“Lydia was absolutely amazing with Oskie! She spent so much quality time with him, gave him endless love and attention, and made sure he felt comfortable and cared for. Lydia communicated wonderfully, sending updates and photos that always put my mind at ease knowing Oskie was in great hands. It’s clear she truly loves and cares for the pets she looks after. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely book with her again!”

“Our pups are super shy, and Claudia was so patient and creative in helping them feel comfortable while we were away! Great communication and so kind to our babies - we will definitely be booking again :)”

“Payton was a great communicator. She came over to meet our pups in advance and we felt very comfortable with her watching our two dogs. Through the weekend she sent pics and updates daily. Will use her again should we need a pet sitter.”

About: Animal care is my passion, and I've cared for many different kinds, from rodents, reptiles, and birds to dogs and cats. Whatever your pet's care needs are, i will ensure they are treated like family. I am a veterinary assistant full time, so I am available to care for you fur babies on my off days or before or after my shifts! As someone who works in the veterinary field, you can rest assured that your pet or pets will be safe and cared for when they are with me.
“Sunny is the BEST! She was flexible with our schedule changes and incredibly kind. She is very knowledgeable, prompt, trustworthy, and has a true heart for animals! We will definitely be using her going forward, and highly recommend to others.”
“Did a wonderful job watching our kitties for 3 days over the holidays while we were away! Gave them treats and attention and also cleaned up after them. Will definitely contact her in the future.”

“Suzie is the absolute best! My parrot adores her. Omar is a total turd and generally hates everyone equally. Suzie is so animated and playful, singing and playing peek a boo with him that he’s a different bird when she’s with him. Reserve Suzie- you won’t regret it!”

About: I have always taken care of animals since a very young age. I have pet sat for my family and friends for years. I absolutely adore animals and am now working in a pet hospital for that reason! I have worked with dogs as small as 4 pounds and dogs as big as 120 pounds. I believe some animals just need someone to take the time to understand them, some need a little more care and attention. I am currently working part-time at an animal hospital which means during slow seasons I have plenty of extra time on my hands. I am mostly available on week days and very rarely on weekends. I have no problem adjusting to your pets needs whether it’s to be smothered in kisses and rubs or to simply just keep them company (the second is more so for cats as I know some prefer company over cuddles). I am moderately active so I can play with them for a while (fetch, chase them, be chased, etc). I will also immediately alert you if there are any shifts in behavior or health.
“We had a last-minute emergency and needed a cat sitter on incredibly short notice, and Melissa absolutely saved the day! From the start, she was completely reliable and arrived right on time, which gave us immense peace of mind during a stressful situation. Our cats are used to having someone around all the time and can get quite lonely when left alone. They can also be a bit shy, but they must have felt comfortable with her instantly because they didn't hide at all! Instead, they came out to play, interact, and spend time with her. On top of taking excellent care of them, she went above and beyond by sweeping up the litter they tend to kick onto the floor. We couldn't be more grateful for her help and will absolutely be keeping Melissa in mind for our future sitting needs. Highly recommended!”

“Diana was wonderful and thorough! I felt completely at ease leaving her with the care of my cats. The updates/photos each visit were very nice and everything was left clean and in order. I would book again!”

About: I've taken care of all different kinds of dogs and cats. I have expirence with training dogs and love to go on walks. I'm experienced with pets with anxiety and keeping clean food and water bowls with a clean environment. I'm currently working part-time and will have plenty of time to care for your babies! I have no problem being up early or late. I have lots of space in my place with multiple cat towers, toys and running space. I have a lot of hiding spaces and an extra room if needed

“We are so grateful for the wonderful care Caylen provided for our old man. She handled his shyness with such patience and kindness, and it was clear she genuinely cared about his well being. She was extremely punctual, dependable, and consistently went above and beyond. Her communication was excellent throughout our time away, keeping us updated and giving us peace of mind that he was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well cared for dog and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

About: I have always loved dogs and I have decided that I want to be around dogs in my free time because it makes me happy! I am a soon to be retired school teacher and want to spend my time now with animals especially dogs! For the next 10 months I will be still working my teacher schedule and would like to get a head start on my next venture. I would be available for dog sitting on weekends and dog walks after 3pm during the work week and anytime over weekends. I have always had a dog growing up and very lovingly cared for my own dogs for the last 31 years. I enjoy being around all dogs. When I retire I would also like to volunteer somewhere for dogs. Again, for the next 10 months, I will still be working my teacher schedule and I will be available during the work week after 3 PM for dog walks or drop ins and during the weekend for overnights. I also would be available for some of my school breaks. I have a fenced in backyard and one dog named Lina. She is medium sized and very friendly with other dogs. I would love to love on your fur baby.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - The Woodlands
Mindy went above and beyond. We had to extend our visits and she was very accommodating. The daily updates and photos were a very nice touch. Storm, our cat was well taken care of. And we had peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. It allowed for us to relax and enjoy during our trip. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much Claudia for keeping a check on our “old man”. I appreciate you tidying everything up and leaving the key back. I’m sure Liam looked forward to you coming even though he kept to himself. If we ever need services again you are who we will call!! Thank you once again!!
Markia did a wonderful job with my cat Norman, especially for it being her first time with him. She was very communicative throughout the entire process and followed all of my instructions carefully, including taking extra care with his food, Norman has no teeth, so his dry food needs to be softened with hot water, and she prepared it perfectly, even better than I usually do. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like putting out catnip for him, and I was pleasantly surprised that Norman came out for her, which says a lot given how shy he is. I would definitely book her again!

Noelle was phenomenal, from the pictures, to the boys’ check-in cards (which were hilarious, Noelle knew our cats personalities instantly), we were able to enjoy our trip knowing someone who genuinely loved not just our boys, but all cats, was giving them all the attention, love, and care they needed. Best decision ever!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in The Woodlands. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
