She was fantastic with sticking to her specialized diet due to a kidney stone surgery and was cognizant of the heat, so would take Tot for longer walks post sunrise/sunset once it cooled off. Even better, she knew when Tottie “wasn’t feeling it,” and made sure she went home before even remotely approaching the point of overheating. She also played with Tot indoors when it was too hot outside and made sure she had many snuggles and kisses. Since I was several states away, Abby sent daily updates and photos of the two of them - now best pals - on various adventures or being homebodies. When it was time for me to come home, she left the house incredibly clean (far neater than I had left it!), and even made up the bed with clean sheets so that when arrived home (around 10 PM), I could just head to bed. She also went out of her way and purchased a trellis for my tomato vine, which had really blossomed while I was gone and had overrun what I had originally set up for it, thereby saving all the tomato’s! Andrew is an exceptional dog sitter and an outstanding professional. He stayed with our four dogs in July, no easy job given that two of them are under 2 years old! He handled and cared for them with expertise and warmth, and every one of the pups adored him.
