About: I have worked and volunteered in animal care my entire life! I was a Senior Animal Care Lead at an animal rescue where my duties were to be directly in charge of 30+ dogs and cats. I have worked with every kind of pet scenario in many different environments, including: Senior animals, Special-needs pets, Behavioral cases, Medical Emergencies, and many more! About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I'm also totally respectful of animals who do need time to get to know new people and always meet them where they're at, so more than welcome to accommodate those who need more introduction time. I've had dogs in the family my whole life, and have lived with many cats as roommates, and I've loved them all. I've done extensive house sitting everywhere from big cities to rural areas, for periods of time as long as two months, caring for animals as well as the house and surrounding property. My schedule is very flexible so I can make sure I have plenty of time to give my full attention to your animal friends, I live in a sweet quiet neighborhood in Arcata near the bottoms that's great for regular walks, and I have a car and am happy to take pups out on more special adventures too! I always check in about what's best for each dog, and can tailor care around what their usual schedule is with walks and feeding, what kinds of play they like best, and any training routines I can help reinforce during our time together. I make sure to take extra care with reactive dogs and avoid any situations that may trigger them as best as possible.

About: I grew up with and have taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, birds, horses, reptiles, and amphibians, so I am well acquainted with many types of creatures! I was also a veterinary technician and wildlife caretaker, so am familiar with giving medications, shots, cleaning and grooming, and overall behavior indicators of wellbeing. I give her lots of treats and mental stimulation, such as finding new items for her to bat around and sit on. We also have chickens, which have a fully fenced backyard so they can roam. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. Ever since I was a kid, I was jumping up to wash the dogs, train the dogs, walk the dogs- everything! I’m a full time college student. During the day, I will need to attend class. I also attend Natural Resources club on Saturday mornings. However, I am fully available during the rest of the week! I treat all pets with respect and kindness. I’ve had reactive dogs and extremely friendly dogs, so I’m well versed in any reactions pets may have to me. Jolie has given us so much joy and relief as our dogs really love her. But this trip she recognized a serious illness in our 14 y.o. Jack Russell terrier, and while we were out of town, arranged for veterinary care. The diagnosis was pancreatitis, and Bella 4 days in the clinic, getting hydration and IV meds, but she rallied and is now at home. So, added to all of Jolie's other attributes, I can celebrate her great judgment! She is a life-saver...
Emilee was the best! We felt good about leaving our dog with her and knew he would be in good hands. She’s very conscientious and responds quickly. Ingrid is a fabulous sitter! We have a 5 month old puppy who needs a lot of help with socializing, and Ingris was super helpful. She brought puppies and dogs from her friend and family pack, and it helped our puppy so much. I could tell as soon as she walked in the door that she knew how to handle our sweet, but reactive baby. She also did great with our 4 year-old Doodle.
