About: Having had pets my entire life, I have learned many aspects to animal caregiving and I guarantee to be a clear and communicative caregiver to your pets! I am very physically active, and enjoy walking dogs, playing, and spending time outside in all types of weather! If your pet needs a more mellow approach, I am also happy to provide calm and relaxing check-ins for shy or senior pets. I have had cats my entire life, and currently am taking care of my landlord's cats long term... so I am not afraid of different cat personalities and will gladly discuss your pet's individual needs for each visit. I guarantee to provide safe, loving, and attentive care to your pets and discuss all needs to provide peace of mind while you are away! I work part-time, with a lot of flexibility. Though my schedule varies, I am glad to work odd hours and I promise to discuss any needs or specific things you may need during my visit time. I also guarantee committed and reliable times when scheduling is decided upon. Safety is my main priority when taking care of your pets, to provide you peace of mind and make sure that your pets are well taken care of. I am happy to crate your dog if needed, do house checks for any safety concerns, and send updates regarding their food/water/exercise and wellbeing so you can rest assured they are taken care of!

About: Grew up with family dogs, and strategically made friends with cats so I could pretend they were mine. Currently I have a 7 year old goldendoodle who has taught me a TON about training dogs in the 6 years I've had him. Your good boy will enjoy every smell on our walk and get some (owner approved) treats along the way, and I'm happy to continue your work on any behaviors you're encouraging! My schedule is pretty much wide open for north county visits (McKinleyville and up) - feel free to reach out with same day requests! Further afield than that I may need some notice, but am happy to work something out! Just send me a message. I'm a pretty "safety first," cautious dog owner. I'll follow your instructions to the letter, and will err on the side of caution. I like to take the time to get to know your critters, and let them get to know me so that it's always exciting when I show up! For interested dog owners, I can facilitate a meet with my own dog for a double walk or a dog park playmate - after a meet and greet to make sure they get along.

I ran my own dog walking business as a sole proprietor for many years, and also have worked as an independent contractor for other dog walking & pet sitting companies. I have plenty of experience administering medication for animals who need it, whether it be ear/eye drops, pills, and insulin injections. About: I’ve been taking care of pets ever since I was a young girl and knew my life would be dedicated to them. I then became a vet tech in 2018 and have loved being able to take care of them medically as well. I have gained so much knowledge of healthcare and husbandry ranging from puppies/kittens to seniors of all kinds of breeds and personalities to give your fur baby the best. I’m very familiar with most health conditions and comfortable with all medications(oral/injection) I am also responsive and prepared when health concerns or even emergencies come up. I have my own vet tech kit to treat minor injuries and illnesses but will always seek the appropriate medical care if necessary.I am also happy to provide basic grooming like bathing brushing and even nail trims ( all if they are comfortable with it) free of charge if requested. Your pet will be in the most excellent hands, I will always do everything in my power to keep them safe happy and healthy and I will love spending time with them. I am very professional reliable and you can rest easy knowing your pets are in my care and I will always keep you updated. I cannot wait to meet you and your pets as they will be treated like my own ( royal treatment for sure 👑) I’m just taking relief shifts as a vet tech currently and have a flexible schedule for pet sitting. About: I started pet-sitting in my adolescence and have continued pet-sitting for friends, family, neighbors, and roommates for over twenty years. I've cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, lizards, snakes, fish, rabbits, and rodents. I've administered medication, cared for newborn animals, and have even had to safely evacuate two dogs and two kittens from a home this past summer where I was pet-sitting due to wildfire. About: I've had animals all of my life. My parents kept getting me more animals because they said as long I was taking good care of them, then I could get more. I would keep journals about their well being( Funny, I know) The point is, I love animals. I have had dogs,puppies, cats, lizards, hamsters, chickens, horses, ferrets, and chameleons, I have 2 dogs of my own and they are my children. It's of the utmost importance to me that any animal under my care feels very loved, and taken care of. I know it can be traumatic being away from your animal, and it can create anxiety. I will do my best to make sure your baby is feeling good and happy! I currently make my own schedule and own my own massage therapy business. The further in advance I know about the sitting job, the more of a chance I will have of being able to clear my schedule for it. My schedule is pretty flexible! I will follow the directions you give me to a T. I know our animals get used to routine, so I will do my best not to disrupt that routine. I am hands on, and want to make sure any animal I care for feels loved and paid attention to.

About: I had a small dog for over 10 years who was a beloved member of our family. She passed this previous winter and I wasn't able to be there because I was away at university. I want to make sure other pet parents feel secure that someone is there who genuinely cares for their pet. I also have two cats and a blue-tongued skink at my other house in southern California, and I've also had a scorpion and vinegaroon. I have a snake here with me in Arcata and I've cared for snakes since I was a young child. I've also petsat a bearded dragon. Cats and dogs are both fond of me, but I'm capable of caring for unique types of pets, as well! I'll be in Arcata the entire summer except for a week in early June, so if your usual university student sitter isn't around, I will be! I don't currently have a full-time job over the summer nor over the school year, so I'll be free to spend as much time with your pet as you desire or need. I don't have a yard, but if you need your pet to get some fresh air, I'm willing to take them wherever! I have a car that can fit your best friend if they like the beach, or the woods, or another fun spot that'll help them get exercise and stimulation while you're away.

About: Much of my animal experience comes from not only owning but also veterinary experience, grooming, daycare and volunteer work!
