I am a former owner of cats, dogs, guinea pig, and fish. I am on sabbatical currently from my social work position so I spend much of my day at home and am able to provide a lot of love and attention to your fur baby. Also in my household is my 14 year old animal loving daughter. I also have a 4 year old daughter who considers herself a “dog expert”. She does love to feed them, water them, make them do tricks for treats so possibly the next Cesar Mulan. Our dog, Nyck, who we share custody of with our former dog loving roommate comes over usually once a week to work on puppy training! He’s a fantastic dog. He’s fun, friendly and playful, although getting up in years he loves to eat and sleep these days. All members of our household who can be vaccinated, are vaccinated. I have been animal sitting since I was a young teenager, note I am originally from Iowa, and I watch dogs for 2 of my friends in the area. I am willing to accept your animals for over night care in my home. I am also willing to walk dogs out of your home or stay at your home for overnights. We would prefer small/medium dogs, less than 50 lbs unless they are a gentle, family friendly breed such as Golden’s or any sort of Doodles!!! We do not wish to take aggressive dogs or aggressive breads. I do require a meet and great prior to bookings for new customers, so that everyone can feel comfortable. Why I love dog sitting Everyone in our household has been a dog lover since we can remember. I have had several dogs and enjoy spending time with them and walking them. About my yard We do have a fenced yard that is very secure and we live on a dead end street, minimal traffic. We do go for several walks daily. My weekly routine is based on my animal care at that moment. I walk and care for dogs as needed. Outside of caring for dogs most of my responsibility revolves around getting my children to schools and activities, including one daughter playing travel volleyball which is most likely why some weekends are blacked out for me. I have a fully fenced and secure yard at the end of a dead end street. I do walk dogs as needed. I ask that dogs that use a crate at home bring them here and crate here as well, as it’s their comfort zone. I do not crate dogs unless they are crate trained. Dogs do not have to be crate trained to stay in my home. I provide at home care for all animals but I only board dogs in my home.
