“Gave him 5 stars because the app won’t let me give him 10 ⭐️! Communicates frequently, took of my our high energy dog, and kept the house clean!!! Jeffrey was the best dog watcher we’ve had!”

“Sarah was amazing. She is helpful, kind, and creative. My newly adopted dog is struggling with separation anxiety; knowing I could trust Sarah to keep him engaged and happy while I was out of the house was such a relief.”

“Angelica was great with our large, high-energy dog. She was in constant communication with us throughout the weekend, and took our dog on multiple long walks throughout the day. She is so nice and someone you want to leave your dog with! We will definitely book again, she took great care of our dog!!!”

“We absolutely loved having Ava watch our pups while we were gone for the day. She arrived on time (even with a last minute ask from us), sent lots of pictures and spoiled our pups with lots of love. 100% recommend Ava and we will use her pet sitting services again! Thanks Ava! :)”

About: I have cared for both small dogs and medium sized dogs. Have implemented special diets (Farmer's Dog) given medications through food or a treat. Assisted in foster care. Can follow leash and harness preferences and always have poop bags on the ready. I have slept beside puppies who are needy throughout the night. I am a full time K-12 art teacher so I would be available for any pet care services mostly on the weekends and few selected nights throughout the week. I would stay in the areas of the home that the pet is residing and or whichever areas that the client feels comfortable with. Example being the living room or dining room.
“Mikaela arrived on time to watch our two dogs and seemed to enjoy spending time with Ruby and Fergie. She sent a few photos, fed our dogs and gave medication to one. We would definitely book with Mikaela again.”

“Brea was hands down the best dog sitter we ever had on Rover. She stayed at our house for a week with our 3 year old boxer and really made our trip worry free. Flora was taken on daily walks, given her daily vitamins, and cared for. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter and will definitely try to book her in the future.”

“We had been looking for a dog sitter for our two dogs for a little while and couldn’t be happier with finding Ricky. From the first time that we met her, we knew she was the perfect choice for our dogs Tate and Penny. She took the time to come to our house for a meet and greet, and we spent so much time chatting about life and dogs, Tate and Penny and ourselves. Communications with her were very clear and timely, her pricing was very competitive, but more importantly was the way that she interacted with our dogs that made us feel so comfortable to let her stay in our home and spend the time watching our dogs. Both she and her fiancé, Joe know how to make the pups feel loved and provide the pets’ owners with the security that their animals are being taken care of safely. She provided us with photos daily. Ricky left our house very clean after spending the week here, and our dogs were clearly happy. We couldn’t be happier finding Ricky and Joe to help us when we needed them and we look forward to working with them in the future. We’d give them six stars if we could!!”

“Nico was amazing with our pups!! He took them for walks, played in the yard even bought them toys! he sent messages and pictures throughout his stay. my house was left in perfect condition; you couldn't tell anyone had been here! Nico was the best!!!”

“Bill was absolutely outstanding. He stayed at our place while we’re out of the country for a little over a week. He took incredible care of our two golden retrievers and sent many updates and pictures of them. He was prompt and took great care of our house while we were away. We will definitely be booking Bill again for his services!”

“Taylor saved the day by taking a last-minute booking request (in the middle of having floors replaced in the house). It was chaotic to say the least, but she was very flexible, communicative, and took great care of the dogs. I was given regular updates the whole time.”
“Wayne did an excellent job caring for our two dogs! Our girl is a little challenging and he handled her without issues. Our home was clean and respected and our mail inside. I hope to have Wayne watch our dogs again!”

“Elizabeth is great! We have two needy pets, including an old, anxious dog with mobility issues and other special needs. Elizabeth was perfect with administering medications and and keeping up with regular physical therapy exercises. We came home to a clean house and two well cared for (though possibly disappointed Elizabeth was gone) pets. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth if you need someone to watch pets in your home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Plymouth Valley
I am so glad we found Sara here on Rover. Our dog got along with her right away so we knew she was the right person for the job. Going on vacation and leaving your pet behind is always stressful but knowing Sara would be here to watch our dog with the experience and care she brings made that process much easier on us. I highly recommend her. We will definitely look to hire her again in the future!

We absolutely loved having Ava watch our pups while we were gone for the day. She arrived on time (even with a last minute ask from us), sent lots of pictures and spoiled our pups with lots of love. 100% recommend Ava and we will use her pet sitting services again! Thanks Ava! :)

Ash is an amazing human! I knew right away when I met her it would be a good fit for us and our boys. Upon returning home everything was in perfect order and the boys were more than taken care of. Will 1000% be booking again. Thanks again for your help and giving us peace of mind while away!!!!

Joanne took great care of my two cats! We recently moved and had to keep the cats separate and Joanne did a great job of meeting their needs and also giving them plenty of love and pets! She was extremely communicative and thorough. She took great care of our home as well and left it exactly as she found it, I would absolutely recommend Joanne!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carolynn. She stayed the weekend with our girls and gave us wonderful detailed updates and the best pictures. Our dogs are a pair of opposites - one a demanding diva, the other very relaxed and easy going and handled both with care. We felt so good being away and knowing they were in such great hands. Thank you again, Carolynn!

Absolutely best rating possible! Our baby is a lot of work and requires someone super capable of keeping our dog active and understanding his needs. She kept house clean, followed all tips, and was super communicative. Meechy was so happy to get snuggles and feel safe all week :)

Shannon was great with our two chow chows. She even took the initiative to look up the chow chow personality so she was on top of everything! Shannon was able to get them inside from their invisible fence to head up to bed at a decent hour. All good with Shannon!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Plymouth Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Plymouth Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Plymouth Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
