“Pam did a great job with Cookie, who was very excited today. It’s obvious that Pam loves and understands dog behavior. We’re happy to have Pam begin walking Cookie on a recurring basis.”

“I just wanted to share my wonderful experience with Danielle, who walked my dog, Kai. From the moment I met her, I could tell she was genuinely passionate about animals. She took the time to get to know Kai and understand her personality and needs before their first walk. During their time together, Danielle was attentive and caring, ensuring that Kai was comfortable and happy. She provided regular updates and sent me pictures, which truly put my mind at ease while I was at work. It was clear that Kai enjoyed her walks with her, as she came back looking tired. I also appreciated her flexibility and communication. Danielle was always prompt in responding to any questions I had, which made the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog walker. We look forward to many more walks with her in the future! Thank you, Danielle!”

“I cannot praise Mihaela enough for the wonderful job she did!! It was my first time using/trusting someone from Rover with my dog Blu and I couldn’t be more impressed. Mihaela, was extremely nice, friendly, and great with Blu when she met him! She walked him for the full amount of time and then some on most days. What I love most was her thoroughness of her notes about her walks and the cute pictures she would provide. All in all, it was such a wonderful experience and I can’t thank her enough for the exceptional job she did! Probably will be the only dog sitter/walker I ever go with! 😌”

“Lindsey is a great communicator and very professional. I really enjoy the photos she takes on the walks. The girls seem to like her and they look really happy in her photos. Definitely will continue using her services when needed.”

About: I've owned animals my whole life! Growing up in Montana, I had all sorts of furry friends! Having raised four children, we always had pets of some sort! My kids are adulting now, and I currently don't own any animals of my own, so I thought I could get my furry fix by helping other owners when their pets need care! Just trying to fill my own void, while helping someone else out! I am self-employed and work from home. My days/weeks are usually pretty flexible! I sell real estate, and can usually take pets along for the ride, or am not gone for long periods of time during the day if I do have to leave! I am happy to take care of your pets the way you prefer they are cared for. I love fur babies, and am just not in a place in life to own them right now, so I wanted to both get my fur baby fix while at the same time, helping an owner in need! I have extensive experience with animals, and even worked in a vet clinic when I was younger.
“My 1 year old lab took to Alexandrea right away! She spent 1 hour walking my pup while I had a long day at work and I came home to a happy, not stressed, pup. I will definitely book her again!”

“Brian is amazing! He was very communicative and was really great at understanding our pets needs/care instructions. He went above and beyond bringing in our packages, bringing a pop up water bowl, and making sure our pup had enough water after his walk. I would recommend him to anyone looking to care for their pet! Will definitely be using him again.”

“Remy was fantastic with our boy. Gave him twice daily walks and tired him out. We appreciate you so much, Remy. Loved the twice daily pics of our Charlie. Definitely will use her again!”

About: Hi there! I'm Melissa, a Colorado based dog lover with a soft spot for big personalities (mine included). I share my home with Shadow, my white Husky, who has taught me everything about patience, energy management, and the art of a truly dramatic sigh. If your dog has opinions, zoomies, or a favorite toy they refuse to share, we will get along great. I have spent years watching and caring for pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors, so I know that every animal has their own quirks, routines, and love language. Some want a calm cuddle buddy. Some want a full-on adventure. I show up ready for either, with plenty of treats, patience, and genuinely too much enthusiasm for a game of fetch. I offer dog walking, pet boarding, house sitting, and drop in visits or daycare, so whatever your pet needs while you are away, I have a way to help. Whether it is a quick midday walk, a weekend stay at my place, or someone camped out on your couch keeping your pet company, you can count on me to treat your fur baby like part of my own pack. Booking a sitter can feel nerve wracking, especially the first time. My goal is to make it easy: clear communication, photo updates so you never have to wonder how things are going, and a genuine love for animals that your pet will pick up on immediately. Let's set up a meet and greet so Shadow and I can meet your best friend! I have a flexible schedule which gives me plenty of time to spend with your pets. I'm available weekdays after 8:30am, and anytime on weekends, for walks, drop in visits, daycare, or boarding. If your schedule shifts last minute, just let me know, I'm flexible and happy to work around you. My home has a fully fenced yard, so your dog gets plenty of safe space to run and sniff to their heart's content. I also have one friendly dog of my own who loves making new friends. If your dog does best with a crate, I'm happy to use one, whatever keeps them comfortable is what we'll do.
“Cami B were fantastic dog walkers! They were reliable, friendly, and great with our pups. It gave us real peace of mind knowing the dogs were getting good walks, attention, and care. We really appreciate them and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy dog walkers.”

“Best dog walker we ever had! Sherlock had a great time with her and got all of his puppy energy out during their walks. She was very punctual and polite! Would definitely book with her again!”

“Nothing but great things to say about Betsy! She has taken our dog on a few walks and she was on time, went above and beyond on the walks, kept us updated and took lots of photos! We will definitely be using her again for our walking or boarding needs! Thank you Betsy!”

About: I have owned many different types of animals since I was a child from guinea pigs to bearded dragons to cats and dogs. In high school I fostered multiple litters of kittens. At my old apartment complex I pet-sat and dog walked for multiple neighbors. I also helped trained multiple puppies. I am proficient in providing care like nail trimmings, teeth brushing, basic grooming for long hair, medication routines, etc. for exotic and common animals. I am currently a full time college student. With school most of my classes fall between 8am- 2pm so I am free every evening and can do early morning drop ins. I strive to do my best to take care of pets in clients homes as if the client was there themselves. I always make sure to follow any directions given to me by clients to the tea. I also give daily updates and always reach out to the clients if I have any questions or issues that arise.

“We needed a few last minute walks, and Nancy was super responsive and did a great job. She communicated clearly, took cute photos, and is on our short list for the future. Thanks Nancy!”

Lyndsey was great with our dog Cookie, who can definitely be a handful. She took time to meet Cookie before her first walk and assess how best to handle our strong, high-energy Labrador. Lyndsey also has great interpersonal and communication skills. She gets 5 stars and our highest recommendation.

She took great care of Hokulani and Halia and we were very pleased with her help. She was reliable, caring, and wonderful with both dogs. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands, and we would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
