Information Megan M. would like to know about your pet
If I am sitting a dog in their home I like to meet them where they are most comfortable. Obviously if an owner would prefer a public place I am more than happy to do that. I like to see dogs in their homes and know all the ins and outs of their routine so I can best match it and keep the pet comfortable. I do not have any breed preferences, as I believe all dogs are individuals. I do like to learn as much about the pet as possible. Does he have any quirks I should know about? What are his commands? Does he like other dogs? Dogs he have any food allergies? Any bad habits I should look out for? Any history of aggression or anxiety? These things I like to know so I can cater best to the pets needs.
A typical day
Depending on your dog's interests there will be lots of play time and/or cuddle time. Also, I would be sure they get the appropriate level of exercise that fits their needs whether that be via walk, run, or play. I like to start my day early with my clients so they get ample play and cuddle time.

I pet sit because I want to provide peace of mind and comfort to those pet parents who are traveling or need help taking care of their pets. Pet sitting provides a more personalized alternative to most boarding options and can keep pets in the comfort of their own homes. A pets' comfort and well being is the most important thing to me. I also have experience with farm animals, as I grew up on a cattle ranch and have always had horses in my life. I currently have 3 horses to keep me busy. Aside from farm animals, I also have experience with small mammals like hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, and ferrets. I am also very comfortable with reptiles and own several myself including snakes, lizards, and amphibians. I love all animals whether they are furry, scaled, feathered and would be more than happy to take care of any kind of animal. I have 15 years of veterinary medicine experience as a veterinary assistant and practice manager. Several of those years were spent at an emergency facility.

Megan is the absolute best! Do not hesitate to book her to take care of your fur babies. We have a crew of pets that is a little… extra… a nervous pup, a spicy cat and a very old kitty. We’ve tried other sitters and this crew has been too much, but not for Megan. She watched them for an entire week, even putting up with our spicy kitty chasing after her for the first few days! She did it all with a positive attitude and even sent silly pictures on Christmas. She has a gift with pets - and made us feel so comfortable! Thank you, Megan for helping us have a great vacation without worry for our pets!
Megan did such an amazing job walking Sloan. She followed all my instructions, provided pictures, and even brought in a package for me.
Megan is wonderful and our dog Jake made a new friend!
