“I was a little nervous about leaving Ingrid since she’s so “needy” and has never been with anyone besides the groomer and that’s only for a couple of hours. But as soon as I met Leah I was instantly at ease. I could tell she loves the fur babies she takes care of. And as I suspected, she and her husband did a lot of holding Ingrid. I wasn’t concerned about Max - he loves everybody and gets along fine with other dogs. I was impressed with Leah’s documentation of the pees/poops/water breaks and food and taking pictures. Beyond family, I've also cared for friends' dogs, including a one-year-old puppy for a full week and a weekend with a pair of adult Huskies — a breed known for being energetic, vocal, and strong-willed. I handled it with a smile. One thing that sets me apart: I work from home. That means no long hours where your pup is left alone wondering when someone's coming back. I'm there all day, every day — for walks, playtime, cuddles, or just quiet company on the couch. Because I travel frequently, I haven't gotten a dog of my own — but that just means I pour all that love into the pets I care for. When your pet is with me, they're not just being watched. About: We both have had dogs all our life. Currently we have 2 Newfoundland’s that get along well with other dogs. We can work with puppies. We love small dogs all the way to extra large. We have experience if giving medications, care from surgeries, and special feeding requirements. Anything you need we can handle. We both work from home so the pups will have free range of the house all day. We have time for walks and play. We typically feed dogs around 6:30-7am and then again around 5pm. Our pups are out and about the house all day. They are kenneled at night and if we leave the house. They pretty much have the run of the house, thus we know dog hair! With 6 years of experience including daycare management, dog training, and medical care (CPR, first aid, and triage). My availability: Open Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays; Thursdays after 12 PM. At Pepper's, I administer medications to 20+ dogs every week, pills, eye drops, insulin shots, you name it. I'm no stranger to meds. The pups there receive around the clock care, meals, and love, and I work alongside a vet team daily with training in emergencies, first aid, CPR, and behavioral challenges. At home, my own medically compromised pup, Stubby Chubby, keeps me on my toes too so the care doesn't stop when I clock out. What I do is hard work, but I love every minute of it and wouldn't ask to be doing anything else.
