About: Grew up with family dogs, and strategically made friends with cats so I could pretend they were mine. Currently I have a 7 year old goldendoodle who has taught me a TON about training dogs in the 6 years I've had him. Your good boy will enjoy every smell on our walk and get some (owner approved) treats along the way, and I'm happy to continue your work on any behaviors you're encouraging! My schedule is pretty much wide open for north county visits (McKinleyville and up) - feel free to reach out with same day requests! Further afield than that I may need some notice, but am happy to work something out! Just send me a message. I'm a pretty "safety first," cautious dog owner. I'll follow your instructions to the letter, and will err on the side of caution. I like to take the time to get to know your critters, and let them get to know me so that it's always exciting when I show up! For interested dog owners, I can facilitate a meet with my own dog for a double walk or a dog park playmate - after a meet and greet to make sure they get along.

About: I love taking long walks in the woods, bike riding, and running with pups! If your dog needs a lil extra energy release, (or not) I'm your person. I have no other pets, and will give your dog the attention they deserve. I work in the evenings, so can walk from 10AM-4:00PM WED/THURS/FRI. I always walk anyway, or go for a run, so incorporating a furry friend seems perfect. I have a new(er) pickup truck, that has a plush dog bed in the back for your critter. If they have car-anxiety, I've got a blanket in the cab for them.

About: I am graduating college in May and I love animals and I have house sat a variety of dogs and cats before, and have also taken care of a couple guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, and a pig before. I love to getting to know and taking care of pets! I have loved dogs all my life, my first word was dog! I have owned a dog my whole life and I currently have a dog named Buster who is a 10 year old Jack Russell chihuahua mix who likes to make me carry him while out on a walk. I would love to get the chance to hang out and play with some dogs! I became a first time cat owner in November of 2020 when a cat showed up in my yard. He showed up in a bit of a sorry state but with some visits to the vet, time, and care he has become a happy and playful member of my family. His name is Goosetofur Toast Man, or Goose for short, and I have enjoyed being a cat owner more than I could have imagined! I have been pet sitting since I was in high school and I have watched over 40 different pets. My availability is very open and flexible, I will be available for the majority of the day on most days this summer. I would need to potentially be out for a few hours at a time for things like meetings for a local camp I volunteer at or to run errands. I will enjoy spending time with your pet if they are active and want to go out on long walks or hikes, or if they are a bit of a couch potato I will have a great time curling up with them on the couch. I am observant and care deeply about the wellbeing of the pets I watch and make sure to notify and come up with a plan with owners if I notice any issues with a pet.

About: I always had big dogs growing up, standard poodles very active… and I have had my own dogs for 17 years. I love long walks and playful activity and attending to their needs. I am not currently working and Looking for more activity and I have the weekends free for the next few months and would love to fill time with your dog~ Calypso is pretty mellow at home, she loves being off leash and getting exercise. She is good on the beach or with leashes in city walks. We also play with toys and is ball focused. She loves doggy companions as her sister passed 2 years ago and I think she misses having dog friends. We go to the dog park almost everyday, she enjoying playing fetch…. We also like to go to the beach for long walks by the waves. I care for pets like they are my kids. Lots of attention and belly rubs. I have a fenced yard so the dogs have plenty of access to the backyard and time to be inside and outside through out the day.

I have been around all types of animals for most of my life-from horses to geckos-and have house sit and pet sit for several years now. You can usually find me with a good book and a cup of tea. It was ultimately a miscommunication and an error and I would never neglect or mistreat anyone’s pet under my care. I’m currently working part time and and pursuing my college degree online so I will have ample time for your pets. I unfortunately cannot own any pets of my own at the moment due to being a student, so I am excited to give your pets all my pent up pet love. I started watching neighbors fish or small animals and over the years have grown into house/pet sitting for longer periods of time. I have taken care of dogs and cats for a week at a time, giving ample play time, walks, bathroom breaks, and adhering to food schedules accordingly.

