog care, I am a lover of all animals, and I work in the animal protection movement. I have used Rover in the past as a client for my dog when I was working full time and in night school, and I understand firsthand how important it is to have peace-of-mind that your dog is in trustworthy hands. I am happy to take your dogs on long walks or just check in to make sure they’re OK and give them attention. I will treat your dog as my own and take very good care of them. Please feel to reach out with any questions! I work remotely and have a flexible calendar. I love being outside all time of year and I’m able to design my schedule around my Rover commitments. I provide my two dogs with regular, individualized walks due to their different energy levels and dispositions. I am happy to follow specific instructions to provide the exact kind of care your dog needs.

About: Hi! My name is Camille, and I'm a full-time medical assistant with a passion for caring for both people and animals. For years, I've been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends, frequently caring for dogs, cats, and even rabbits while they're away. I've also fostered dogs in the past, which gave me experience helping animals adjust to new environments with patience, consistency, and plenty of love. After spending so much time caring for pets of people I know, I decided it was time to expand my clientele and share my love for animals with even more families. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I strive to provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate care every time. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply a familiar face while you're away, I'll treat them like they're my own. I'm happy to follow your pet's routine, send regular photo updates, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're gone. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! I work full-time as a medical assistant during the week, but I have one weekday off each week, my evenings are typically free after 5:00 PM, and I'm available on the weekends. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule, and I'm happy to be flexible whenever possible to meet your pet's needs. Whether it's evening walks, drop-in visits, weekend care, or overnight stays, I'm committed to providing dependable and attentive care while working around my schedule. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I treat every client's home with respect, keeping it clean and secure, and I'll send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and loving environment while you're away.

About: Hello, I’d love to help you with your pet needs and give your pets lots of love, potty breaks, exercise and make sure they are cared for, happy and safe when you are not home. I love animals! I’ve had dogs my whole life. I grew up with Chihuahua’s. Our family had several over the years. Then I had a Cockapoo who lived to 16 yrs old, he was sick, but we cared for him and he still lived a long wonderful life! I currently have a 6 year-old chocolate lab named Maggie. She’s super energetic and brings a special love to our home. We also have a new member to our family, a cat named Suma…she’s beautiful and very playful! I'd describe my personality as kind, caring, organized, and helpful. I’m currently available for early morning, drop-in visits, also quick 30 minute lunch break visits and/or anytime after 5pm to care for your pets! I provide reliable, attentive care by following each pet’s routine and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for in their own home.

About: Hi, I'm Jen! I've been caring for all different types of animals all my life and I would love the opportunity to spend some time with your pet! I currently own a horse and a cat. I work from home so I have a very flexible schedule that allows walks or playtime throughout the day. I've been caring for and walking dogs professionally for 7 years. I have experience with all different sizes, ages and temperaments. I have a wide range of knowledge on different types of harnesses and how to handle any stressful situations that may arise during our time together. In case of emergency, I have a car and will always be able to get your pet to their vet or nearby animal hospital. I am also able to provide any type of medication your pet may need. I love to provide photo updates to the owner during my walks/visits. Because of the many years of experience I've had with horses, I believe I am well equipped to care for a variety of animals. I hope you'll trust me to care for your pet like my own. I work from home and am able to provide walks/playtime throughout the day. I have a car so I can travel to you or bring your dog to a park or walk on a path. Whatever you are comfortable with. I live in a nice community where I am able to take dogs on long safe walks. If you need in home care, I am open to drop ins or hosting at my apartment. My cat is very respectful and is used to other animals.

My family and I have been fostering for a non profit organization since 2015. With fosters the ages of 6 weeks to 14 years old. I have always been an animal lover. About: Animals have been part of my life since I was a baby. My first dog, Mixie (a Japanese Tibetan Spaniel), and I grew up together. She met me at the bus stop every day after school — this was before leash laws — and she was truly my best friend. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do; it’s who I am. All of my pets have been rescues, and each one has been treated as family. Over the years I have: • Raised and cared for rescued dogs and cats of all ages • Adopted my Maine Coon, Tigger, at 12 weeks old and cared for her through adulthood (she even traveled with me from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania) • Raised my Maine Coon mix, Abigail, from kittenhood through 16 years of age — attentive to senior care needs as she aged • Lived for 1.5 years in a multi-pet household with: – Chloe, a 3-year-old Pit Bull – Bear, a 14-year-old Pit Bull/Labrador mix (senior care experience) – Maggie, a tuxedo cat (cared for 10 years) – Max, a tabby (cared for 10 years) – Abigail, my Maine Coon mix During that time, I managed vet visits, medications, feeding schedules, litter maintenance, senior care, and daily backyard exercise and enrichment • Raised Brumby at my apartment — he was my emotional support dog and went everywhere with me, including daily trips to the on-site dog park and errands • Loved and cared for bonded rescued kittens Muffin & Cookie I am comfortable with: ✔ Vet appointments ✔ Administering medications ✔ Senior pets and aging care ✔ High-energy dogs (including young Pit Bulls) ✔ Multi-pet households ✔ Feeding routines & special diets ✔ Structured exercise and enrichment I treat every animal with patience, love, and respect. Their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being always come first. If you’re looking for someone responsible, experienced, and truly devoted to animals, I would be honored to care for your pets. 🐾 Reliable 🐾 Trustworthy 🐾 Flexible scheduling Please feel free to message me to discuss your pet’s needs! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I live in Jeffersonville and work Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in Berwyn, which allows me to provide early morning visits before work and evening visits after work. I am fully available on weekends and can often accommodate requests with just a few hours’ notice. I’m also happy to stay overnight during the week or on weekends when needed. I’m organized and dependable, and I schedule pet visits thoughtfully so every cat receives my full attention — whether that’s feeding, medication, playtime, litter maintenance, or simply companionship and comfort. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s established routine as closely as possible to minimize stress. I carefully review feeding schedules, medication instructions, litter or potty routines, exercise needs, and any special preferences beforehand. I provide enrichment, playtime, affection (if the pet welcomes it), and detailed updates so owners feel completely at ease while away. I am attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits and will notify owners immediately if anything seems off. Cleanliness is important to me — I keep litter areas tidy, wipe food areas, and leave your home exactly as I found it. If caring for a pet in my home (if applicable), I provide a calm, safe environment with structured feeding, supervised play, and plenty of attention. I do not overcrowd pets and prioritize comfort and safety at all times. My goal is for your pet to feel secure, loved, and relaxed while you’re away — and for you to feel confident they are in responsible hands.

We’re so glad we found Tim! He is kind and gentle with our elderly Bouvier. He not only walked her but worked to provide her with stimulation with a puzzle game and treats since her eyesight and hearing are not what they used to be. He was patient as she took slow walks and sniffed to her hearts content. So grateful to have found someone who took such good care of her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Trooper with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Trooper. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
