When it comes to your pet, there is nothing more nerve-wracking than wondering if they are in trusted hands. As a life-long animal owner and lover, I know the peace of mind that my pet will be safe and happy without me is important. Before I book any service through Rover I offer a complimentary meet and greet where I will come to you and your pet and introduce myself. I love to meet my clients before the service so we can familiarize ourselves with the routine and go over any precious details. During your pets stay with me, my lines of communication are open at all times. Any time you desire a check in or update, I am happy to oblige.

A typical day
A typical day for a dog that I am watching starts with an early morning walk into town to get the juices flowing. My favorite place to hike dogs is the Arcata Community Forest. Other activities may include a game of fetch in the backyard, a trip to the beach, and a nap in the house while i paint. Throughout the day I love taking photos of your pet to keep you updated. I am very well-organized when it comes to executing feeding or administering medication on schedule. I am on time to my appointments and pride myself on being the best sitter possible.

Hello! My name is Halley and I am an experienced pet care specialist. I have 10 years of experience working professionally with animals in shelters, boarding facilities, and client homes. My services include walks, day-visits, overnight stays, house-sitting, grooming services, pet portraits, and drop-ins! Dogs, cats, birds, lizards, turtles, rats, I am prepared to care for almost any type of animal. I am joining Rover to supplement my own growing art business. I live conviniently in downtown Arcata, CA, close enough to take your dog to the beach, the marsh, or the community forest. While your pet is with me you will receive lots of pictures and updates to assure you that they are happy and safe. I take requests day- of and have flexible hours. My experience pet sitting at a client's home is exstensive. I am well-versed in taking care of your pet and your home while you are away. Long-term pet-sitting is available upon negotiation. When I am providing overnight visits at a client's home, I arrive no later than 5:30 pm (or earlier if scheduled) and stay until 10 am the next morning. I have a strict "no guest" policy in your home while I am stewarding the property. A morning and night walk are included in my overnight services and all of my services come with updates at any frequency that eases your mind. I have an amazing track record and I promise you will be satisfied with my attention to detail and level of care. Cheers!

Halley was so wonderful! She stayed with our tripod jazz all day and sent so many photos. She made sure to get him the right amount of exercise and take him on beautiful walks in his stroller. She arrived on time and was so caring. We will definitely hire her again! Jazz approved!
Halley was amazing! She took excellent care of our girl and provided us with photos and videos twice a day. Huge treat. Millie was returned bathed and happy. It was obvious that she was loved and well cared for. We couldn't ask for anything more.
My dogs seemed happy & content while staying 2 nights with Halley. She sent lots of photos of them playing, resting, and on walks. She’ll be the one I contact if I need a sitter again!
