My family and I have been fostering for a non profit organization since 2015. With fosters the ages of 6 weeks to 14 years old. I have always been an animal lover. She provided excellent communication and lots of feedback through pictures and texts. It is incredibly difficult for me to be away from my kitty and she truly provided me the peace and happiness that I needed to be able to enjoy my vacation. We only recently moved to the area and therefore had no pet sitter connections or neighbors who could care for our cats during a quick Labor Day weekend trip. Rover and Mackenzie to the rescue! Her rates were the most reasonable, she lived close, and despite being a little newer to the platform it seems, she had some great reviews and I decided to take a shot. So glad I did as she was wonderful! She showed up exactly on time everyday, wrote great reports, snapped a few photos, and truly went above and beyond from cleaning up vomit (SORRY!) and cleaning all the feeding plates on the last day. We'll definitely hire her again in the future and recommend you take a shot as well!

What really stood out was how much quality time she spent with our cats and how genuinely she got to know their individual personalities. Rachel took excellent care of our two kitties while we went on a weeklong trip to California - she was fantastic! The communication was instant and she shared photo updates daily. She even went above and beyond pet sitting to notify us when the power in our downstairs room went out, watered our plants etc. This was our first time being away after we moved to a new house, so we were worried about how they would handle it. But when we got back, the boys seemed happy and weren’t anxious at all. Our shy kitty was even beginning to warm up to her, which speaks volumes - it usually takes him months to be comfortable around new people. He also gets angsty when we are gone for more than a couple days and spite pees after we return, however this time we had no accidents! Apart from that, she’s truly wonderful and a kind person. We’ll 100% be rebooking with her for future trips!
