“Ashlee has done a great job walking my two Weimeraners to get their energy out when I’ve been tied up at work. I appreciate her updates, photos, and knowing they got some love during the day before I get home. She is punctual and reliable.”

“Bailey was VERY excited to see Danielle at our front door this morning. Danielle has a cheerful disposition and a joyful spirit. Even though this is only the second time she has walked Bailey for us, I trust her and am thankful to have another dog walker on Team Bailey.”

About: i’ve been a pet pro at a daycare and boarding place for a little over a year now and have learned so much! I’d love to help! Just have my current job to work around. I mostly work 3-8 or 12-8 so i’m mostly free outside of those times, and im open to communication on my availability. I like to show them lots of love! my goal is to help them get their wiggles out so they can have a stress free rest of their day!
About: I’ve had dogs for most of my life and bring over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for them. I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities, including reactive dogs and senior dogs who need extra patience, consistency, and attention. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and behavior so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, or needs a slower pace, I adjust my approach to meet their needs. I’ve also helped care for neighbors’ pets over the years, providing dependable support and making sure their pets are well cared for and relaxed in their home environment. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available most weekdays and weekends. I’m able to accommodate a variety of times, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I try to keep things as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible. Feeding, walks, and whatever they’re used to day to day. I know pets do best when things feel familiar. I’m calm and patient, especially with dogs that might be a little anxious, reactive, or older. I pay attention to how they’re acting and adjust as needed. In your home, I’m respectful and keep things tidy. I’ll also send updates and photos so you know how everything is going.
“I cannot praise Mihaela enough for the wonderful job she did!! It was my first time using/trusting someone from Rover with my dog Blu and I couldn’t be more impressed. Mihaela, was extremely nice, friendly, and great with Blu when she met him! She walked him for the full amount of time and then some on most days. What I love most was her thoroughness of her notes about her walks and the cute pictures she would provide. All in all, it was such a wonderful experience and I can’t thank her enough for the exceptional job she did! Probably will be the only dog sitter/walker I ever go with! 😌”

“It was so nice knowing Sam and kipper were gonna get some exercise while we were away. Noelle showed up on time and the pics were great. I give her extra kudos see as the weather was extremely cold. Will definitely use her again!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had dogs and a cat in the house, so caring for pets isn't just something I do — it's something I genuinely love. That foundation gave me an early appreciation for how much patience, attention, and affection animals need to truly thrive. Over the past several years, I've built hands-on experience pet sitting for my four brothers, all of whom have dogs. Through them, I've cared for a wide variety of breeds and sizes — from a 9-week-old German Shepherd/Husky mix puppy who needed constant supervision and socialization, all the way to a laid-back 9-year-old Black Lab who just wanted belly rubs and a steady routine. Every dog is different, and I've learned to read and adapt to each one's personality and needs. Beyond family, I've also cared for friends' dogs, including a one-year-old puppy for a full week and a weekend with a pair of adult Huskies — a breed known for being energetic, vocal, and strong-willed. I handled it with a smile. One thing that sets me apart: I work from home. That means no long hours where your pup is left alone wondering when someone's coming back. I'm there all day, every day — for walks, playtime, cuddles, or just quiet company on the couch. Because I travel frequently, I haven't gotten a dog of my own — but that just means I pour all that love into the pets I care for. When your pet is with me, they're not just being watched. They're being genuinely enjoyed. I'd be honored to be someone you trust with your furry family member while you're away. I work from home full time. I will be available 80-90% of the time to sit and cuddle, walk, or feed your pets while in our care. I love dogs, but since I travel frequently I haven't gotten one of our own yet, so we pour all our love into the animals we board or sit! I have a two-story single-family home. I am on a corner lot, so our backyard is a great size, and all fenced in! There are also have several walking trails and a park within walking distance to take the dogs. No other pets will be here while your dog/s are here with us. I have hardwood floors throughout the home with carpet in the bedrooms and basement. Dogs are welcome on our furniture with me!
“Remy was fantastic with our boy. Gave him twice daily walks and tired him out. We appreciate you so much, Remy. Loved the twice daily pics of our Charlie. Definitely will use her again!”

“Nothing but great things to say about Betsy! She has taken our dog on a few walks and she was on time, went above and beyond on the walks, kept us updated and took lots of photos! We will definitely be using her again for our walking or boarding needs! Thank you Betsy!”

“Pam did a great job with Cookie, who was very excited today. It’s obvious that Pam loves and understands dog behavior. We’re happy to have Pam begin walking Cookie on a recurring basis.”

About: I spend my days providing hospice care at Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary, so I know how precious every moment with your pup is. With 6 years of experience including daycare management, dog training, and medical care (CPR, first aid, and triage). I'm equipped to handle puppies, seniors, and pups with diabetes or epilepsy and many more conditions. I use only positive reinforcement and treat every dog like family. My availability: Open Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays; Thursdays after 12 PM. (I work 12-hour shifts Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, so I'm unavailable those days unless you need late night or early morning care) I have my own pride and joy, Stubby Chubby, who keeps me company on my days off, but he prefers to be the only dog, so I don't offer in-home services. Instead, I'll come to you and treat your home like it's my own (but better, because I'll leave it cleaner than I found it!). Your dog's safety, comfort, and joy are my top priority. Have questions? Feel free to reach out about my schedule, experience, care approach, or anything else I'm happy to chat and make sure we're the perfect fit for your pup! I work 12-hour shifts 3x a week at Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary, but I'm blessed with a 3-day weekend and a short Thursday shift—leaving me open Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday afternoons to care for your pup with the same dedication I give my seniors. At Pepper's, I administer medications to 20+ dogs every week, pills, eye drops, insulin shots, you name it. I'm no stranger to meds. The pups there receive around the clock care, meals, and love, and I work alongside a vet team daily with training in emergencies, first aid, CPR, and behavioral challenges. At home, my own medically compromised pup, Stubby Chubby, keeps me on my toes too so the care doesn't stop when I clock out. What I do is hard work, but I love every minute of it and wouldn't ask to be doing anything else.
“We've hired Megan multiple times to care for our pets. She is extremely reliable and takes great care of them. We will continue to hire Megan anytime we need pet sitting.”

“Kelly is just AWESOME! She has been walking Libby for the past several weeks and I could not be happier. Libby, of course because she knows what day she's coming, gets SO excited when she arrives she can hardly contain herself!!! I work from home and there are days I just can't get away to walk Libby; Kelly has been a lifesaver for me. Thank you so much Kelly! :)”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
