Celia was thoughtful, asked thorough questions in preparation, was mindful of the space, and very caring and conscientious for my dog and home while I was away. She went above and beyond! Both Velma and I would be delighted to work with her again.

Alonzo took such great care of Ghost and Scooby. They both seemed so happy and well rested when I got back. I forgot their toys, but Alonzo tired them out and kept them entertained. He also sent photos often which made the experience even better. He did such a great job ?

We have worked with Junny and Jomhel multiple times now and they are wonderful. Junny communicated with us primarily and is always willing to do a call or visit before our stay to assure they are prepared. One of our dogs has epilepsy and requires a very strict medication regimen (which is relatively new) and Junny reached out to warn us that his new medication was running low, even picking up a refill while we were away. We have always felt completely at ease leaving our animals in their care. Very trustworthy, reliable, and respectful of our home. Big thanks to them for their help and wonderful care of our dogs.

About: With years of hands on experience working and volunteering at animal shelters since high school, I bring a deep understanding of pet care and behavior to every sitting experience. I’ve had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of animals, which has given me the skills to adapt to the unique needs of every pet. Currently, I share my home with Sally, a 5-year-old Domestic Short Hair tabby who I adopted a few months ago. She is the light of my life and reminds me daily of the importance of love, patience, and attentive care when it comes to our furry companions. Special Skills • Shelter Experience: Years of volunteer and work experience in shelters have equipped me to handle animals with diverse backgrounds and needs, from shy rescues to high-energy pets. • Multi-Species Expertise: Having cared for a variety of pets, I am comfortable with dogs, cats, and more exotic companions. • Behavioral Insight: Skilled in understanding and managing pet behaviors, including those of rescues or pets with anxiety. • Personalized Care: I believe every pet deserves individualized attention and make it my priority to ensure they feel loved and secure. I treat every pet I care for as if they were my own, providing the same love and attention I give to my dear Sally. With me, your pet will receive exceptional care and companionship. I am currently a very recent college graduate student who has full availability on the weekends and weekday availability depending on the time(s) requested. My schedule currently consist of work 5 days a week (any changes in my schedule will be noted). When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I respect their space and follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any special needs or medications. I ensure your home remains tidy and secure during my visits and keep you updated with regular messages or photos to provide peace of mind. Whether it’s spending extra time playing with an energetic pet or offering a calm, reassuring presence for a shy one, I adapt my approach to suit their personality and preferences.

Tyler watched our two Beagles for the day - I have only great things to say and highly recommend his service! He was very accommodating, professional, and responsible. Tyler took the extra time to understand their needs and was actively responsive to our check ins during the stay for peace of mind :) Additionally, he took great care of the house in terms of cleaning up after himself and the dogs. Thank you so much again, Tyler. 10/10 would hire again. Our little family appreciates you! ❤️

We were lucky enough to book Alex for two weekends in July! Having consistent care for our pup, who struggles with some separation anxiety, was a huge relief. Alex was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about our dog. We came home to a happy pup and a well-cared-for house. Highly recommend!

Skylar was great watching our two large male dogs overnight in our home. She came over to learn our routines and with her background being raised with large dogs, we felt comforted knowing she was familiar ready to handle them. She was great about communicating proactively while she was here, she was respectful of our home. We would recommend Skylar if you are needing a pet sitter while tou are out of town. Thank you Skylar!

About: I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as animals that take daily medication. I’m very good when it comes to applying the owners needs with consistency and lots of attention for their pets. I babysit part time and I have dog sitting clients outside of Rover as well. My schedule is very flexible and so it’s easier for me to meet new clients and their pets! I always make sure to ask my clients if there’s any additional info that I need to know. I’m a very aware and attentive person, that’s why I keep a good eye on the pets body language and everyday needs. Keeping up with their schedule is another important detail to me.

Scott took excellent care of our adorable but stubborn young Yorkie “Milo” while we travelled to England for about 2 weeks. Upon return Milo looked at me as if to ask, “Who are you? You’re vaguely familiar but I can’t quite remember.” But then he burst into squeals of joy, jumping up and down. To us, this kind of greeting when arriving back home is good testimony confirming Milo’s happiness with Scott as his career. Scott emphasized the importance of Milo eating actual doggy food and using his doggy door to go “outside potty” Outside Potty has been a dim concept to Milo until now. Scott swears Milo had no accidents when we were away. The way he sniffs the rush woven containers in the living room make me doubt that some BUT he has been NOTICEABLY better about his potty training these last few days than before the trip. Without leaving full written pet and house instructions for Scott before we left as we should have and intended, Scott did a remarkable job caring for Milo, emphasizing his training and exercise needs and safeguarding our home. Scott is always prompt, fantastically pleasant, clever and appears extremely caring to his charge. He always wears a smile, communicates well and is very easy to deal with. Without hesitation we’d be eager and happy to employ Scott’s services again. We felt our precious dog child was in safe, caring and attentive hands as was our property as well. Finding Rover and Scott has been a super experience for our family.

I have also helped a handful of wild animals heal and thrive, such as bats, rats, and opossums. Just contact me and I'll be there. :) I currently have a fenced in backyard for my dogs to play in and explore. They also get at least one walk a day. Melanie instantly fell in love with both of our dogs. Walter, one of our dogs, is a reluctant eater, and Melanie was determined to help him with that. She sent us a video of her hand feeding him. They both clearly enjoyed the process. She is extraordinarily good about staying in touch with what's happening, and we appreciated the updates and photos of our happy dogs while we were away. Melanie is exceptionally fine-tuned to this work, and we will always choose her for our dogs. She did such a great job that we included a large tip.

FAQs for House Sitting - Manila

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 161 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Manila. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Manila walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Manila maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Manila choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
