Tyler came to our rescue and was incredibly professional, communicative, and knowledgeable about dogs with high needs. He immediately established a calm and comforting rapport with our young, anxious pup and provided wonderful care for her first full day alone with a stranger as well as our senior. Our girls had some complex needs regarding management and he followed all of our requests to ensure their safety and comfort. I would absolutely recommend Tyler for in home pet care. About: I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as animals that take daily medication. I’m very good when it comes to applying the owners needs with consistency and lots of attention for their pets. I babysit part time and I have dog sitting clients outside of Rover as well. My schedule is very flexible and so it’s easier for me to meet new clients and their pets! I always make sure to ask my clients if there’s any additional info that I need to know. I’m a very aware and attentive person, that’s why I keep a good eye on the pets body language and everyday needs. Keeping up with their schedule is another important detail to me.

I’ve raised and trained puppies, cared for elderly pets and everything in between. Large or small, I love them all I am retired so my time is very flexible. About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for dogs that can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I'm also totally respectful of animals who do need time to get to know new people and always meet them where they're at, so more than welcome to accommodate those who need more introduction time. I've had dogs in the family my whole life, and have lived with many cats as roommates, and I've loved them all. I've done extensive house sitting everywhere from big cities to rural areas, for periods of time as long as two months, caring for animals as well as the house and surrounding property. My schedule is very flexible so I can make sure I have plenty of time to give my full attention to your animal friends, I live in a sweet quiet neighborhood in Arcata near the bottoms that's great for regular walks, and I have a car and am happy to take pups out on more special adventures too! I always check in about what's best for each dog, and can tailor care around what their usual schedule is with walks and feeding, what kinds of play they like best, and any training routines I can help reinforce during our time together.

“Jolie has given us so much joy and relief as our dogs really love her. But this trip she recognized a serious illness in our 14 y.o. Jack Russell terrier, and while we were out of town, arranged for veterinary care. The diagnosis was pancreatitis, and Bella 4 days in the clinic, getting hydration and IV meds, but she rallied and is now at home. So, added to all of Jolie's other attributes, I can celebrate her great judgment! She is a life-saver...”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. Ever since I was a kid, I was jumping up to wash the dogs, train the dogs, walk the dogs- everything! I’m a full time college student. During the day, I will need to attend class. I also attend Natural Resources club on Saturday mornings. However, I am fully available during the rest of the week! I treat all pets with respect and kindness. I’ve had reactive dogs and extremely friendly dogs, so I’m well versed in any reactions pets may have to me. I can crate dogs, feed dogs, play with dogs, walk them, and even bathe them if needed!

We also have a cat of advanced age, we were worried about her and finally 2 cats who are sneaky and will dart out if you're not paying attention. Happily all 4 animals are happy and unstressed. They were happy to see us of course but overall, they didn't have too much stress. Finally, our home was still neat and clean when we got home. Halley was very conscientious, she left our home as neat as she found it. There was a snafu but Halley managed to deal with it and get on with things. I would be happy to recommend her to others and if we ever need to go out of town again, Halley is who I would ask to care for my home and my animals.”

About: I am a 26 year old graduate student attending Cal Poly Humboldt. I have always loved animals from a very young age and have owned a variety of animals since I was a child that include; mice, snakes, hamsters, dogs, and cats. I also have experience dog-sitting and cat-sitting for extended periods of time. I love animals and am excited to meet your furry/non-furry family members.
