About: I’ve been taking care of pets ever since I was a young girl and knew my life would be dedicated to them. I then became a vet tech in 2018 and have loved being able to take care of them medically as well. I have gained so much knowledge of healthcare and husbandry ranging from puppies/kittens to seniors of all kinds of breeds and personalities to give your fur baby the best. I’m very familiar with most health conditions and comfortable with all medications(oral/injection) I am also responsive and prepared when health concerns or even emergencies come up. I have my own vet tech kit to treat minor injuries and illnesses but will always seek the appropriate medical care if necessary.I am also happy to provide basic grooming like bathing brushing and even nail trims ( all if they are comfortable with it) free of charge if requested. Your pet will be in the most excellent hands, I will always do everything in my power to keep them safe happy and healthy and I will love spending time with them. I am very professional reliable and you can rest easy knowing your pets are in my care and I will always keep you updated. I cannot wait to meet you and your pets as they will be treated like my own ( royal treatment for sure 👑) I’m just taking relief shifts as a vet tech currently and have a flexible schedule for pet sitting. When I’m taking care of your pets they are my number one priority. I will always care for your pets as my own and will always do everything I can to make sure they are comfortable happy and safe. I spoil my senior dog Curley and I always do the same for you pups no doubt. I always check in for mental and physical wellness 24/7 and make adjustments as needed.
About: For as long as I can remember, animals have been a part of my life. Dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, sheep, horses, you name it, I’ve taken care of them. I’ve raised and trained puppies, cared for elderly pets and everything in between. Large or small, I love them all I am retired so my time is very flexible. From a short drop-in to check on your pet to a long- term house sitting assignment, my schedule is open. When caring for your pet in your home, you can count on me to respect your privacy and to diligently follow your instructions. Your pets needs are my top priority
About: Grew up with family dogs, and strategically made friends with cats so I could pretend they were mine. Currently I have a 7 year old goldendoodle who has taught me a TON about training dogs in the 6 years I've had him. Your good boy will enjoy every smell on our walk and get some (owner approved) treats along the way, and I'm happy to continue your work on any behaviors you're encouraging! My schedule is pretty much wide open for north county visits (McKinleyville and up) - feel free to reach out with same day requests! Further afield than that I may need some notice, but am happy to work something out! Just send me a message. I'm a pretty "safety first," cautious dog owner. I'll follow your instructions to the letter, and will err on the side of caution. I like to take the time to get to know your critters, and let them get to know me so that it's always exciting when I show up! For interested dog owners, I can facilitate a meet with my own dog for a double walk or a dog park playmate - after a meet and greet to make sure they get along.
“Chandi was wonderful. The communication was of upmost importance for me. Chandi was very responsive to my messages and kept me updated on how my fur babies were doing. I am very happy that I found her and I look forward to having her sit with my babies in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Halley took tremendous care of my little high energy guy for 4 days while I traveled for work. I’m forever grateful for the kindness, grace, and thoughtfulness she gave. I would supremely recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to request her again!”

“We had a last minute need for an in home pet sitter for our 1 year old BC, who has separation anxiety, and our 12 yo BC. Tyler came to our rescue and was incredibly professional, communicative, and knowledgeable about dogs with high needs. He immediately established a calm and comforting rapport with our young, anxious pup and provided wonderful care for her first full day alone with a stranger as well as our senior. Our girls had some complex needs regarding management and he followed all of our requests to ensure their safety and comfort. I would absolutely recommend Tyler for in home pet care. We look forward to using his services again in the future!”

“Alex stayed with our dog and two cats for almost a week. She was a fantastic communicator and we arrived home to a clean house and happy fur babies. Grateful to Alex and hoping she’ll pet sit for us in the future 🐾”

“Stari was amazing with our dogs. We have one difficult dog and Stari was great with her. She stayed and watched our house, took the dogs out on walks around the neighborhood and to the beach, and most importantly took really good care of our dogs. She sent photos and they were always content and happy! I would highly recommend her to watch your pets! Thanks Stari”
“Bailey watched our border collie/heeler mix Huck for 10 days and we were very happy with our experience with her. She provided updates on their activities, followed our written instructions, and we came home to a healthy and happy pup and a clean house! We definitely recommend Bailey as a sitter.”

