“Working with Caitlin was our first Rover experience, and it was fantastic. She completed daily drop-in visits with our two cats for a week and sent detailed updates each and every day. Each update included plenty of photos and information about our cats’ attitudes and behaviors during her visit. She was also very prompt and responsive to any questions or concerns I had about the cats and about our home in general during our absence. She went above and beyond, and I will definitely be working with her again!”

About: I've always been drawn to animals who are most in need - emotionally and physically. And that means I've gained experience helping animals with medical needs. Since I was 9, I've owned, fostered, delivered, and cared for dogs, cats, and kittens. I have also had a few fish and cared for reptiles and rats, mice, and hamsters. My Norfolk terrier, Chester, had intervertebral disc disease when he was 5. Thankfully, with medical treatment, he regained feeling in his legs! I can give pills without pill-pockets, as well as liquid medicine. I've given shots. And I've administered subcutaneous fluids twice per day to 2 kittens who had panleukopenia virus so they wouldn't get euthanized. But every animal has various needs, medical or otherwise, and deserves the same and equal love and attention. I'd love to care for your cats or dogs as well! At home, a having a senior dog becomes a daily and weekly routine! As with all animals, that means: eat, poop, play, snuggle, nap, love, repeat! Animals are so smart. They know OUR routines and live by them. They say: "She's washing her face at nighttime? That must mean it's time to go outside before sleep! [yaawwn]" I'd love to have a routine with your pet! Initially, getting to know your fur baby/babies will be about taking it slow, giving them the right body (and facial) cues, being consistent, and building a routine. If you're ok with me giving them a treat, I'll do so based on your recommendation. If not, I'll just smell like I have treats! If you choose in-home services, I'll be on your pet's home turf, and I'm always letting your pet decide the play and love that they're comfortable with. If you're requesting pet-walking, your pet will require leadership, for safety reasons and for them to properly relax. Either way, your fur baby will be comfortable and at ease!

About: I have always had pets in my home, with lovely experiences. Volunteered at 3 kennels for animals In need. I able to care for animals very well. I have open availability for the most part and do not mind working the weekends. Have lots of time to walk my new friends around. I would love to come to your home for sitting. I will walk the animals in parks and around New Orleans. Would be interested in home sitting once I get to know the animal.

About: Hello! I am a retired teacher and mom to Benny, my sweet fur baby. I rescued him 10 years ago after my Golden doodle, Sophie, crossed the rainbow bridge. I have 20 years of pet experience, including caring for sick pets. I can administer medication (to dogs) with the help of sweet potatoes, and care for pets who have had surgery, including taking them to follow up visits or physical therapy. I have also cared for senior dogs, including a sweet Chihuahua named Lola who was blind. I provide drop in visits for those of you who would rather not board your dog in a kennel. I adore animals and I am able to care for dogs, fish and cats, including cleaning litter boxes. I can provide references with regard to my skill, honesty, and trustworthiness. I consider pets family members and I know just how important it is to know that they are in good hands when we have to leave them home. I am very conscious and cautious of escape artists, making sure gates are closed, and securing your home before I leave. I hope that I can help you have peace of mind while you are away from your fur baby. I am retired and I am therefore available all days and hours. For bedtime visits, I would have my husband accompany me (for security reasons ) due to the possible lateness of the hour. As stated above, my service would be drop in visits. I would provide the care discussed with you, and then secure your home before leaving.
