Whether your pup is an energetic youngster who loves to play, a senior who needs a little extra patience, or a shy or anxious rescue who needs time to feel comfortable, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs. I work from home, so your pup will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day! I live in a condo with a small, fenced backyard area for quick outdoor breaks, along with shared outdoor space and nearby areas to enjoy walks and get some fresh air. While my backyard is on the smaller side, I’m happy to incorporate regular walks, playtime, and plenty of indoor cuddles and relaxation into your dog’s stay. I have experience with everything from walking, feeding, and playtime to crating and helping dogs feel safe and comfortable during stressful situations like thunderstorms. I’ve also cared for dogs who resource guard their food or toys, and I understand the importance of respecting their boundaries and following their established routines. My approach to pet care is loving, patient, and attentive. I want your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you’re away! Whether your pup loves exploring outside, playing with their favorite toys, or curling up for a cozy nap, I’ll do my best to make their stay enjoyable and tailored to their needs. I take my responsibility as a pet sitter seriously and will treat your dog like family. You can expect regular photo and text updates throughout their stay, so you can see how your pup is doing and feel reassured that they’re receiving lots of love and attention. Outside of work, I ensure my schedule is wide open for my time to be spent with your pup. I make sure to create a safe and comfortable environment for your dog. I always take extra time to ensure everything's secure, nothing's been left out, and your pup has what they need from me during my time with them! So, even if you have never left your dog with anyone but family, they will be treated like family in my care.

About: My husband and I both grew up with dogs and had the privilege of fostering several dogs while living in Rwanda for 2 years. This past May, we unexpectedly lost our beloved 11-year-old dog. She was so much more than a pet—she was truly a member of our family and had grown up alongside our children, ages 9 and 6. We’re not quite ready to fill the space she left behind, so we thought Rover might be a wonderful way to spend time with dogs again while giving another family peace of mind knowing their dog is being cared for and loved. Your dog is allowed on our furniture and has access to a large fenced in yard! Our dog was fear aggressive and we were unable to utilize a boarding facility. We can sympathize that leaving your dog can be difficult. We’ll treat them like one of our own—with lots of affection, patience, attention, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. Having fostered dogs with very different personalities and backgrounds, we know that every dog has their own needs, quirks, and way of showing love. We’d love to welcome your dog into our home and give them the same love and care we’ve always given our own. Note: For the comfort and safety of your pup, we only care for dogs from one family at a time. We’re happy to accommodate two dogs from the same family, but we do not mix dogs from different households during the same stay. I work in healthcare on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM–11:00 PM, and Saturdays I work a 12 hour shift and am home all other days. On the days I work, my husband is home by 2:30 PM, and he is home with our children on Saturdays. Our family does have occasional evening or weekend commitments for our children’s sports, but these are typically short outings, and we are rarely away from home for more than about four hours at a time. We’re happy to work with you to make sure your dog’s routine and needs fit comfortably into our schedule. Because I have a flexible schedule the majority of the week, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and breaks throughout the day. I’m also happy to accommodate a dog who needs more frequent potty breaks or simply prefers not to be alone for long periods (we've been there). We have a large fenced in yard where your dog can run to their heart's content. We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood and have the perfect mile walking loop. Your dog is welcome to sleep in our bed, lounge on the couch and take a snooze on our deck.
