“We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Junny and Johmel. Junny did a meet-and-greet before our trip, asked thoughtful and thorough questions, and followed all of our instructions perfectly. We had them watch our two large pitbulls in our home while we were on a trip for 4 nights. We received amazing photos and detailed updates twice a day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They checked in proactively with any pertinent details, were flexible and accommodating with our flights in case of delays, and left our home exceptionally clean. We couldn’t have asked for better care for our dogs—highly recommend and we would absolutely use them again!”

I'll do an initial meeting in your home to make sure your dog(s) are comfortable with me in their territory, and we'll discuss all your pets needs while I socialize with them! I never rush into a greeting with a pet because I want them to know they can trust me to respect the boundaries they've set and I won't force interactions. I'm very careful to respect house rules set by the pet owner and maintain a clean environment for the animals to relax in comfortably.

About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I'm also totally respectful of animals who do need time to get to know new people and always meet them where they're at, so more than welcome to accommodate those who need more introduction time. I've had dogs in the family my whole life, and have lived with many cats as roommates, and I've loved them all. I've done extensive house sitting everywhere from big cities to rural areas, for periods of time as long as two months, caring for animals as well as the house and surrounding property. My schedule is very flexible so I can make sure I have plenty of time to give my full attention to your animal friends, I live in a sweet quiet neighborhood in Arcata near the bottoms that's great for regular walks, and I have a car and am happy to take pups out on more special adventures too! I always check in about what's best for each dog, and can tailor care around what their usual schedule is with walks and feeding, what kinds of play they like best, and any training routines I can help reinforce during our time together. I make sure to take extra care with reactive dogs and avoid any situations that may trigger them as best as possible.

About: I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, horses, and cattle, and my boyfriend who I live with has had dogs his whole life. We love dogs of all size and ages and hope to adopt more in the future. Our schedules line up to where someone would be home with your pup 95% of the time! We offer daily walks and adventures if that’s what your pup needs as well, and lots of toys of course. We have a large fenced yard that your pup can play and run around in. We have a dog as well that they can play with outside or inside. We have crate that your pup can use if that’s what they need.

Even in the rain, she took him on walks, to play fetch, and played a lot of mental exercises inside.
