“Absolutely fabulous! I've been completely scattered and had an emergency; Whitney was able to take my booking last minute and was extremely gracious. She sent me the cutest video of my pup, too! 10/10 recommend.”

“Neil and Mariah both took such great care of Goose :) they sent me pictures and videos of him to show me he was fitting in really well with their little pack of pups. Goose is high energy, so I’m always nervous to leave him, but they helped me feel at ease leaving him with them, I definitely recommend them!”

“I can't recommend Jacquelyn enough! My senior pup was injured just prior to her stay and had to be given medication and be on restricted movement. Jacquelyn asked questions as needed and provided daily updates. The home itself is really calming, which I'm sure Gertie appreciated. Overall great experience.”

About: I’ve dog sat for about 10 different families over the past 10 years. From small dogs like chihuahuas to large breeds like mastiffs. I also watched the most interesting bengal cat! For many years I babysat children and cared for pets simultaneously. I was raised in an animal loving family, most nights I had a dog at the foot of my bed or a cat underneath it. I understand that pets are family and no one knows your pet like you. I am detail oriented and high energy. I’m am currently a student at Cal Poly Humboldt. I am a child development major. I took a step back from my work with early education to finish a few core classes. This makes my schedule quite open! I have a fully fenced yard with an extra high fence. It is mostly grass with small concrete pathway. I am never in school longer than 3 hours. I live in a quiet, pet friendly neighborhood.
“My dogs were comfortable with Jessie and I appreciated her flexibly about drop off and pick up times. Her photos and welfare updates were great especially since this was my first time leaving my girls overnight for two nights. I would want Jessie’s help again next time I plan more exploration of the great outdoors in the Humboldt county area.”

About: Hello! My name is Haley Rodden and I’m an experienced house/pet sitter and dog walker. My partner Brandon and I can board dogs and cats at our beautiful home with a fenced backyard. I can also do check ins, walks, or spend the night. I have experience with dogs, cats, chickens, and fish and love animals! I would be happy to provide references. I’m currently an assistant teacher at Glen Paul from 8:30 to 3. I have lots of breaks throughout the year though and will give your pet all the attention it needs before and after work. Whatever service I am providing I will treat your pet like family and spoil them as much as possible! I want them to be happy and comfortable.
“Mary is phenomenal and I felt so good about leaving my two girls with her. She is caring and thoughtful and also kept me updated on everything. I know they were loved on and well taken care of ??”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Trinidad
Colin did an amazing job watching Mae. She is not an easy dog to keep and this was her first time being boarded for so many days. Colin was very patient and conscientious about keeping her happy and safe as she adjusted to the new environment. I had contact each day with updates from Colin of how she was doing which helped me through the process as well. Colin was kind, helpful and always had Mae’s best interests. I would definitely recommend him for boarding.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
