“Johnathan watched my fur babies for 5 days while I was at EDCLV, and he was seriously amazing! I was a little nervous about leaving them, but he totally put my mind at ease. He took such great care of them—feeding, playing, keeping them on their routine—and even sent me regular updates and cute pics, which I really appreciated while I was away. When I got back, the house was super clean, and my pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly loved. It honestly felt like they didn’t even miss me that much (which is a good thing!). You can tell Johnathan genuinely loves animals and treats them like his own. If you ever need someone dependable and kind to look after your pets, I can’t recommend him enough. I’ll definitely be asking him to pet sit again in the future :)”

“Abby was never more than 5 ft at the most from Jamie! In fact she was probably in her lap alot! Jamie is a real superstar and she was the first person to ever petsit in my home from a service. She took care of Abby like she was a little princess! I recommend Jamie as I was not nervous about my dog for my 16 day trip! Upon my return, Abby was very happy to see me but very relaxed and she didnt have any anxiety !”

About: Certified in Cat and Dog First Aid – American Red Cross Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for a wide range of pets, scaled or furry, young and old. Whether your pet is young and playful or a senior in need of a little extra care, I look forward to giving them the best care they need. I’ve cared for many medium to large dog breeds such as Labrador Retrievers, Boxers, Pit Bulls, Siberian and Alaskan Huskies, and Malamutes. I also have experience with smaller breeds like Dachshunds and French Bulldogs. For cats, I’ve grown up with them in my own home as well as cared for friends and neighbors over the years. I currently share my home with two of my own, Ulysses and James 🐈 🐈⬛. Reliable, compassionate, and trained in pet first aid, I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I'm also happy to help with simple household tasks like bringing in packages or taking out the trash. Feel free to reach out during a visit and let me know! 🕓 Schedule I have a fairly flexible work schedule. I do work a typical 9-5 but can pop in and out for short periods of time. Please message me and we can get you on my schedule ☺️ 💛 Care I think having a set routine for pets is very important, especially when you’re away. Ideally I would try to best emulate what schedule you have your pet on with walks and feeding schedule.

“Shakyra did an awesome job sitting for my pup. She kept me updated and sent me photos while I was away. When I got home my pup was happy and relaxed! I’ll definitely use Shakyra for dog sitting next time.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was eight years old, when I got my first soul pet, Mimi. She was my best friend, and I was lucky to share 19 beautiful years with her. Since then, I’ve lived with and helped raise six more dogs, including my sweet Luna, who we adopted during the pandemic. There’s nothing I love more than spending time with dogs, and it would truly be an honor to care for and bond with yours. I bring years of hands-on experience, deep affection, and a calm, responsible approach to every dog I meet! I’m a graduate student at SDSU studying public health, so I’m definitely available during the evenings and weekends, and my weekdays are often flexible. I always make time for my pups, and I’d be happy to work around your schedule to make sure your dog gets all the love and care they need. I live in a cozy apartment with my sweet 6-year-old Pomchi mix, Luna. She’s incredibly gentle, friendly, and used to being around other dogs. I have a large crate available if needed, and I treat all pets like family. Luna is allowed on the couch, but I always wash her paws after our daily walks. I keep pee pads down just in case, and there are always plenty of toys, treats, and fresh water to keep pups happy and comfortable. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow all your instructions carefully. I stick to your dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications they need. I also keep your home clean and tidy, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.

“I felt very comfortable leaving my dog and elderly cat (who gets meds 2x/day!) with Michelle for 12 days. She is very responsible, has great attention to detail and is highly attentive to making sure all bases are covered. Additionally, and so important, she has a kind, loving and compassionate energy - I felt at ease leaving my furry children and home with her and was not disappointed!”