About: Animals have always brought me a lot of joy. I grew up with and have taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, birds, horses, reptiles, and amphibians, so I am well acquainted with many types of creatures! I have cared for newborn kittens, as well as senior dogs and cats. Due to my background as a veterinary technician and wildlife caretaker, I am very comfortable with animals who require medical care or have higher needs in general. I am familiar with giving medications, shots, cleaning and grooming, and overall behavior indicators of well-being. I also assisted in surgeries, where I prepped the supplies, took vitals, and monitored the pet's health while under anesthesia. While I hope no family has to endure the hardship that comes with an ill or elderly pet, it does happen. Whether you are planning a trip away or just need some assistance, I would be happy to care for your fur baby and hope to meet them soon. I currently have a cat and three chickens who I love a lot. So unfortunately, I cannot board any pets at my home. I have a remote job, so am flexible with home stays, walks, feeding schedules, and anything else to keep your friend happy. I always first consider the pets' and my safety. In my own home, I have spent the last 4 years helping my cat overcome her traumatic past through patience and routine. I give her lots of treats and mental stimulation, such as finding new items for her to bat around and sit on. We also have chickens, which have a fully fenced backyard so they can roam. I also love spoiling them with watermelon, apples, and mealworms!

“Our shy Nala took to Jessica immediately! Jessica truly loves dogs and they love her. She not only gave Nala the attention and hugs Nala needed for our first separation, but even did a little training to help break her of her jumping habit. We are very happy we have found her.”

“Adrien did a great job for us today! She worked with our 3 month old puppy. He was as happy as ever when we got home. She also offered us tips and suggestions for puppy training that we appreciated. Definitely would recommend her!!”

“Yliana was AMAZING!!! She updated us with pictures/videos of my girls often. We could tell our girls were comfortable with her right away- which is not usually the case for one of my girls as she’s very timid. This gave us such peace of mind & we were so grateful for that! While we missed our girls tons, we didn’t worry at all & we were able to enjoy our vacay! We will Definitely keep Yliana in mind for future sittings & you should too!!!!! 😋”

“Jolie took amazing care of our pup Fern while we were away. She shared daily pictures and little updates, which was so reassuring to me. I know Fern got lots of exercise, quality time and attention, and continuity of routines. I was confident and comfortable with Jolie’s attention to detail administering medicine, and was appreciative of Jolie checking in for questions we didn’t think to go over ahead of time for rules/expectations that she wanted to be mindful of. Jolie left our home clean and well taken care of, too. I would highly recommend Jolie and would book with her again myself in a heartbeat.”

About: I have over four years of experience working at a doggie daycare, where I've cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. Through this experience, I've developed a strong understanding of dog behavior, body language, and common health concerns. I have experience working with puppies, senior dogs, reactive dogs, and dogs with special medical needs, including administering medications and monitoring for signs of illness or discomfort. Caring for animals is my passion, and I take pride in providing patient, attentive, and individualized care for every pet. Whether it's helping a puppy learn good habits, making sure a senior dog is comfortable, or giving extra attention to a nervous or reactive dog, I always prioritize each animal's safety and well-being. I am currently working on weekends, but I am available throughout the week. I am happy to care for your pet mornings, afternoons, and nights. I believe in providing a safe, enriching environment where dogs can be dogs. I love letting dogs explore on walks, sniff to their heart's content, play, and enjoy new experiences while always prioritizing their safety and comfort. I also understand that every dog is different; some thrive with more freedom, while others need structure, routine, and reinforcement of their training. I take the time to learn each pet's needs and follow the owner's preferences to ensure consistency, trust, and a positive experience for both the pet and their family.

About: I am a long time animal lover and have been working in pet care for over 25 years professionally. I have ample experience with dog walking and overnight pet sitting. I ran my own dog walking business as a sole proprietor for many years, and also have worked as an independent contractor for other dog walking & pet sitting companies. In the past, I've cared for many different animals of varying ages and breeds; from puppies and kittens to seniors. I have plenty of experience administering medication for animals who need it, whether it be ear/eye drops, pills, and insulin injections. I'm responsible, caring, and punctual, and I genuinely care about providing great service to you and your pet. I am looking forward to meeting your furry (or scaly) friend! My schedule is fairly flexible and I will accept bookings Mon-Sun from 8am to 5pm. I prefer to do an free consultation with your dog before you book your first walk. FAQs for House Sitting - Trinidad
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 160 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Trinidad. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Trinidad walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Trinidad maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Trinidad choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
