About: I volunteer at my local animal shelter and I am great with both dogs and cats. I grew up with my cat, Hepsiba, born before me who died when I was nearly 20 years of age. We were best friends before I knew what that was. Then at the age of 12 or so, my parents adopted 2 English cocker spaniels, brother and sister. So I was taking care of three pets. Then I raised my rescued black lab mix from August 2013 until 2025 with some breaks for the US Army. And I taught him very well; he passed in June but he will probably always be my best friend. For a time, I carried him, 120 lbs, up and down flights of stairs. Carefully and comfortably. I’ve taken care of pets for family members and friends. And did so professionally in the past prior to Rover, after friends got me into it. I’m great with animals. After spending even just a short time with them we can often establish a connection or rapport, especially when training a younger pet (or an old dog). I enjoy taking dogs for long walks, I could run with your dog, play with them, but mostly we’ll be doing what they want - within reason. If it could be all I did, all the time - I think that I would like that just fine. I’ll need a heads up at first to secure prep, but after that I could spend virtually all of my time with your companions - needing only to stop momentarily for supplies. Generally, boarding an animal at my own home is a much bigger ask, if it’s to be overnight. But during the day if they were to be transported here and then picked up again, then it’s fairly simple. Massasoit State Park is half a mile from my house and offers a great destination - all the dogs I’ve taken care of and brought there have loved it. At a home that the pet is used to is really a non-issue, (it helps if the owner is there when I meet the companion in question). Overnight and for extended lengths, though - it would only be a matter of making sure I’d have what I’d need for the length of time, so I would need just a little prep time.

“Molly was great with my sometimes difficult dogs. She also tended to my livestock(chickens and sheep). She kept in touch with us while we were gone for 10 days. She sent pics of my animals during my vacation. We were far away in Ireland but I was able to relax knowing she had things under control. Would be happy to have her again!!”

I am familiar with all types of breeds, big & small, energetic, couch potato, reactive and non reactive. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, specifically dogs, and I have developed so much love for them! I have my own animals and they are truly my babies, and I promise to ensure the same treatment with your fur babies:) I just graduated highschool, and I’m trying to save as much money possible to fund my college tuition as I am studying Business at the University of Maine! I’m currently part-time, which leaves me a lot of free time throughout the day, and why not spend it with animals? My dog is always a priority and so will yours! The dog will be leashed at all times until secure and safe in the home it is from, while making sure they are hydrated and fed. My biggest fear is my dog taking off out the door and it will be my top priority to make sure your fur baby is safe and sound!
