“I cannot express to you the patience and care Sara took to care for my highly anxious fur babies! My dogs were in shock to not have me there, but Sara patiently won them over with slow, quiet steps. She kept me informed about every angle of progress. The most important thing about Sara was her ability to calmly let my girls get used to her presence, and I was kept informed whether something she did worked or not. If one thing didn't work, she was right back to try another way to gain their trust. Sara made my trip (for a funeral) less painful and I will ABSOLUTELY ask her to watch my babies again!!! She also took fantastic care of my house!!”

“Lisa spent the week housesitting with our Maltipoo, Teddy. She sent us lots of updates and pics so that we knew he was ok. She read all of our notes carefully and took great care of him!”

“Amy did a fantastic job taking care of my two Yorkshire terriers. I love the ability to let them stay in their own house and play in their own yard without being crated. Amy made that possible and I will definitely book her services again.”

“Dana was so great with Sherlock! He easily handled all of his medication needs. He sent the funniest updates and Sherlock loved all of the cuddles. Its not easy to find someone who can match Sherlock's regular schedule of having someone home during the day so I was very happy we found Dana. We will definitely use him again!”

“Nico is the absolute best! Our plans changed last minute and he was so understanding. Our pups have the best time when Nico is here and he gives all the cuddles, playing and love they need.”

“Ariana was extremely professional and super nice when communicating with us. She sent frequent updates on the dogs and took good care of them. Will definitely be booking Ariana again!”

“When it comes to having someone watch our pup, it’s incredibly stressful because he has some health issues, including taking numerous medications, is very stubborn and still has accidents inside. So, when we leave, we always expect to come home to at least a few dribbles of pee or a few things out of place. Not with Tim though. We came home to an immaculate house, including the wash being done, dishes being cleaned and cleaner floors then when we left. Tim was everything we could’ve hoped for, sent us tons of pictures and spent the whole time with our little guy. He was courteous, kind, respectful and helped eliminate any stresses of being away. He also took our pup on walks numerous times throughout the day and did all his medications perfectly. We’ll use him every chance we get moving forward and anyone would be lucky to have him watch your pets. Thanks a million Tim! Happy New Year!”
“Hannah was awesome! She was able to accommodate a last minute booking, including setting up a meet and greet in advance of my departure. During the weekend she gave cute updates and pictures, most of which included my needy pug happily curled up in her lap. Very appreciative!”

“Absolutely best rating possible! Our baby is a lot of work and requires someone super capable of keeping our dog active and understanding his needs. She kept house clean, followed all tips, and was super communicative. Meechy was so happy to get snuggles and feel safe all week :)”

“Angelica is absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of our two pups, even went on long walks with them. She also took great care of our home. We are very grateful.”

“Taylor was truly incredible! We felt so comfortable leaving our four pets with her, and she handled them all perfectly! Some of them were on medication and had specific feeding instructions, which she perfectly handled. Our animals loved her instantly-even our shy cat was giving her cuddles the second day! She took care of our house and went above and beyond cleaning up litter and removing snow! I can’t recommend her enough”

“Sarah was amazing. She is helpful, kind, and creative. My newly adopted dog is struggling with separation anxiety; knowing I could trust Sarah to keep him engaged and happy while I was out of the house was such a relief.”

“Kat sent us photos daily while we were out of the country on our anniversary trip for a week. She was communicative per our requests and left our house nice and clean! We knew the pups had the best time snuggling with her.”

“Ben was absolutely wonderful! He communicated well sent great photos and we felt very good about having him care for our dogs. He asked great questions when he was unsure and to me that is the mark of a great person and a caring pet sitter! We will ask Ben back for sure!”
“Valerie was wonderful with my cat! My friend recommended her to me when I needed an overnight sitter at the last minute, and luckily Valerie was available. She was kind to work with and took notes on Momo’s care which I appreciated. My first experience on Rover was a good one because of her! 10/10 recommend”

About: I have grown up with pets my entire life and starting in grade school, I walked dogs and pet sit for families in the neighborhood. Just a lover of all animals 🤗🐾 I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule when it comes to a walk around the neighborhood or a check in with your pet. When checking in on your pets at home, I will always be cautious of keeping gates and doors closed and keeping them on their leash when gearing up for a walk ☺️
“Alex watched my dog overnight at my house while I was on a short work trip. I typically leave Oso with family when I have to go away, and last time I used a different sitter I had a bad experience, so I was hesitant to leave him overnight. But Alex was professional and I knew Oso was in good hands. Came home to a happy dog. Thank you!!”

Joanne is absolutely excellent! She is kind, communicative, and did a great job with our dog. She followed all care instructions and took excellent care of our dog while we were away. We got frequent updates and felt so at ease with her watching our dog. When we returned home, our dog seemed so happy, calm, and relaxed. An absolute pleasure to work with, we look forward to hiring Joanne again!

Kathleen is fantastic! She is communicative and really understands our dogs quirks. She is attentive to their needs and even reminded me about our dog's medication when I forgot to leave it out! She is our go-to when we need a dog sitter. Highly recommend. Thank you, Kathleen!

Shannon was great with our two chow chows. She even took the initiative to look up the chow chow personality so she was on top of everything! Shannon was able to get them inside from their invisible fence to head up to bed at a decent hour. All good with Shannon!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Norriton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Norriton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Norriton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
