I currently work as a special education aide at a high school, so I have my summer off! I don't travel much in the summer and am very much a "home body". I am open to day/night visits and over night home stays.

I have grown up with dogs my whole life. My family has been rescuing dogs, mostly pitbulls, forever. My mom also volunteers at a nearby rescue that we occasionally foster from. I've recently found my love for cats when I moved in with my roommate, who owns 4 cats! At this point I have cared for animals of all sizes and ages. I am a true animal lover at heart, and plan to rescue as many animals as possible in the future.

Abby is a gem! She communicates beautifully and her updates are concise and informative. Our dog Pia gets the gulpies occasionally. Abby relayed that Pia was having occasionally gulping and that she was giving her ice cubes as instructed. What else? We asked if she could boil some chicken and rice, giving Pia small amounts. She did and within 24 hours, Pia was back to her old self. We were comforted knowing that our fur child was in such capable hands.
Abby has taken care of my dog, 4 cats, and turtle multiple times on short notice. She is very flexible and my animals took to her very easily. I have a German shepherd who can be apprehensive with new people, but he loves her energy and she is a constant contact for care taking of him. She listened to all instructions given and did extra by learning my animals routine to really adhere to their needs. She is always a first person I go to when I am traveling!