About: I had a small dog for over 10 years who was a beloved member of our family. She passed this previous winter and I wasn't able to be there because I was away at university. I want to make sure other pet parents feel secure that someone is there who genuinely cares for their pet. I also have two cats and a blue-tongued skink at my other house in southern California, and I've also had a scorpion and vinegaroon. I have a snake here with me in Arcata and I've cared for snakes since I was a young child. I've also petsat a bearded dragon. Cats and dogs are both fond of me, but I'm capable of caring for unique types of pets, as well! I'll be in Arcata the entire summer except for a week in early June, so if your usual university student sitter isn't around, I will be! I don't currently have a full-time job over the summer nor over the school year, so I'll be free to spend as much time with your pet as you desire or need. I don't have a yard, but if you need your pet to get some fresh air, I'm willing to take them wherever! I have a car that can fit your best friend if they like the beach, or the woods, or another fun spot that'll help them get exercise and stimulation while you're away.

About: I have many great references for house sitting. I can accommodate dogs of all life stages as well as dogs with special needs or diets. I would be happy to send you photos of your dog during their stay. I am open to negotiations on rates if you have a special circumstance you would like to discuss. I can also provide housekeeping. If I am at your home for more than 3 days I will typically do a clean for no charge. I charge an hourly rate to clean otherwise and can provide references if there are any chores you would like me to handle while you are away. I am a trusted licensed Realtor. My schedule is somewhat flexible. I can accommodate pick up or drop off. Let me know your situation and I can find the best way to work with you. About: I own a 7 acre property that is a short drive up Fickle Hill Rd in Arcata! It includes a private trail with access to the community forest and a very large fenced in yard. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd (Sabine) who is very well trained and LOVES to play with other dogs. I’ve been working with animals my entire life but started officially dog sitting and walking about 10 years ago! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities and feel comfortable and confident in my care abilities. Locally I have done in home care both long term and short term. Now that I have this large property I would like to do more of a doggy day care! I am capable of providing training, grooming, as well as daily exercise and enrichment activities! I am free Monday - Thursday every week as I work from home as a ceramic artist. On the weekends (Friday - Sunday) I work as a waitress. I offer care from my home where I have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. As well as a large dog friendly home for those rainy days. All plants and trees on the property are dog safe! I also have a private trail that is connected to the community forest trails where I take Sabine (my dog) for daily walks. Sabine also loves the beach so we do take weekly trips out to the dunes in Samoa! I’m a dog lover and feel that I am very attuned to understanding the way they communicate. About: Iv'e had and taken care of pets my whole life. At one point, I had over 10 pets including chickens, dogs, cats, hamsters, hermit crabs, fish, etc. I honestly could't imagine my life without these cuties. As of right now, I have a very open schedule besides from 9AM-12PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when I have classes at College of San Mateo. I am available early in the mornings, throughout the afternoon, evenings, and even overnight if needed :) I make sure all pets are in a safe environment with safety hazards out of reach and I am fully aware of foods that are toxic to certain animals. I will follow any special safety instructions provided by the owner. If I’m in a client’s home, I make sure doors and gates are properly secured and always supervise pets when necessary. I build trust with both pets and owners by maintaining open communication, providing regular updates, and respecting the pet’s routines. I understand that pets may feel anxious in new environments, so I take the time to earn their trust with patience, positive reinforcement, and gentle interactions. When i'm at a clients home, I strive to create a calm and comfortable environment. This includes providing a clean space, fresh water, appropriate exercise, and plenty of love. About: My name is Bree, I am currently a zoology major at cal poly Humboldt. All my life I have been surrounded by animals (dogs, cats and everything inbetween!). I have extensive experience with all kinds of animals, I worked in a veterinary office for a year and volunteered at the local cat shelter in my hometown for two years. I grew up with two disabled pups, so I’m used to giving pets medication. I’m planning on working part time! Ideally I will only work Three days a week (Tuesdays, wednesdays and Thursdays). However, I can occasionally work weekends if I am contacted prior. I am open to working mornings, afternoons and sometimes nights. I’m pretty much open to anything! I currently own many pets, so I’m more inclined to work at someone else’s home. I love animals and if I were to babysit your pet I’ll spend all the time I can with them while also not smothering them with my attention.
