About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who has been caring for pets since I was 10 years old. Over the years, I’ve helped neighbors, family members, and friends by pet sitting, dog walking, and providing loving care while they’re away. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for when you can’t be with them. I pride myself on being reliable, responsible, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs and personality. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their regular routine, I’m committed to making them feel comfortable and loved. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always strive to provide peace of mind for pet parents. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work a hybrid schedule, which gives me flexibility to provide pets with plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. On days I work from home (which is Monday, Thursday and Friday) I’m able to be present and attentive, and on office days (Tuesdays and Wednesday's) I plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets receive the care they need. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life. I treat my mini dachshund like he is my child. I enjoy spending time with pets, whether that’s going for walks, going to the park, playing, providing cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I also have a nanny cam that I check in on when I am away. I prioritize reliability, communication, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. As a mini dachshund owner, I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, love, and care while you’re away. I’ve cared for friends’ dogs in my home before and always work to make them feel comfortable by sticking to their normal routines as much as possible. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual schedule and any specific instructions to help their pet feel safe, comfortable, and stress free. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Sherri was absolutely amazing checking in on our two cats 2x day. She was great with communication and sending pictures to keep us updated. Our shy kitten even started to warm up to her. So very thankful for her and highly recommend booking her service!”

“Our pups are super shy, and Claudia was so patient and creative in helping them feel comfortable while we were away! Great communication and so kind to our babies - we will definitely be booking again :)”

“Mindy was absolutely amazing! We had to leave town sooner than I was able to meet Mindy. I messaged her the night before and she was more than happy to help. Also Rufus was stinky he definitely was due for a bath. Mindy paid no mind to it and took care/loved on Rufus. She was on time and kept me updated. We felt so blessed getting her as a pet sitter and will definitely use her again.”

“Charis was absolutely incredible!! She made us feel so comfortable with leaving our kitties for the first time. She was so quick to reply and sent so many pictures of the cats during her drop in visits and i could tell they felt safe and comfortable around her! She took very great care of our pets and I will absolutely book her again!”

“Tori was fantastic! We felt confident that our dogs were left in great hands. We received multiple pictures and videos and overall the communication left us reassured. We came home to two happy and well cared for pups. We will definitely be asking Tori to pet sit for us again in the future.”

“We are so grateful for the wonderful care Caylen provided for our old man. She handled his shyness with such patience and kindness, and it was clear she genuinely cared about his well being. She was extremely punctual, dependable, and consistently went above and beyond. Her communication was excellent throughout our time away, keeping us updated and giving us peace of mind that he was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well cared for dog and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

“Robin was soooo good. I couldn't have asked for more. My typically shy cat warmed up to her quickly. She kept me informed eyery day. If you choose her I'm sure you won't be disappointed.”

“Sonia is the best! My cats LOVED her and animals are very good judges of character. She kept me in the loop the whole time we were away and sent me pictures and videos of her playing with the cats. Even the shy one came out of his shell (which he won’t even do for me) and played with her. I feel like I’ve made a new friend - my cats certainly have!”

“Catherine was always on time and following all of our wishes for taking care of our baby Indie. She was extremely communicative and responsive the entire time when we were gone. We got lucky when we found Catherine and will be using her for all of our future travel plans for watching our little girl. Thank you Catherine!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for 20 years, starting with dogs and cats growing up, and later managing a household of up to 5 dogs and 2-3 cats at a time as an adult. In college I even helped bottle-raise baby animals alongside a close friend who’s now a veterinarian. I have hands-on experience with senior pet care, including managing diabetes with insulin injections for both a dog and a cat, and administering subcutaneous fluids to an elderly cat. I’m comfortable with pets who need extra medical attention or a gentler pace, as well as high-energy pups who need a good long walk. As a homeowner and mom of three, I understand how much trust it takes to hand over your keys and your pet. I treat every home and every animal like it’s my own. My schedule varies day to day, so before I confirm any booking, I check my calendar to make sure I can fully commit — once I say yes, you can count on me. I’m generally available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week, and I’ll always give you a clear answer up front about what I can take on. When I care for pets in your home, I follow your instructions closely: feeding schedules, medication routines, favorite toys, and any house rules you have. I’m experienced with medication administration, including insulin injections and subcutaneous fluids for pets with medical needs, so I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions for seniors or pets with health conditions. I treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. As a homeowner with three kids myself, I understand the trust it takes to let someone into your space, and I take that seriously
“Ailen was amazing with my sweet Izzy, who absolutely loved her. It was love at first sight, for sure! Ailen sent me pictures & videos, the whole time I was away at an event & it was evident that Izzy was having so much fun & felt right at home with Ailen. Can’t wait for her to come back next month, when we need to go out of town overnight. I highly recommend Ailen for your sweet dog too! 😊”

“Kaitlyn was fantastic. She showed up as scheduled and even met us the day before to get introduced to our new puppy. She even sent us daily updates during her visits. We are so lucky to have gotten her as our dog walker.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Heritage Place
Markia did a wonderful job with my cat Norman, especially for it being her first time with him. She was very communicative throughout the entire process and followed all of my instructions carefully, including taking extra care with his food, Norman has no teeth, so his dry food needs to be softened with hot water, and she prepared it perfectly, even better than I usually do. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like putting out catnip for him, and I was pleasantly surprised that Norman came out for her, which says a lot given how shy he is. I would definitely book her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Heritage Place. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
