About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had seven dogs and six cats, so caring for pets was a part of my everyday life. From feeding and grooming to playtime, walks, and giving them plenty of love and attention, I learned early on what it takes to help pets feel safe, happy, and cared for. In addition to dogs and cats, I’ve also cared for mice, turtles, and fish, giving me experience with a variety of animals and their unique needs. I’ve always had pets throughout my life, and caring for animals has never felt like a chore, it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I also spend time feeding and observing backyard birds, which reflects my love and appreciation for all kinds of animals. Whether I’m caring for a playful puppy, an independent cat, or another beloved pet, I treat every animal with the same patience, kindness, and attention I’d want for my own. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, feedings, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day, and I can easily adjust my routine to meet each pet’s individual needs. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining their usual routine as closely as possible. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Although I have an unfenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised, and dogs are always kept safely on a leash. We also have a neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks that are perfect for walks and exercise. If your pet is crate trained or you prefer they be crated when unattended or at bedtime, I’m happy to accommodate that routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their instructions carefully to help pets feel secure in their familiar environment. About: Throughout my life i’ve grown up with dogs and later in life with cats. I have also worked at boarding places here and there and currently work as a veterinary assistant at a clinic. Currently I am working full time at the clinic T-F 8-6. I will sometimes work a Saturday job seasonly but that won’t start until around spring. That being said I am available currently all weekends and mondays as well to walk your pups! Making sure everything is safe first and then clean. I will mainly be doing walking services so any poop or mess will be cleaned up on the walk and same for inside if need be! I will always greet your dog in a safe way to ensure safety on both ends and trust.

I have spent 12 years caring for my family dog and now my own, along with regular walks, drop-ins, and overnight care for the pets of neighbors, friends, and family. I am comfortable with dogs of every size. Millie, the Bernese Mountain Dog in my photos, is my boyfriend's dog and lives at his house, but I walk and care for her often. At over 100 pounds, so I can handle larger dogs who may pull on walls. I am experienced with administering oral medications, managing leash-reactive dogs on walks, and handling standard crate and feeding routines. I keep detailed notes on each pet's needs and quirks, and I always have your vet's information on hand in case of an emergency. You will never have to wonder how your dog is doing, because I am happy to send updates throughout a visit. I am available for early morning visits and again toward the end of the workday and into the evening, which suits pet parents who need care before or after their own workday. Midday visits may be possible with advance notice. I have some weekend availability as well; just message me and we will coordinate. Safety Your pet's safety comes first. Dogs stay leashed and harnessed any time we are outside, including in shared hallways, elevators, and lobbies, since neighbors and other dogs can appear around a corner without warning. I check the weather before every walk and adjust: short routes and shaded paths in the heat, and less time outside in the cold. Before the first visit, I make sure your vet's information, any medications, and other specifics are written down or saved in the Rover app for easy reference. We can go over detailed instructions at the meet and greet or by message beforehand. If anything seems wrong, you will hear from me immediately. Trust I work full time in HR, so confidentiality and the careful handling of sensitive information are things I take seriously. I treat your keys, door codes, and home with that same standard of care. Keys are never labeled with an address or unit number, and they are stored securely in my home when not in use. You will receive photos and an update with every visit. I never bring anyone along, and I never share photos of your pet publicly without asking first. If my plans change, you will hear about it early rather than at the last minute. Environment In your home, I stick to the areas you tell me to use and leave everything as I found it, including lights, doors, and the thermostat. I also pick up after your pet and tidy anything we have used before I leave.

Abby is simply FANTASTIC! I have a cardigan corgi who, let’s just say, isn’t the easiest to watch overnight (think stubborn, Velcro, determined, etc.). In other words, a typical corgi who has never been away from me for more than a quick overnight or two. I was quite hesitant to leave her alone knowing how stubborn she can be, but Abby did an amazing job coaxing Tottie (said willful corgi) out of her self-imposed-mad-at-mom-for-leaving-corner. She was fantastic with sticking to her specialized diet due to a kidney stone surgery and was cognizant of the heat, so would take Tot for longer walks post sunrise/sunset once it cooled off. Even better, she knew when Tottie “wasn’t feeling it,” and made sure she went home before even remotely approaching the point of overheating. She also played with Tot indoors when it was too hot outside and made sure she had many snuggles and kisses. Since I was several states away, Abby sent daily updates and photos of the two of them - now best pals - on various adventures or being homebodies. When it was time for me to come home, she left the house incredibly clean (far neater than I had left it!), and even made up the bed with clean sheets so that when arrived home (around 10 PM), I could just head to bed. She also went out of her way and purchased a trellis for my tomato vine, which had really blossomed while I was gone and had overrun what I had originally set up for it, thereby saving all the tomato’s! Bottom line: Abby is the absolute BEST and I will be using her here on out! Thanks so much, Abby!