About: I've been surrounded by and have taken care of animals my entire life. From growing up with both cats and dogs, to housesitting them for friends, family, and roommates in my 20's and 30's, to finally having my own in my 30's and 40's, I LOVE being around animals! I have past experience caring for Border Terrier's, English & French Bulldogs, Pit Bulls, Standard Poodles, Vizsla's, and Mixes of all kinds. Animals are our guardian angels sent to help guide us through this crazy world we live in. They deserve all the attention, care, love, rubs, and treats we have to offer. After all we are living in their world. Pet care is my full time job now having recently left a 23 year career with law firms as an Operations Manager. I'm a caretaker and I love being of service especially in times of need. I'm here to make your life easier and stress free whenever you need assistance with your fur baby. Be it walks during the day, drop-ins, doggy day care, boarding, or house sitting, I will work with you to meet you and your dogs needs. I also offer pick-up and drop-off service if needed. I share a larger one bedroom apartment in Hillcrest with my pet loving partner who works for Petco. Our unit has A/C, is smoke-free, has a covered outdoor patio, and we live across the street from a small grassy park-let. We only board up to two dogs at a time to ensure they have enough room to run around, relax, and feel at home. They are guaranteed to get lots of attention, play time, and love. I guarantee at least 4 outdoor activities a day when boarding; morning and evening walks, a midday walk/activity, and a bed time pee. For consistency of training and routine my care is an extension of your care/rules. I will work closely with you to understand your dogs routine, needs, and training.

“We cannot say enough good things about Cristen! She is AMAZING! She treated our boy Dash with utmost care and love, and we received lots of updates and photos during our time away, and that made us feel so wonderful to know our pup and home were in good hands. If she’s available, snatch her up!”

“Bianca is an amazing sitter. Every time I need someone to care for my cats , I call her because I know she will take great care of my babies 🐈⬛. She goes and beyond with her care, often bringing treats for them and keeping me up to date on pet related news and information. She helped me with recommendations for allergy friendly food and litter which has made a huge difference for me and the cats. She is great at thinking of creative ways to provide enrichment and always sends me photos of the fun. My cats’ space is also always tidier after Bianca leaves. She’s quick to solve any problems that may arise and is a reliable, clear communicator. I don’t trust anyone else with my home and babies.”
Tierrasanta pet parents share their Rover experiences
Tristan did a great job house/pet sitting for our two dogs (and turtles). He was conscientious, provided updates, and didn't hesitate to ask questions when needed. This was our first booking with Tristan and will definitely consider him for future house/pet sitting needs. Highly recommend. Thank you, Tristan!

Courtney is absolutely wonderful! We never worry when she’s caring for our two cats. Her communication is excellent and our home is always spotless. It’s rare to find someone as kind, attentive and reliable as Courtney. Best of all, our animals are calm, happy and never stressed when we come home. If you want a truly worry free pet visit— book her!

Mary was really great about communicating with me while she took excellent care of my pets. She was highly reliable and I felt at ease knowing my cats and dog were being cared for by her. She took my dog on daily walks and left the house clean. Highly recommend!

Alexia is an amazing dog sitter! We have three senior dogs who need a bit of extra care, and she’s been such a wonderful help while we've been away. She checks on them regularly, helps with their diapers, and showers them with love. Your pets are definitely in great hands with her!

I honestly don’t know what to say. I’ve never had someone watch Bruce before that wasn’t a part of our family and Karen was INCREDIBLE. I got lots of updates. She came to my house to meet Bruce and Kearn the Kay of the land before we left town. She was so kind and loving with him and spoiled him the same way we do. She stayed home with him all day and let him snuggle her at night. Bruce is a 15 year old small dog who needs medications and eye drops multiple times a day and Karen didn’t miss a beat. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Karen!

Our pup, Griffey, and I loved Natalie! Griff has a torn CCL and is on a couple meds but Natalie was so sweet and attentive to Griff’s needs. She sent updates and pics regularly so it gave us the peace of mind that our pup was safe and well taken care of. She stayed at our apartment and left everything clean and just as it was left. She’ll definitely be our go-to when we need a pet sitter. Griffey absolutely adored her❤️
